Hello warhogs17,
After reviewing your post, it sounds like the iPhone will not turn on past the Apple logo. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

  • Comparing switch control and switch output and setting switch control accordingly

    Hello,
i am developing a GUI for a system which contains relays to control the motors. For the same purpose i am using switch control on my GUI to control these relays.when these relay  are turned ON by the switch control on my GUI, they give back status to the GUI, which i am displaying as a switch status .
Now the switch control and switch status on GUI must be same every time so that user can know the actual state of relay and control it.
Now i have a condition when i have already turned ON switch from my GUI but due to some reason (may be communication fault or anything else) rellay is not turned ON and i get status of relay as OFF on my switch indicator. So the situation is" the switch control is in ON state and switch indicator displays OFF state".  which is practically wrong.
I want that in this case the GUI should detect the status of the switch indicator and if the switch control is not the same , the switch control should be set as per the switch indicator so that user can use the switch again to turn the switch ON

    Hello Mike,
                        Thanks for the response!!
As i have described the situation above, in any case if switch control fails to send message to relay due to some hardware fault , in that case relays will be off and the switch on GUI will be ON , and user will think that the relay is ON.Which is false condition.
i tried to use property value(signl)   to give back the status of switch indicator to the switch control.
You can have a look at attached files which i have made as demo.
Now the problem is when i run my GUI for the first time all the switch on the front panel are off by default which creates a conflict to control the switches.
Besides i am unaware of the timing events and how to implement it in my application . It would be great if you could provide some more details about it.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Shivkant Paswan

  • Laptop turns on and then off within seconds

Here is my problem.. My laptop, which is only 1 yr 3 mos old, will not cut on. I shut the lid and when I went to open it agian, it would not resume.. So I had to manual shut it down.. When I attempted to cut it on again, it will not come on.. The light will flash on and back off.

It is possible that it could be a bad RAM stick.
Try this: Take out one of your RAM  sticks, reboot your computer.  If it starts properly, then the RAM that was taken out was the culprit.  If when you reboot you have the same problem, switch RAM sticks and try the same thing with the other RAM stick and see if that works.
If the problem is your RAM, this will tell you which one is bad.
Let us know how it goes.

  • IPhone 4 shuts off randomly, will only turn on after hard boot, then shuts back off within 10 minutes

My iphone 4 just had its 30 pin port replaced and also i believe the battery was just replaced. It will only turn on with a hard start (Holding the wake/sleep + Home) then within the next 10 minutes it shuts back off. I have been trying to recovery mode restore it and it keeps having the problem. I am about to finish another recovery restore. Ill update if this fixes it.

Whoever replaced the port and the battery made an unauthorized repair, as Apple never replaces parts (except for the battery). Whoever did it broke your phone. Take it back to them, as Apple will no longer touch it.

  • My Ipod keeps turning on and shutting back off when trying to recharge.

My 4th Generation 30gb ipod powers on and turns itself back off before it loads the menu screen when I try recharging it. It does repeatedly and I can't access the menu or anything because the battery is low. Can someone identify this problem? I hope my ipod hasn't failed me because I have taken good care of it.

You might want to try to force it into disk mode so your computer will recognize it to do a restore.

My mac pro dont start stay download and turn back off

Thisvis not MacBook territory but.... same applies - bootable backup clone of your system and iot should never crash or freeze but if it does then consider using Recovery Mode immediately and Safe Boot Mode.
Your drive and its directory cannot be repaired without doing more.

  • KT4 Ultra Powers Off within Seconds of Power Up

Ok, here's the situation... this board powers down everytime within seconds of powering up, usually even before the video card can POST, although I have seen it POST a couple times.
I believe I've ruled out every possibility but the board...  I've got the board out of the case on it's box, and the only thing connected is the CPU, the video card, the power switch cable. and a CPU fan, which is using the power supply for power, not the board.
I have tried 2 different power supplies, 2 different video cards, 2 different processors, 2 different power cords, 2 different outlets, and using the reset button to power the board up (in case the pickup in the power switch was sticky).  I've tried 2 different RAM modules, as well as removing the RAM entirely, and clearing the CMOS... everytime, it's the same result, it powers itself off right away.
I know everything points the board being bad, but I had an ASUS board that was doing this identical thing because of the thermal protection circuitry, I could clear the CMOS to get to the BIOS, and then disable thermal protection.  It doesn't look like that's going to work here, but I thought I'd post this anyway, and see if anyone has any suggestions...

Ok... well, I feel a little dumb admitting this, but I suppose if it helps someone else down the road, it's worth it.
Problem solved... and the resolution was so simple I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't just seen it.  I cleaned off my heatsink, and the cpu core, and reapplied new thermal grease to both, then made sure the heatsink was fit as tightly as I possibly could... and voila... no more problem.
I will admit, that the heatsink I was a Swiftech unit off an old Duron CPU, and in my haste, I didn't clean it before using it again.  I never imagined that these things could overheat so quickly, but let that be a lesson to those of you like me who haven't built a machine in the last 2 years or so.  I guess the heatsink working was just something I took somewhat for granted.
Thanks to those of you who took time to try and help... hopefully my lesson will help one of you.

  • Computer turns off within seconds of turning it on

    Hi everyone.
I've had my CyberPowerPC computer since August of last year. It works amazingly, super fast, the SLi works flawlessly, the RAM, liquid cooling, 2HDDs...everything is GREAT...once it turns on of course.
Since day one, I have had this issue where I press the power button on the tower, the computer begins to turn on, all the fans, LEDs, HDDs inside come on...everything looks great. Then the whole thing powers off before it gets to POST. In total, the computer was on for like 4 seconds. I have been able to get passed this by just pressing the power button again right when the computer would turn itself back off and holding it for a second then everything boots up perfect.
I've looked everywhere for solutions to this ranging from metal contact between the motherboard and the tower, faulty powersupply, etc. I think(!!) it's because of the Over Voltage Protection that is a feature of my power supply (Toughpower W0155RU 1000w) turning the computer off because it is detecting either too much power or not enough power...the power supply is obviously strong enough because it can handle the system when I trick it into turning on and it never overheats or powers itself off once its fully up and running...also heat is not the issue because this happens right from the start, even after my computer has been off for days. Already tried removing all the RAM sticks (4 x2GB *got expected error), and then 1 stick at a time...still didn't work. The voltage coming from the outlet isn't to blame because this happens no matter what location I plug my computer into (outlets at home, school, friend's houses, etc.). ALSO, when I shut down my computer, I'm not able to turn it back on for at least 10 minutes, it will just sit there completely dead with only the LEDs on the motherboard lit up no matter how many times I press the power button...
I bought it just before school because I needed it for school, so I never was really able to troubleshoot this issue by taking the tower apart and checking all the connections and such, so now I will be able to do it since I've graduated (from college) and don't rely on my computer so heavily.
any suggestions on what it might be before I go crazy on this thing and waste time on things it couldn't be? I hope it's not the motherboard, so I don't have to send it back in to CyberPower for repairs and not be able to use it for some time.
    the rig:
    cpu - core 2 quad q9550
    psu - 1000w toughpower thernaltake
    gpu - 2x GTX260
    ram - 8GB ddr2 800
    cool - acetek liquid cooling
    hdd - 1x 10k rpm 74GB, 1x 7200rpm 300GB
    mobo - nforce 780i SLi
    thanks guys.

There should be a way to open up the faceplate of your computer, and then with a eraser on a pencil , press the power button with the tower plugged in and see what happens.
