HT1495 Already have 2 accounts on my non apple computer how do I share music between the two?
My friend and I both have iTune accounts but want to share the music WE bought off of iTunes. What's the easiest way to do this on a PC?
To give other users read-only access to your iTunes library, use the Sharing features of iTunes. Sharing works over the local network as well as on the same computer. See the built-in help for details.
If you want to give full read/write access to more than one user, see the support article linked below.

There is a way to share the library without moving it to a secondary volume. If you really need to do that, ask for instructions.

I have two IPhones and one IPad all with the same Apple ID. I can call facetime between the two IPhones, but I cannot call the IPAD from either of the IPhones and when I call my IPhone from the IPad it rings my wife's IPhone after briefly calling mine.
Each device needs a separate address. Use an email address (gmail.com) on the iPad.

I have windows. One computer but multi users. Home sharing is on. 2 apple accounts-1 per user. 4 devices-2 iphones and 2 ipods per user. How can we share music on one computer between 2 users?
Hi Justinece, I've solved the problem in this way:
In my wife user profile I've set in itunes settings/advanced the path to my music library: /Users/"MY NAME"/Music/iTunes/Itunes media.
Than, from my wife profile using my administrator user and password I've set the "read/write" privileges on the above mentioned folder.
Finally I've added the folder in my wife's library taking care to not duplicate it ( leave blank the flag in itunes setting/advanced).
I really don't understand what's the use of home sharing... -
How do I share music between user accounts on the same computer?
My wife and I have separate user accounts on the same MacBook Pro so that we can both sync our phones to this computer. My account is the primary user account, and my iTunes library is stored in this account. My wife would like to put music on her iPhone so she can run, but I can't seem to access the music library thru her account. I know the files are all on the hard drive regardless, so I just need to know how I can make iTunes on my wife's account access the library that's there. I've tried the steps I could find on Apple's website, but I can't seem to make it work. I'm running the latest versions of everything - even tho the post says I'm running 10.9.1, I'm actually running 10.9.4

Hello Apple Community,
Can I backup two devices (with different documents) to one iCloud account?
For example: iPad Air and iPhone 5, not everything is synced between the two, but I would like to backup each (seperately in the cloud). Is this possible?
This way when I change from an old ipad to a new, I can restore with the ipad backup, and when I change from an old iphone to a new, I can restore from the
iphone backup.
Thank you in advance!Terminology check here. Do you really mean a "CD"? There's a difference in Cloud behavior between content from a physical CD you ripped (which only has Cloud content if you have iTunes Match) and an "album" you bought from the iTunes Store.
Read references for Home Sharing.

Home Sharing Support page - http://www.apple.com/support/homesharing/
iOS: Setting up Home Sharing on your device - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4557 - "With Home Sharing in iOS 4.3 or later, you can stream your entire iTunes library over your home Wi-Fi network from your Mac or PC right to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch."
The above can get pretty complicated. You are probably best off by syncing both devices to a single library and/or updating the libraries on both computers to have the same content. -
How do I go about sharing between them?
Make sure both computers are set up to share their library on the local network.
iTune>Preferences>Sharing>Share my library on my local network.
Then, using the computer that you want to have the media on for yourself, go to the other computer's library, it should appear under Shared on the left, select everything you want to import and click "Import".
When it's done you can delete it all from the other computer, then you can just sign out of iTunes.
If you didn't do so previously, you'll want to authorize the computer that now has all the media on it with the older iTunes account.
Store>Authorize this computer. -
I am almost out of space on my mac and Ipad. Need to clear songs off, but afraid I won't be able to listen without going to my external hard drive. I have Itunes match but don't know how they are accessed from the cloud. Thoroughly confused and frustrated. Hope someone can help.
Another question is my Iphotos are taking up tons of space and I don't know if they are in cloud or best way to back up. Any thoughts? If you have iTunes Match, and your music is in your Match library, you can access it from iCloud on all your devices, provided they are signed into your iTunes Match account. Make sure you keep a backup of your music somewhere though as the match process isnt' perfect and you may find that some of your iTunes Match music isn't exactly the same as the original (see https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4112).
The best way to back up your photos is to import them to your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. If you are out of room on your Mac, get an inexpensive external drive to save your photos on. -
How do you share music between two user accounts for multimedia purposes???
I am working with iDVD and am running into a slight snafu. My girlfriend has most of the pictures in her iPhoto account, while I have most of the music in my iTunes account. (she works on maintaining our over flowing pictures, while I handle paying for all our music... works out nice. <wink>)
Anyways, we were both working on a new photo DVD for family using iDVD and were frustrated that we could not pull in music from my iTunes account to use with her pictures in iDVD. I am uncertain if we are doing anything wrong and just do not know how to do it, or if it is not possible. We also have a few pictures on my iPhoto account we wanted to add to the DVD, but cannot access those either from her account while in iDVD.
Is it possible to share this data back and forth without making two copies of all of it?
Thanks for all your help!!
- jonathanFollow the steps after the section that says "If you have an earlier version of Mac OS X", Quintalis. It explains how to do it without the Fast User Switching/iTunes Sharing which is indeed limited only to playback.
Note that when it says "publicly accessible location", it needs to be a place where everyone has read and write access. The most common such place is the Shared folder in the Users folder. -
How can I share music between two computers and two accounts?
My wife and I each have our own devices. I would like to purchase an album and have it on both accounts so we do not have to buy the same album twice just because we both like it. I have seen many articles on how to achieve this on a single computer but nothing that talks about multiple computers and multiple accounts.

By account I take it you mean computer account, not iTunes Store account. You can't currently share items between multiple store accounts though you can share it between computer accounts. Also read about changes in forthcoming iOS8. -
My home computer is where all of my music is downloaded into iTunes, however I am having major issues with that computer. I downloaded iTunes onto my laptop and have the home sharing on, for both computers. I can not get my music on the laptop and am unable to get my iPhone to show as a device on my laptop. Can the phone connect with two different computers, and if so, how do I go about doing it? Also, please advise on how to share music on two computers.
You can sync your iPod with multiple computers, but what can be synced is very limited. See this article for more details.

I have a macbook pro retina and a macbook air which I just purchased, I want to share all of the music on the retina with the air.
The simplest way is to use an external USB drive. Copy the iTunes folder to the drive while it's connected to your MBP. When done eject the drive. Connect the drive to the MBA. Navigate in the Finder to the /Home/Music/ folder on the MBA. Copy the iTunes folder from the external drive into the /Home/Music/ folder.
OS X Mountain Lion- Drag and drop.
If you have a backup of your MBP, then you can use it to restore the /Home/Music/iTunes/ folder to the MBA. -
I already have an account but I can't remember how...
Is there a page I can go to so I can pay on my account. Without opening a new account. When I try to pay a new account attempts to be formed. Any suggestions?
Why?
It's quite possible to have separate iTunes Store account and iCloud accounts.
Have you moved your existing MobileMe account to iCloud?
