can i use the digital copy i got in a bluray disk to watch a movie on my appletv.
when i redeem the code in the itunes store it appears that i can only view this on iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch.

Yes, you can view it on any device you own, unless there's a very unusual restriction I've never encountered. I have a number of digital copies and all appear and are playable on my Apple TV without problems.

Forgive what may be a dumb question in my part, but you have confirmed that the digital copy is for iTunes, not Ultraviolet as some DVDs use instead, and that you're clicking the correct link if there's a choice? Just want to make sure.
If you're sure it's for iTunes, what movie is it? Just about all digital copy offers have an expiration date, though the movie studios usually won't tell you about that up front, so if the movie is on that was released more than a year or so ago, it's possible that the offer for the movie you have has expired.

Can't get past the iTunes install page to redeem a digital copy of a movie.

Trying to download digital copy of The Hunger Games. I click the iTunes button for the download. It doesn't ask for my redeem code, but tells me I must install iTunes. iTunes is already installed on this laptop. I tried reinstalling, but still end up on the iTunes installer page. How do I move past this page?

Hi, my mac mini has no optical drive. How am I supposed to retrieve my digital copy of the movie "gamer?" from the itunes store. Its telling me I have to insert my DVD. Well its not physically possible. This is the stupidest error I've ever encountered in 20 years of being an apple user.

I have a computer. It is called a Mac Mini. I don't own any others. I will not buy a Superdrive either because I have no use for it. I contacted Apple iTunes Store support and so far they did not help me. Digital downloads from Best Buy have turned out to be fradulent. They owe me a copy and they should authorize it. My code is valid too. I have the discs right here. I will go nuts if they don't help me and so far they have not.

Why is it when I purchase the 3D Bluray, Bluray, and Digital Copy of a movie, when I redeem my movie through the UltraViolet method it is in HD format, however, when I redeem it through iTunes, I only receive an SD version of the movie? I think it's pretty unreasonable that if I'm purchasing a Bluray editition of a movie that I'm only receiving a SD version in iTunes and everyone else recognizing the fact that I spent the extra money so they give me the version in HD. I selected the option in iTunes that says download HD when available and HD movies I've purchased directly through iTunes are downloaded in HD. As for the extras; The most important one was the commentary. I found the commentary video file from (Windows 7)/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Movies/Star Trek Into Darkness - iTunes Extras/Star Trek Into Darkness - iTunes Ext.ite/videos/enhanced_commentary.
I then dragged this commentary file to the iTunes/Library/Movies window. Then a blank icon for that appeared in iTunes.
And I was able to then sync the commentary to my iPad.
So, I've got what I most wanted on my iPad. It's just too bad that the Star Trek Into Darkness extras and the movie do not work properly in iTunes on my Windows PC.

you can import that file in itunes, verify it plays, then attempt to sync to ipad with itunes. I have had limited success, cause some of the versions will not transfer.

iTunes and Apple's devices work as an ecosystem. iTunes is designed to sync with Apple's products, not anyone else's. You'll need your songs in a format compatable with the Samsung phone and to use the software transfer program supplied/recommended. It is essentially not an Apple/iTunes problem. You may have better luck finding the information you need on Samsung's forums.

Hi, is anyone aware of a website that contains a list of available Blurays that come with an iTunes digital copy rather than UV. UV is such a nightmare and I would prefer all my digital copies to be in 1 place; iTunes cloud!

As long as the film has been fully downloaded (or synced) to the iPad's Videos app then you should be able to watch it whilst offline.
