HT1567 really stuck all working apart from no audio CD found so no connection from Ipod touch to Itunes found???

Hi All, we are having a nightmare trying to get audio from the Ipod touch to a new computer, it registers everything when doing test with the following info optical drive detected no audio cd found. so we can upload photos but not music, anyone know how to overcome this in simple terms please?

when i connect my ipod to itunes it starts a sync and then a backup. then at step 5 of 5 of the backup itunes starts to download all of my old apps to my ipod and then i have to cancel the sync and then on my ipod all of my old apps are grayed out and i cant even delete them. this happens every time i plug my ipod in. how do i turn this automatic download setting off?

Was any error message given? They usually are.
Try resetting the iPod:

TS4062 stuck on step 4 of 7 every time i try to sync my ipod touch to itunes. then the program seems to freeze? im stuck

Can you check the health of your iPod Hardisk, by doing the iPod Disk Diagnostics as posted earlier by tt2, it wont fix your problem, but helps in troubleshooting.

Take it to Apple and ask them to fix the physical damage the water caused.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Was your wife logged into the libray at the time you tried to log in? I have had a similar problem and it was because another user was logged into the library when I attempted to. I got the permission denied banner.

As it should have been transferred to your computer when you synced, you can contact itunes support and ask for an exception.

Hello, I am new here, and I have a very big problem.
About a month ago, my stupid computer have died on me; so I have to take it to the Geek Square to let them look at my computer, it turned out, I have to replace a new hard drive. Now, my computer is back and I download the new iTune; however, I don't know how to transfer all the files on my iPod Touch to iTune, can someone help me?

I do have some music back up, but I only have one video(because I couldn't get the others), and I also have some music that I bought directly from the ipod touch's iTune, not on the computer, so that is why I am asking the question.

I was going to put iOS 5 onto my iPod touch, but iTunes mentioned that I could lose all my data. Over half of the songs I have on my iPod are not on my computer, as I lost a large amount of it when my other hard drive died a while ago. They were not iTunes purchases, so I can't automatically put them back into iTunes.
I found this tutorial: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1329 on the Apple support for putting music into iTunes from an iPod, but it specifies that it doesn't work with the iPod touch. Has anyone found a solution to this? All I've seen so far are $20 converting-type programs that generally have iffy reviews. It seems odd that Apple would provide a solution for this problem for everything but the iPod touch.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, as I am studying abroad in France right now, I had to leave my back up at home. I decided not to mention that, as that was extraneous information as far as the question goes, as well as the fact that I don't want to risk shipping my external hard drive, nor do I want to wait a year before upgrading to iOS5. I was merely wondering if anyone who had encountered this as well had any helpful suggestions -- i.e., free programs they used, or if there was a way of accessing the iPod touch through finder.

I am very troubled with my ipod touch because I don't see my ipod folder showing up on my computer. i have tried all possible ways to make it viewable but somehow i end up seeing only my internal storage (dcim/pictures). Its really frustrating because bought a new laptop with windows 8 and installed a new itunes but only to find out that i cant transfer my songs right away.... I can connect my ipod touch to the itunes swiftly but to transfer my songs from my ipod to my computer is such a hassle. so please if anyone could help me figure this out... All of my apps are in iTunes AND on my iPod Touch. in iTunes it the checkbox next to sync apps is UNchecked. should i check the box and have to reorganize all my apps or leave it "un-synced"?

You should ALWAYS make sure that everything is on your computer and backed up, most especially before any update. The iphone is designed to be synced to your computer regularly.
If you have failed to do this, then you need to redownload:

iTunes on tmy new computer shows none of my data and I fear if I sync my iPod with the computer all will be deleted on the iPod.
I still have everything in iTunes on the old computer.

Just move your iTunes library to you new computer. You can transfer iTunes purchases to you new computer from your iPod by:
