HT1491 I log in with $6.61 cents of credit. I redeem an I-tunes gift card worth $25. My ballance is now $25. NOT $31.61!!! What gives?

Why doesn't money already in my account stay in my account? When I logged in I had a ballance of $6.61. I redeemed a $25 dollar (clearly marked and first use) now instead of $31.61 I have only $25 - the amount of the gift card.
Does it make a difference that I was using the original amount to buy music and the second gift card to buy apps? i haven't made any transactions yet...?

That is so dumb...Apple is the best and most techinological company IN THE WORLD and they don't have the time to invent something like that? HUH? All they are worried about is making the "Worlds best Phone" and they can't take the time out to help their users or anybody that has their products. All they have is "Find mt Iphone" Well they should step up and do something else to help people like me out. Find a way to turn it on and you can find it or find a way to turn it on remotely.

they need to sign into us store and redeem card. they cant change country if balance is not $ 0. no music will be lost off ipod

It should be easy. I don't want a lot of small entries on my checking account from iTunes. I want to buy a gift card for MYSELF, redeem it and have my iTunes account debited as I make purchases. So I bought a gift card and sent it to myself. A half hour later it's not emailed yet. Apple is really making it difficult for me to do business with them. Put the link in big flashing font on the iTunes Store homepage: CREDIT YOUR iTUNES ACCOUNT.

I got a $25 itunes gift card and tried to redeem it on my regular itunes apple ID account and I had a message saying the code was invalid so I made a new account and redeemed it on that account but it doesnt have a valid email address and I cant even remember what it was how do I get the credit from wherever it is onto my regular itunes apple ID account?

Qauzzy, The credit was applied to the account you used at the time you redeemed the card. There is no way to transfer the credit to another account.
You might as well just spend the $25 on the new account, and then stop using it and go back to your regular account..

I have two 11 year olds with iPads that I have on home sharing. I bought gift cards for them (to their iCloud accounts) but they aren't showing up. How do they redeem?

HHow do the gift cards I sent to my 11 year olds on my home sharing accounts get redeemed? We can't seem to find them. They are signed into iTunes with their iCloud email address but the gift cards don't show up.

I might add that I purchased the gifts through the iTunes Store while signed into my account and sent them to their iCloud accounts. They both have their gmail accounts as backup email accounts on iTunes and haven't received an email or notification about the gift cards at all.

Were the gift cards redeemed on your account? Also, some content, such as gifting apps to others and certain in-app purchases, cannot be bought with iTunes credit so money would be deducted from your credit card.

I can log into iTunes and App Store but NOT iMessage. What gives?

I'm currently using Wifi with my 3rd gen iPad. iOS 6.0.1. I'm not home so I don't have access to my iMac (actually currently at 30k ft somewhere over Virginia :) ).
Anyway, I can log into iTunes, access the App Store, sign out of those, log back in. No prob. I used my appleID and pass to write this message. But I cannot get into Imessage, and I can't figure it out!
I get an error saying: "could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again." If I try to make a new appleID, imessage thinks and thinks...nothing happens.
This isn't a new issue, it's been like this for quite a while, since upgrading to iOS 6 months ago. How can I get into imessage on my ipad? For what it's worth, it works fine on my iPhone.
