could you try to explain more about what issue it is you are having
did you change the input source on your tv so it show other things then the appletv such an dvd or sat box?
did you turn off the appletv with the apple remote and don't know how to turn it on again?
when you say appletv do you mean some special part of the appletv software which you have no longer access to but "other stuff" being other parts of the appletvs functionality is still avaible?

Hi, I quitted Safari and press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons silmutaneously unti the Ipad turn off and on with the logo Apple appears but it has hanged on and fixed to the point. I do it again hold the Home and Sleep buttons silmutaneously and the Ipad turn off and on again with the Apple logo but it still is hanged on the same point. I have do it a few more time, it still hanged to the same point for few hours with no change (like picture):
I think my Ipad is fault now. I guess I must connect it to the computer with itune, or something. So my case is this: at the moment everytime I hold the Home and Sleep buttons the Ipad always off and reappear with the Apple logo and be hanged on (like the pic), and I need restoring my Ipad Safari bookmarks... so I guess I need using Itune or something to get back the Ipad then using Icloud or blah. If you are referring to an iDevice, sign out of your new Apple ID and sign back in with your old one - they should all be there.

Help to get back Apple ID

My gf icloud was hacked. The hacker changed the password and my information of my iCloud but i still have the email address which is the iCloud username. is there anything i can do. please help.
My gf is using an Iphone 5. She was charging her phone and the notification pop up and said that the user of this phone was using find my iphone to erase this phone.
This was happen few days ago. On the iphone screen there is a pop up notification tell her to sign in her icloud. She did type in once but it say incorrect and for the next few time, she just ignored it. She told me about that and i told her to ignore it, don't type in anything.
And yesterday, on november 24, there is a pop up notification on the screen said that "your iphone and your facebook is hacked".
So i just told her to change her facebook password
Today, november 25, 2014, she was charging her phone and the notification pop up and said that the user of this phone was using find my iphone to erase this phone.
I tried to log in my icloud account but it was hopeless. Then i check here email, it said that someone had changed her information

But we did not do this.
Now i still can access to my email which is my icloud ID.
Is there anything that i could do to get back my account. Otherwise my iphone is gone which was my gift for her birthday . please help

Try contacting Apple’s Account Security team. If you or she is the iPhone’s original owner, another option is to take it and its purchase receipt to a physical Apple Store.

I agree completely; email applications on the Mac lag (and I agree with the OP's frustration with responses as well).
I also have settled on Mail with Mail ActOn and MailTags; this functionality should be incorporated into the OS. I actually like using Outlook in Win 7 better; it's super easy to connect files, contacts, email and other stuff right from one application. And Win 7 has better preview and tagging built in, better than QuickLook. On the server side we desparately need gmail to use tags, but I don't see that happening. I still prefer the labeling scheme it has over Apple's mail, however. But I also find that it confuses many users (labels vs folders).
There are also other applications that integrate email functionality, like SOHO Organizer, or Contactizer. Good, but not the email holy grail.
I'd like to see communications built into the Finder or system, which badly needs an overhaul. It hasn't changed much since the 90's and shows it. Communication, whether it be email, tweets, social media posts, sharing, etc, is such an integral function of all work you do on a computer it should be better, um, integrated into all applications. You should be able to send data from any application to others in a variety of formats without having to go into an email application. Sure, you can now do this to a certain extent with either built-in menu items or services, but it's clunky. For example, when you write something you can either "save" and write to disk somewhere, or "export" in a different format, or maybe "email." All of those choices should at least be part of one dialog; it's just as likely you want to email, post, share or tweet what you just wrote, so just having a "save" dialog is way outmoded.
So, yeah, somebody get on this.

Tried some things Safari 4 crashes on certain sites...help new mac user

I have a brand new imac, 1 month old. Only thing I installed on it was Firefox but didn't really like it so I'm using Safari 4. However, on certain sites it was randomly crash. I would reopen Safari and it would work like nothing happened until another random site. This happens once every day or so. I removed the "Java Cocoa" plugin and the "assistance" box is unchecked in Preferences. What plug-ins do I really need for Safari and what happens if I remove them all? Can you help me out? Thanks.

I have an account with That Free Thing and Alert Pay. It's linked to my AOL email. I have just been informed that I should change to Firefox. How do I go about transferring everything? If I already have Gmail connected to Firefox and eventually will disconnect that account, is there a way to connect now? Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs. 
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.

Some purchased content on Apple TV will not sync back to iTunes

I have purchased a series on my AppleTV which downloads every week, as expected. I manually sync the AppleTV with my iTunes library located on my iMac. Upon using "transfer purchases" from iTunes, only three of the six downloaded show episodes actually transfer over. Subsequent attempts result in nothing being transferred.
To further troubleshoot, I unlinked the iTunes library from the Apple TV, using the Apple TV UI. Everything EXCEPT the three episodes that would not transfer over, and a couple of rented movies, was removed from the Apple TV. I then re-connected to my usual iTunes library, attempted to transfer purchases, but with no luck.
Any ideas?

I have the same issue where I can make purchase via itunes and it syncs with ATV. However the reverse from ATV to itunes does not. I saw an earlier post in the year to deauthorize the account on itunes that fixed the problem- tried that on itunes and then selected the transfer from ATV to itunes on the file menu and was unsuccessful. All software is current using itunes 8.02.2
It was working previously so I am not sure if an ATV software upgrade caused this or not.

I droped my ipod touch on the floor and got a little tiny scratch (well not that little) and know it is hard for me to press some letters on the touch screen and sometimes anything what can i do?

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy" if the default "Use the system proxy settings" setting doesn't work.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.

*Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
Make sure that you do not block third-party images, the permissions.default.images pref should be 1.

Hey I want to know what resolution a personas 3000x 200x is because I am trying to make one, but the middle part of the picure is movin to the left so some thing is wrong with resolution and interpolation. PS, I use Gimp.

I use Debian and Gimp program to make my own personas but it seem like I have to know what resolution or interpolation is needed for the best result. I am trying to make one in size of 3000px wide x 200px high but don't know what resolution and interpolation is matching the requirements of Firefox or personas. For ex: in Gimp when scaling an image the interpolation possibilities are 4 like:

Linear
Cubic
Sync
