My CS3/PS has started to change the cursor into a line of three VERY small icons when dragged over a picture or menu. Thus it is VERY difficult for instance to drag a layer in the layer list to the wastebasket - the cursor simply is too big for the waistebasket icon. Even all other exact work is impossible. Of course I have checked all the cursor presets but nothing seems to help. My OS is Windows7.
Have you tried resetting Preferences?
A logical next step would be to reset your Preferences.
To reset Preferences:
If Photoshop is already open on your screen, close it (Quit). Then hold down Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Win) / Shift+Command+Option (Mac) on your keyboard and start Photoshop.
A dialog box will pop up asking if you want to delete the existing Preferences file (the "Settings"). Click Yes in the dialog box. The existing Preferences file will be scrapped and a new one will be created. -

I'm scared i have a virus. safari keeps opening windows/tabs without my permission. these are normally ads. i have removed website data various times which hasn't worked.
There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed one or more of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it. It's been reported that some variants of the "VSearch" malware block access to the page. If that happens, start in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime, then try again.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. It may have come from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You will indeed need another email address, but you just then set up the account as you did your current one. You can use your daughter's gift card to set up the account. I'd suggest you give each child his/her own user account in Windows, if you haven't already. That will give them each their own iTunes library and keep each child's purchases completely separate.
As to the existing content, once you've set up the user account for your daughter, just copy the content you want your daughter to have from your current iTunes library to a shared location (either on the computer or on removable storage such as a USB flash drive or an external hard drive), log into your daughter's user account, launch iTunes, and drag the content into the iTunes window. Then just authorize that copy of iTunes to that iTunes Store account (Store menu -> Authorize) and she'll be able to continue to play and sync that content. Log her into her own iTunes Store account for future purchases.

every time I try to open fire fox I get firefox is not resonding and I can't get it to load anything. I then close the screen out and try to open it again. most of the time it take ab out 5 to 6 times to load. today it won't load at all
If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the disk image (dmg) file to the desktop

Very difficult question.........
This is a question that has not been able to be solved yet by about a dozen professionals I have ran into over the weeks trying to figure it out.
I have a logo that is over a white background that is letter boxed.
I am trying to fill the top & bottom black areas with white color to make the whole background white.
I have tried numerous amounts of composite combinations and all provide great results, but there is a major issue during transitions.
**During a transition, you can slightly and quickly (depending on the lengthy of transition) see lines from the letterbox. This is very difficult for me to explain but you can slightly see an outline of the top edge and the bottom edge of the box where the letter boxing begins. But once the transition is over, both whites mix together and you have a whole solid color.
Does anyone know what the heck I'm talking about?I'm not sure of the best way to describe it but what you're describing makes perfect sense. The two sources that you have layered are not identical, so as you dissolve and the layers become less opaque you start to see the differences.
Two easy fixes and Brian already gave you one.
The other thing you can do is export the composite you have created and then reimport the new file. Once it has been combined in his way you won't have that problem.
PS... I'd be suspect of those "Pro" qualifications if they couldn't figure that one out.
