HT1495 I work at a school. I have setup up Ipads for student use. I do not want them to have password because in the past, they have added emails to the account. I want them to be able to create an itune account on ipad so they can download free apps
I need student to be able to download free apps on ipad without compromising the account that I have created. In the past students added usernames and emails to the account when they forgot the password. I do not want them to have password so I need them to creat their own accounts to use besides the school account created. Can this be done on ipad?

I recommend you try to adjust to 29 and see if you can't make it work for you before you downgrade to a less secure and soon outdated version of Firefox.

Did you follow the instructions on that page exactly when you created the account ? They worked for me yesterday on my computer's iTunes when I tried them in response to another thread.
e.g. I logged out of my existing account and found a free app in the store and clicked on its free 'price'
I then clicked on 'create Apple id' on the popup :
And after agreeing to the terms and filling in my details I was able to select 'none' as the payment method. -

Why dont you create an account on your name and share the password with your daughter then she can download free apps whenever she needs!

What to do?Nothing you can do. Apps are locked to the account that purchased them and you have to log into the account to update them.

As Allan suggested, items purchased on one iTunes account cannot be moved to the other account.

When you add a gift card balance to the Apple ID, it's available for the Apple ID.
Probably best to create unique Apple ID's for each... this will also make things easier in the future as purchases are eternally tied to the Apple ID they were purchased with. -

Hi..I recently bought an IPAD and I absolutely love it. I have been Skyping w/my family during this deployment for the past two weeks until yesterday. The camera on my side just stopped working. I am able to see my family. Any help.
Try closing the Camera/Skype app:
1. Double-click the Home button to reveal the Task Bar
2. Hold down the Camera/Skype app for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close app
4. Tap area above Task Bar to return to Home screen
If the above doesn't solve the problem, do a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider -

My itunes files were deleted. I was able to use an old back up file to restore some but new downloaded purchases from iTunes for the past 5 months weren't in the back up. How do I get those back since I've paid for them one before? Can you redownload? If so, how?? Please help as I'm missing over 500 previously paid for and downloaded iTunes song purchases.
This was EXACTLY what I needed about the purchases I made from my device. However, is there a way to re-download other ones you've made from a computer? Because I realized some of them were not just purchased from my device.
