Try doing a hard reset on the phone;
1. Hold Home and Sleep/Wake buttons at the same time;
2. Wait for the Apple logo to appear (ignore the slide to Power Off option)
3. Let go of the buttons when you see Apple on the screen
4. Allow iPhone to reboot;
If that doesn't work; try a backup and restore in iTunes;
*These steps will resolve your issue; or rule out any chance that the charging issue is related to software bug/glitch. If you still can't get the phone to charge after the reset and/or restoring it, your device may need serviced.

I've encountered this error myself upon occasion. If I remember correctly, it was a permissions/ownership issue with the some of the files I was copying.

I can run the following query perfectly in SQL*Plus: SELECT * FROM ETS.MYTABLE
But when I run the exact same query in my java code using the following statement:
stmt.executeQuery( "SELECT * FROM ETS.MYTABLE" )
I get the following exception: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
Both the table, as well as the schema ETS, exist and this is validated when the query is run in SQL*Plus.
What am I doing wrong? Please help!!

What am I doing wrong? Can't get images to open correctly in CS5.

I've been using Lightroom 3 for a while and decided to take the plunge and integrate CS5 into my workflow. I'm really new to CS5, so this is probably a stupid question. When I try to edit a photo in CS5, all I see is a black screen. I can see the thumbnail in the "layers" tab, but nothing else. If I select a large area, using one of the selection tools, I see a highly pixelated picture that only resolves if I click the actual pixels button. The same thing happens when I try to open a picture directly in CS5. I can see the preview, and when I click "open" I get the same black screen. What gives? Do I have something set incorrectly, or is this just general incompetence. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks to all! I have a pretty old laptop that has an ATI Radeon X1400 graphics card and the Mfr hasn't upgraded that in years. Nonetheless, I downloaded the latest version and re-installed, but I still had the problem. I disabled the Open GL option and that seems to have solved the issue. What did I disable and how badly will that affect my work (assuming, of course, that I can actually learn to use the software!). Thanks again for your patience. I appreciate it.

What am I doing wrong? Can't install iTunes due to old iPod software

Hi - iTunes will not install - error message says it can't upgrade old iPod software and it should be uninstalled. I had an old 2ndGen iPod and I have removed everything to do with that (Musicmatch, quicktime, iPod manager (although teh latter proved difficult as it wouldn't delete from Program Files - got rid of it and then when I reinstalled everything in order to uninstall again to see if that would fix, it now wont delete at all) etc.) and have been through all the windows installer clean-ups and everything else on the support page.
Has anyone else encountered this - would really appreciate help as doing my head in! Its so I can use new Nano.

Re-did the windows installer clean-up and found a tiny bit of old Ipod updater software which I've deleted and its now working...at last!

Images with transparency display edge artefacts - What am I doing wrong, how can this be resolved

Using MUSE CC 2014
I need to place photoshop images of text (with transparency) over a full screen slide show but I'm getting edge artefacts around the lettering which looks, well frankly, horrible. I don't recall previous versions of MUSE being quite as bad as this, am I doing something wrong? Is there a trick to overcome these ugly artefacts?

I was dropping a pds file onto the stage. No other layers than image and transparent bg. I was scaling the image down in Muse which as I've discovered exaggerates the visibility of the image edge artefacts. After doing a bit of reading it appears this is a known problem with Adobe Muse, something to do with the algorithms Muse uses to scale images. I also think the colour of the layer contributed a little to the effect also.
Problem solved when I ditched the PSD route and instead imported the image SS as a PNG.

You can't create a new iCloud acount using a PC. You must create it on an Apple device, a Mac or an iPad/iPhone. Then you can use it on your PC.

Home sharing is on, but library does not show up under sharing. Turned off then on again and home sharing shows up and the disappears when I click done. What am I doing wrong???

Home sharing can't connect on my computer. It will recognize a library on one computer but not another. Tried turning it off and then on and got nothing. to make things a little more easy, i'd perfer to have all my itunes on a network drive for all pc's connected to one itunes and scratch the home sharing itunes to view under another itunes.
Only problem im having is that wrong pictures are showing up for movie/tv show connecting to different computers conecting to one itunes library.

Here is a step by step of what I've done:
Created a folder on my desktop. Copied .mov to this folder.
Created a new flash file (Actionscript 3.0, CS3). Saved into same
folder on desktop. Used Import Video to import .mov file
(Progressive download, etc). Video imported fine. I tested the
movie and all looks good. So then I published. I checked out the
publish previews and all look good!
So next I took my folder from my dekstop and all it's
contents (.mov, .fla, .flv, .swf, skin.swf, .html, and .js) and
uploaded to my ftp. When I go to the site nothing shows up and it
says there was one error opening the page. So then I looked at the
activity and it says the .flv is not found. But I checked AGAIN and
the .flv is in the same folder as the rest of my files.
Am I missing a step? I am very new to flash and I can't
figure out what I'm doing wrong. Can anyone help? Should I be
posting this in another forum?

Check with your hosting provider to make sure their MIME type
is set to display the FLV format.

Yesterday,following directions in iMac Magazine on my iPad I turned on iCloud for Pages.
My documents disappeared from my iPad. After finding out how to locate them in iCloud I am unable to open them to edit or even read them for that matter.
What am I doing wrong.

Thanks. That was indeed the problem. A few hints for others with this problem. You can only find out that you need to upgrade, and upgrade, by cabling your iPad to your computer. Then the next Tricky part is making sure you have your iPad purchases saved on your computer. Then you download the new OS upgrade and you will get a "start up" type of screen on your iPad with a few questions. Nowhere is there a very good explanation that you want to then go back to your computer and restore your iPad. I finally did that because there were no other obvious alternatives, though all the warnings made me very nervous. After the restore command, I synched my iPad and I seem to have everything back, and I can now access iCloud. maybe I missed some instructions somewhere, but I found this process much more obscure than the usual Apple directions. Thanks for your help!

You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

What am I doing wrong with Flex 3 and BlazeDS

I using Blaze, Flex3 and Cairngorm, I have a simple
application at the moment, in which I dispatch a Cairngorm event,
it gets picked up the Command is executed and the Delegate can send
data to the RemoteObject. I can see in the output that Blaze is
doing what it is supposed to do and returning what it is supposed
to return, but the data returned never makes it to the IResponder
result function. What am I doing wrong? Can post code if

You get the track/artist names off the back of the CD and type them in yourself.
You have to have internet for itunes to get them automatically from the gracenotes/CDDB online database.
Importing one-by-one and editing the info would have been a better scheme. Now you've got a hot mess!
Unless you know the songs well enough to recognize them when they're played, I don't see how you're going to get it all straight without importing them again.

What am I doing wrong when trying to create a floating field?

I am trying to create a floating field that is 'connected' to a global Text field. To my opinion I followed all instructions as in the help file, but it doesn't seem to work. Anyhow, the information I type in the text field does not pop-up in the text. I have setup the floating field as follows:
Type = Text field
Appearance = none (I do not want a box or something around the text)
Field format = plain text
Presence = hidden (excluded from layout)
Value = calculated (read only); I have tried all other options too, but nothing seem to work
Calculation script
Binding = global (and name is the name as used for the text field)
I have used another text field that is connected to the same text field as referred to above and that works just fine.
What am I doing wrong?
Can anyone help me out here?

If anyone is following this thread, I found the solution to my problem where the Floating Fields did not work. BTW, I am using LiveCycle Designer ES 4.
Under Form Properties/Defaults, you need to change "Choose Target Version" to "Adobe and Adobe Reader 9.1 or later". Save the change, and floating fields should work now.

Calendar does not synch properly. what am i doing wrong?

when i synch my iphone with my imac, everything synchs beautifully.... my music, my videos, my apps. everything EXCEPT my calendar. MOST of my events are duplicated (on my iphone - none on my computer), but some show up on ical and some show up on my phone... nothing is consistent. i feel like i have tried everything. turning on icloud back up, turning off icloud back up. going through my WHOLE calendar on my iphone and erasing duplicate entries. i don't know what i am doing wrong. can anyone help?
