I opened my notes app(icon) and see that it is empty. I did not delete them, how can I get them back? They are very important

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

My notes are gone how can I retrieve them?

For some reason a very important note is missing...I certainly don't remember deleting it! How can I retrieve it and how can I prevent this from happening again?

You can restore from your iTune or iCloud Backup if you have one.

Programm crashed, had to reinstall and now my notes are gone. Can I recover them?

I was reading an eBook form my research library which wille xpire in 3 days. I highlited some text and I made some notes. All of a sudden the program crashed when I tried to copy the name of a book in a footnote. I couldn't find the programme nor would the file open anymore. When trying to open the file it would send me to the Adobe website. So I downloaded the installer again and when trying to install I got a message that the previous version needed to be fixed. Adobe Digital Editions was fixed, I could open the book but my notes are gone.
Does this happen often? Is there a way to recover the notes?
System: Windows 8.
To be honest i am weary of using your software at all again. I think I will read it online form my library and copy every higlight immediately. It is nice that I can access books immediately but if this thing is going to crash whenever I prefer to wait one or two days to get the physical book.

If the notes are saved before the crash, it will be in C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\My Digital Editions\Annotations\<BOOKNAME>.epub.annot

Are your contacts still on your computer? If yes, set one contact up on the phone and sync it, you'll get the option to merge data.
If there are no more contacts on the computer, see if your latest backup still has the info, if you did not sync after you lose the info, they are still part of the backup.

I wish I could have told my sister about this as she could not open my homepage back before my new iWeb site. She now can open my site without the yet in case denial window does appear = I thank you.
I think my iWeb site works as Noone has said otherwise from any platform etc...

I do agree that should not have to be a consideration for any users so i agree that it would be great if Apple could allow simplicity to run seemlessly.
I have had this problem since Homepage, and here is
what has worked for me. I send out the link, and
then for PC users I send the link with "<" after the address (without quotation
marks. e.g., <http://site.com>).
I also put a note that if that doesn't work, to just
copy and paste the link into a browser. With that I
have only had 1 person say they still can't open.
Everyone else gets it to work.
It's a lot to do and seems like a hassle, but you get
used to it.

Which photos? If the missing photos were synced to the iPod then you have to get them from where you got them the first time. Synced photos are not in the backup that iTunes makes.

You can get iTunes purchases back by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
For other items you need to get them from whee yuo got them the first time.
The iPod backup that iTunes makes does not include synced mediai like apps and music. If those ore not in the iTunes library on the computer on which you performed the update they are lost.

Which trash is empty? If it's the iPhoto trash, check the System Trash, as files deleted from iPhoto 11 go there. Assuming that's also empty then you have exactly two options:
1. Restore from your back up
or
2. Use a file recovery app such as File Salvage - you can download a free trial and it will scan the disk for you and tell you with might be recoverable. Actual recovery will require that you purchase the app. There may be many files with the same or similar names. Always recover the largest file size.
There are other such apps. Search on Macupdate or the App Store

Only way to get it back is to restore your phone from a backup, if those pics were included in that backup.
But most likely those pics are gone.
What you should've done was import http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 the pics to your computer and after you restored from your old backup, you could sync those new pics to your phone via itunes.

No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Offand, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"
If these do not solve the problem you can restore from a current iTunes or iCloud backup.
