HT1515 Can you set allowable access times on the Airport Express?
Does the Airport Express allow you to set what times of the day it can be used to access the Internet?
At the same time as saying it is global it is also set to specific MAC addresses so it should not actually matter if the setting is global if you want to restrict a particular client. It just cannot apply to all guests wireless.

Can you print from an iPad through the airport express
can you print from an iPad 2 through the airport express
You can, if your printer is AirPrint compatible.
Check this Apple support document to see if your printer appears:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4356
If your printer is not compatible, you might still be able to print by adding an App like Print Central to the iPad.

When our iPad is in use on the internet, my iMac internet connection goes off. I can't get the two devices to work at the same time with the AirPort Express. Is there a setting somewhere I may have missed?
When two or more devices conflict it typically means that the DHCP service is either misconfigured or is not running at all. DHCP provides IP addresses to local network clients.
Is your AirPort Express base station the only router in your current network configuration? That is, is it connected directly to an Internet modem and not to another router upstream of it? -
I have tryed to connect an AirPort Express to my wireless network. But I alwais get the errocode -4. Can anybody help. I have reset the AirPort Express and updated the software.
The ZyXEL P-2601HN-F1, as you know, is a combination DSL modem & 802.11n wireless router (or gateway device).
For your goal you will want to take a look at this Apple Support article for details on how to configure an AX for iTunes.
If you are still having difficulties with the AX joining the ZyXEL's wireless network, you can try the following:
Temporarily disable wireless encryption.
If you are hidding the SSID, disable that feature.
Change the Mode Select setting to: 802.11g Only
Change the Channel Selection from "Auto" to a set channel, like 1, 6, or 11 -
Where can I purchase a replacement CD for the Airport Express Base station A1264?
Where can I purchase a replacement CD for the Airport Express Base station A1264?
I'd like to sell my Airport Base Station, but I believe I need a CD with the software on it for the new owner. Anyone know where I can find one?
Thanks!
MeredithI doubt it is available.. and since a new Mac doesn't even have an optical drive.. there is no need whatsoever today for the cd.. it is all available in the OS or download. In fact the stuff on the cd will now be totally out of date.

Can I connect multiple Mac's using the Airport Express?
As subject. I have got an Intel iMac and a MacBook. Can I connect them using the Airport Express? Or in another word, to create a network among them that I can see the other Mac on one Mac?
Sorry, if I raised a silly question. But really like to know.
Many thanks in advance.

My BT homehub is blocking the extension of my wireless network via the airport express, so I don't get a greenlight. The guy in the store said to put the wireless number direct into the browser and it would then give me directions as to how to unlock the BT network. But when I do that nothing happens, so I still have no idea how to unlock and extend the wireless network. Any ideas?
If you are trying to extend the wireless network provided by the BT Home Hub with the AirPort Express, this won't work as the two are not WDS compatible.

Can't set date and time automatically thru Airport Extreme
We have an Airport Extreme that serves as the router for our home network. No computer using the Airport (wirelessly or via ethernet) can set it's date and time automatically. If I bypass the Airport and hook a computer directly to the ISP's modem via ethernet, date and time works fine. The Airport is up to date (v7.4.2) This has been a problem for quite a while now and it doesn't matter what OS is used (current is 10.6). I don't have any firewalls set up that I know of.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
dhf+No computer using the Airport (wirelessly or via ethernet) can set it's date and time automatically.+
It's done with AirPort Utility, not your computer.
Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click Manual Setup
Then click the Base Station tab below the icons
There is a check box +Set Time Automatically+ and choose a region and Time Zone
Click Update to save your changes -
Can you connect an ethernet cable to an Airport Express Extension?
I have an Airport Express that I am using as an extension to my current home wireless network.
That is successful and I have a green light. I am trying to plug in an ethernet cable to allow an older mac without an airport card to connect to that Airport Express Extension. When I turn off the airport and select Ethernet Cable, I am told that the cable is not connected to the internet. The wireless works fine and I can get full bars in the far part of my house - but I do not get internet when connecting an Ethernet cable.
Help!
Thanks in advanceSee my reply to your other post.

Can you help with D-link and two airport express stations
I currently run a Dlink 604 wireless and 1 Airport express for iTunes in my front room.
A Express is also linked to the Dlink via a cable.
All works fine - G4 dual running OS x 10.3.9
I would like help with a couple of things please:-
1. I have no current security on my Express, so anybody can use the net connection through it. How do I change this and still be able to use my tower and laptop?
2. I have a second Express from work that I would like to use upstairs. It does work but requires me to swap the network to use it for iTunes and then I have no internet.
It was formatted at work so has different ip numbers etc.
Can I make this station join my exisitng network?
As my lap top is wireless will I be able to surf through it upstairs?
Thanks
JohnO1. You need to open the Express's configuration in Airport Admin Utility and change the Wireless Security settings to WEP or, preferably, WPA or WPA2. When you attempt to connect to the network from your computers, you will be prompted for the password.
2. The easiest thing to do is to hard reset the second Express and then use the Airport Setup Assistant to configure the second Express to join and extend the first Express's network. To do a hard reset, hold down the reset button until the LED starts flashing rapidly.
BTW, I know it can work because I have the exact same setup (D-Link DI-604 and two Expresses in an extended wireless network). -
How do you set up a password on your airport express
need help setting up a password for my airport express
You do that with the AirPort Utility.
If you've already set up your AE then you've used this app.
It's in the Utilities folder inside your Applications folder.

Any thoughts?
AirPort base station not seen or "An unexpected error occurred" appears in AirPort Utility 6.3:
This can happen if IPv6 has been disabled. To enable IPv6 for your network interface:
Choose Apple menu () > System Preferences, and then click Network.
If a lock icon appears in the lower-left corner, click it and enter your admin name and password to unlock the pane.
Click your network service (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) in the list, and then click Advanced.
Click the TCP/IP tab.
Choose Link-local only from the Configure IPv6 pop-up menu.
Click OK.
Click Apply.
The AirPort device should now appear in AirPort Utility. -

Can you set fields as requied at the row level in a table?
I have a table that is used to add data (rows). Can certain fields be set to required base on other values in that row?
It is not clear from the developers guide exactly how to accomplish this. When I follow the example given all rows are still impacted by a change. This is probably because the PVO has only one record in it and not a record for each row. Is that correct?
