HT1495 My ipod is not the main one when first opening the library
I connected my daughters ipod touch so that I could download some tunes for her from my library onto hers. Now when I contect my ipod and make a purchase its going into her ipod library and not mine. How do I change it back to my ipod as the first library and place where new purchases go???

That is more than quicktime and iTunes. Follow all the instruction in the link for removing and reinstalling the Apple software.

If it was originally on the camera roll try this: take another unimportant photo for test purposes, copy it to any special folder you have created within Photos, connect your iPad to your computer, locate it as any other external device, and most likely that Photos folder will be the only thing that will show up, locate the photo, delete it and then sync your iPad.
If the test photo is gone from the camera roll but still in another folder within the app then you know that the system works so go ahead with the process. I understand that there are other photo apps which might let you achieve your goal much quicker.

I'd like to load my playlists into my ipod, and not the library, but how?

I recently bought an ipod and I have been filling iTunes with my CDs. Now there are more GBs in iTunes than my ipod can handle. Which is fine by me. But now I would like import the playlists I've made in iTunes to my ipod, but leave the iTunes library behind, too big anyway. Would anyone, please, direct me on how to do just this?
Another side to this problem is how can I order iTunes to begin by importing the playlists, and once that is done, to fill the rest of the ipod with stuff from the library. In short: How can I prioritize the imports from iTunes to the ipod? Thanks in advance.

Windows XPIf you cannot run the Ethernet cable from the Time Capsule to the Blu-Ray player, the next best option would be to use a pair of Ethernet power line adapters.
One adapter plugs into an AC wall socket near the Time Capsule and a short Ethernet cable connects from one of the LAN <-> ports on the Time Capsule to the adapter.
The other adapter plugs into an AC wall socket near the Blu-Ray player and a short Ethernet cable connects from the adapter to the Ethernet port on the Blu-Ray player.
The "psedo" Ethernet signal is transmitted over the AC power lines in your home. Works great as long as everything is on the same master electrical circuit.
Any computer / electronics superstore will have a selection of power line adapters to choose from. I've had good results using products from Cisco-Linksys or Netgear, but I'm sure there are other good choices as well. -
How can I move my songs from my ipod to my library? I try to simply drag and drop, but nothing happens. I also deleted the songs that I moved from my computer to the ipod. I figured that since it was in my itunes, I didn't need them saved on my computer. I didn't realize I was dragging and dropping my songs directly to my ipod until it was too late. My wife noticed what i was doing and brought it to my attention that I wasn't dropping them into my library. Please help.
So if I understand you correctly, you are wanting to copy the content/music that is currently on your iPod Shuffle to your iTunes library? If so, you'll only be able to make this happen by using some sort of third party software as iTunes does not allow you to sync from the iPod to iTunes (with the exception of iTunes purchases).

IPod is not the only one. There are better....
Freedom, freedom and better services and support. iPod is not the only one MP4 player. There are better and cheaper, there are many with better service and support. There will be many cheaper, better and with many advantages. I am very unhappy and upset because my bad experience with 60GB iPod. I suggest think about it.....

I can download from iCloud to one iPod but not the other. It says downloaded but doesn't show up in music...
I'm not sure what you mean by the "music library" - are you looking in the Music app? Or the iTunes app (which is not the one to be looking in)?

My Ipod does not show in Itunes, when I connect it shows for a second a disappears again, I have gone through the trouble shooting but no luck?
:-) the problem is solved. Thanks to a great typ in one of the other discussions with alt+cmd+S iTunes looks again like something I recognize. After removing the iPod from iMac and also from the connecting "holder", turning it on ad off, rebooting the iMac, maggic happens and the iPod now shows in iTunes and everything works just fine.

My ipod touch has a permanent image of the end of a USB cable with an arrow pointing to an icon of ITunes. I can't reset using the two button method, and ipod does not appear on itunes when I plug it into the computer - and nothing else happens either. This happened after I agreed to a software update which failed. How can I get it going again?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Ive read through the board and can't find an answer to this. My classic recently has been working fine OTHER than the backlight not working. Its NOT the brightness option in the menu, its on full. The light will come on if I reboot ipod with center/menu buttons, but will soon be back to not working shortly. I've also tried restoring and while it seemed like it might work, a little while later its back to not working. IDEAS???
thanksSounds like the backlight is burning out, which does happen with most iPods overtime. It's a hardware issue, meaning you'll need to have the iPod serviced/replaced either by Apple or a third party repair company.

My iPod is not showing any of my music in its library. I can only listen to and see my music when the iPod is plugged into the computer. Even when its plugged in my Ipod says there is no music in the library but iTunes says its all on there. Any suggestions on what the problem may be?

I stored all songs on ipod...updated my OS. I completely wiped out the old microsoft windows and installed windows XP. (I know, bout time.) Besides that I have read that I cannot restore music from my ipod as it is only one way.

If the songs are in your iPods library there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. This is just a selection, you'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well. My Ipad mini is not turning off with the botton neither with the cover. It is not also turning on when I open the cover. Please, what I have to do?
If the cover you bought is not a legitimate apple cover than you may be having the same issue I had.
The one I purchased has a top cover swivel, if you spin it around( meaning the top case cover)
The magnet will return to the correct spot and it will work again. It is only located at one end of the case.

Hard Reset.
- Hold down the Home Button (Circle button with White Square in it) and the Sleep/Wake button
- Wait for the 'Slide to Unlock' screen pops up
