HT1498 I rented a .99 cent movie special of the week and iTunes billed me 4.99. Why?

The newest operating system on the iPhone has successfully confused Iphone users access to iTunes for communication and account issues. That is a new flaw to repair. I rented a movie. "The house I live in" that was advertised as the .99 movie of the week and iTunes billed me 4.99. If I had known that they would charge me that I would not have rented the movie. I feel that iTunes misrepresented the price and I cannot find the iTunes customer service system to address this.

    Check the location setting for the iTunes Store is correct.
    You might also try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
    Restart your router.
    If you are still having problems try a restore.

    I wonder what your computing environment is. Is your account being administrated by another account? Are you working in an account subject to "Parental Controls"?

    Quit the app and restart the iPad.
    In order to quit or close apps - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
    Try the videos app again.

    But now I can't find the actual movie...I go to iTunes to purchases and view movies , to downloads and searched the title of the movie...I can see an icon of it and it is in a separate place from other purchases but it says downloaded in faded lettering. Where is it?

    I think he is experiencing the same problem I've been having. When trying to download iTunes the page finishes loading without downloading anything.

    Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.

    Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

  • TV Shows/Movies start at the end and wont play.

    When I click on a movie or TV show to watch, even if I've never seen it before, the volumn starts at the beginning of the program, but the slider and image are at the end. 10seconds and it stops all together. Move the slider to the beginning and it plays for 2 seconds, then either freezes or jumps back to the end.
    This is now happening with my entire library, watched and unwatched.
    How can I fix this??

    Sometimes all you hav eto do is tuen it off and back on again. other times you may have to reset it.

  • HT1498 Bandwidth issues anyone?  I watch Netflix all the time and never have any bandwidth issues if I rent a movie on iTunes its constantly buffering.

    Why do I have bandwidth  issues only with iTunes.?this is not the first time and its not common it's every time.  I watch Netflix on a daily basis it may buffer in middle of something once or twice a day.  From what I've read to send HD only needs around 5-8 Mbps  I have 15 at my house   I can nearly watch an iTunes movie with out it buffering about every 5 minutes.

    If you are genuinely getting sustained 15 Mbps downloads iTunes content should play immediately and not stop/startl - the fact this is happening suggests an issue with your LAN or wider internet connection (or the AppleTV).
    Netflix works differently - the image quality is rate adaptive and decreases as available speed drops, consequently I can play Netflix withing seconds whereas HD iTunes movies need to buffer for about 20 mins on my 4.5 Mbps connection.

  • No sound to random movies/tv shows on netflix and iTunes..

    This is weird. Some nextflix movies and tv shows will have no sound. Others will. Every now and then a box with text flashes on the screen for 2 seconds that says "An incompataible audio signal has been recieved. Change the output device audio settings to PCM." My Apple Tv2 is hooked up to my Sharp Aquos with HDMI, the same way it has been for the past year or so. Never had this problem before and have changed nothing. I have tried altering the settings on the Apple TV and my TV but to no avail. I have the latest update to itunes, apple tv ect.......

  • Trying to move clips in the timeline and they won't drop?

    I'm trying to unlock tracks and that doesn't seem to help, what's going on? When I try to drop them in the place where I want them, instead of the cursor becoming that down arrow with the line below it, it just stays being the regular arrow cursor but with a star to the right of it and a square line appears on the timeline where I'm trying to drop the clip but it won't drop.

    You can open your Project file in a text editor and see what links the project expects to find.
    To do this,
    1. Find your project in the iMovie/iMovie Projects/ folder. Make a copy of it, and put the copy on your desktop so you don't risk harming it in step 2. The project will have the name that you gave it, and will have the file extension RCPROJECT.
    2. Open the copy of the RCPROJECT file in a text editor. You can do this by right-clicking (or control-clicking) on the project file and selecting OPEN WITH...some text editor.
    You can open it in Text Edit, which comes standard on your Mac, but it may be confusing because of the hexadecimal characters. If you have access to the BBEDIT text editor, it seems to handle the hex characters better, so you can tell what is going on.
    3. Now look at the links in the project file, and see where iMovie thinks they should be. If necessary, move them back there.

  • Dynamically placing movie clip at the angle and global position of a mouse click (button) which is constantly rotating.

    Does anyone know the code for finding the global positioning of  X & Y co-ordinates of a click of a button which is constantly rotating,
    and then secondly the code for when you click on the button it  displays a movie clip on top of it -(position of x & y when clicked) at the angle that you clicked it  (so underneath the buttons are still rotating so other people can click them where they are)
    to explain the context, I'm trying to design a mock up of a circular interactive table
    when someone comes up to it and clicks on one of the buttons that are moving, it reads where the person clicked it and opens up a new box (movie clip) where they clicked it (at the angle) so its not upside down if you are at the top.
    I've included my .fla file which shows the four buttons moving and a little diagram
    explaining what I'm trying to do.

  • I have made 3 attempts to burn an IDVD Slideshow with no movie.It skips the slideshow and goes to movie then error multiplexing msg .Help

    I have tried 3 times to burn a slideshow to IDVD and get the multiplexing msg toward the end. I notice that it skips the slideshow process and goes to the movie burn. Have not movie in the slideshow. Help

    I had the same problem and solve it using  this sequence. Here you go:
    1) Delete all old iDVD projects that you couldn't burn under the same name;
    2) Reboot your PC;
    3) Quit all open applications (check if any is open at "Force Quit");
    4) Go to: Users/Library/Caches and delete folder com.apple.idvd
    5) Go to: Users/Library/Preference and delete file com.apple.idvd.lists
    6) Insert a blank DVD;
    7) Go to "Applications" and open iDVD (don't open it from any previous iDVD project);
    8) Select " Create new project" and prepare your project;
    9) Go to iDVD Preferences / Advance / Burning Speed: and select 4x ;
    10) Go to menu "Advance" and deselect "Encode in Background";
    11)  At the same above menu, click "Delete encoded projects" and select OK (ignore alert messages);
    12) Select "Burn" and... no more problems!

  • I have a number of movies stuck in the downloads of iTunes how do I delete these as it is stopping me from downloading anything.

    I can't delete two movie downloads that seem to be stuck in iTunes. It is holding everything up.  The downloads are previous purchases but they are not moving. Any ideas how to clear them please?
