hello, i have rented several movies on my apple tv and am trying to play them except they have completely disappeared. I have gotten a receipt for the rental purchase but cannot find them anywhere. where could they have gone? please help, thank you

Unwatched Rental gone after update.

Anyone else have this happen before? Brand new AppleTV. This was my first rental download. Did not watch immediately, but came back three days later and AppleTv presented me with an update available. I choose the update and when the device rebooted my rental is gone. I reported a problem via iTunes under the purchase history. Never heard back from support and that was five days ago.

Yes, my rentals have been disappearing. I have been getting refunds from Apple tech Support. But no solution.
This is what happens for me: I have a slow broadband connection, and seeing the progress bar (cacheing) was going to take a couple of hours, I switched off the TV, leaving the Apple TV2 to do its thing and came back much later but the movie did not appear on the shelf. It was listed with all the other offerings as before - for Rent $4.99. The problem repeats. Signed in, nothing under "Check for Rentals". One time a movie re-appeared after a few days saying "26 Days remaining" but had disappeared again when I went to watch it later.

Is Hot Tub Time Machine gone for rental? I can not find it I was going to rent it just now. It says not available for U.S store and I live in USA

The hangover is not there either. You know I find it so crazy that I was willing to pay the movie companies and indrusties money and then they just backed out. I looked in the Canada store and both movies were there for even more then here 5.99$ but it's there at least I have no idea what is going on. Oh well I will just wait for Netflix.

Movie rental gone in itunes when quit out of itunes?

I rented a movie from itunes and literally 5 minutes into the movie, my computer froze so I turned it off. When I turned my computer back on, the movie rental was gone and I tried checking for available downloads and that didn't work. Also, I tried to re-rent the movie but it told me I already rented it. Help me get the movie back!

I rented a movie of which a third of it is in French... (The Da Vinci Code)...
And there's no option for English subtitles in the list of languages and "auto" did nothing and no default sub titles in English during the French conversations.

that is not an appletv issue, but rather an itunes store issue.

no-one here will know what might be added to the itunes store. this is just a user-to-user support forum.
Are there, in fact, any French language movies available in ITunes? And so, how do I find them.
each regional itunes store is different, so it would be impossible for anyone to give an accurate answer unless they were also in the same region as you (and even then they would only have the same access to the store as you do).

Movie rental gone wrong

I rented a movie and after it finishes downloading i try to watch it and it says there is an error with the itunes store and to try again later then it begins downloading the same movie over and over again and i deleted it and i rented it again and it happened again.What's wrong?

I recently downloaded "Inequalirt For All," a movie by Robert Reich. I loaded $20 onto my iTunes account and there was a special where I could rent the movie for $0.99. I rented the movie but have not been able to download and play it. The error message says that there was a problem with my download even though it charged my account. I have gone through the troubleshooting steps and have reset my computer. The rental does not show up on my iPad or iPhone either. I would like to watch this movie! Please help! Thank you!

Click Report a Problem under the app that is having the issue.

I am having problems renting a movie from the apple TV. The download only goes to 46%. I have tried changing the resolution to 720, I have gone to the settings and check for rentals it advises that there is no additional rentals found.
Any suggestions.

You have to go to SMTP settings for your email account and enter a password there. Sended and receiving are two different activities managed by 2 differet servers, and each may require a separate user ID and password.

Rental movie gone | USB/WLAN conflict?

Hi there,
I recently bought some rental movies via the iTunes store, downloading them to into my MacBook's iTunes.
Then I transferred these movies to my iPad, using the USB-iPad-sync. This worked all fine.
Some very few days later, I configured my iPad to be synced via WLAN, and did so. After WLAN syncing, the movies were gone without any trace.
I bought them again (and was charged again), and transferred them to the iPad once again. All seemed to be fine.
When I synced the iPad via cable again now, the movies were gone again.
Obviously there seem to be some conflict trouble when syncing the iPad sometimes via WLAN, sometimes via USB, which causes rental movies to vanish into nothing. This would only be a minor problem, if you could just simply download them again (expecting the iTunes store of course automatically to know that you bought them just recently and hadn't yet started watching them). But instead, you are being carged once more for each try.
Any idea how to handle this?

I sent said router back to amazon for a refund and got a Medion router modem which works fine instead.

Two Windows scripts to make playlists of Duplicates and Exact Duplicates. Use shift-delete to remove selected tracks from the library as well as the playlist.
There is also my DeDuper script if you don't want to do it by hand. Please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping.

Movie rental section has gone on my ATV (2nd Gen)

The Movie rental section on my ATV 2 have gone so I cant rent movies. I'm not sure whats wrong, I'm not sure if the store on the ATV is down or im doing something wrong.. Any idea's??

Nervermind.. Store is Back

I recently rented some movies, mostly downloaded, started watching, and then itunes crashed, and both the rentals are gone!

so i rented two movies, one was 90% done, i sttarted watching and itunes crashed 30 minutes in, i opend back up and that rental was gone, i went back to watch another one, got 30 minues in, and then that one crashed, and same scenario! Please help me get hem back!

Movie gone from rental list after 4.4 update

I just updated my Apple TV to 4.4 and now The Adjustment Bureau is gone from my list of rentals. It doesn't even show up when I search in iTunes. I know I had at least another 20 days to watch it.
What happened? Is it really gone from the iTunes/Apple list?

The update caused your Apple TV to reset (hopefully it's a one off). Redownload the movie, I'm not sure whether you will need to pay for it again (even if it says so at that point). Keep watching Your Purchase History and if you do get charged, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button.

The first thing to check would be your internet download speed, you can do this at www.speedtest.net.
1080p HD movies require a recommended speed of 8 Mbps, 720p HD movies require a recommended speed of 6 Mbps, while SD movies require a recommended speed of 2.5 Mbps.

I went to check for rentals on Apple TV to find rental. There is no support and no resolve. The screen just kept loading, never showing the movie after I purchased it. This is the second time this has happened to me. Very disappointed.
