What do I do when I am trying to download a program I purchased and it does not download the software?

I have the serial number from Lightroom that I purchased from Best Buy. When I put it in, and activate it, it says to click on the download button. It only downloads the arvato bertelsmann logo and it does not download the software. I already installed on a lap top, this is my desktop that I am trying to install on. Adobe allows me to put lightroom on 2 computers.

Took me a shade under an hour to download on an 18Mbps connection.
Basic 768kpbs-1.5Mbps connections can take 8-9 hours (or longer).

HT201272 I have downloaded an app have been charged for it and it has not been downloaded. It was an upgrade from a previous app. I have followed the instructions above and cannot find even the original app even though it is on my phone. Any ideas?

Updating from snow leopard 10.6.8 to Mountain lion. During download when 75% done stops and says can not download check Internet settings.

Before the download I used Disk Utility to check/repair permissions, all software is up to date, and I emptied the trash.

First, you are downloading Mountain Lion, so this error is not related to your disk drive. The problem is apparently with the internet connection between the computer and your router or your modem and Apple's servers. So it's an internet connection issue.
At your end you can verify your connection is active and working. If you are using wireless then try using an Ethernet connection instead.

I would say to start by looking on their web site... unfortunately, that appears to be dead.
Based on the horrible ratings on the App Store (1 star for the current version), I'm not surprised it doesn't work well.

Just to make sure, open Mac App Store and click Purchases. Can you pause the download and restart it?

Depending on why it's been disabled you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
Or you might need to contact Apple : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
If it then works on your computer's iTunes but not your phone/iPad then try logging out of your account on the phone/iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it

From the App Store meny bar click Store > Check for Unfinished Downloads
And check your Applications folder for the app.
Apple's policy > All Sales Are Final > iTUNES STORE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Try syncing the iPhone to iTunes. If it doesn't appear, then log in to your account and check Purchased.
