HT1600 how to get air play icon on iPad
I have tried all of the recommended steps to get the air play icon on my ipad without success. It was on my ipad at one time.
Google Play Services is not supported on BB10.
The only option available is something called Lucky Patcher. It takes a few extra steps but I've been successful in getting some of these apps to work after patching the apk with Lucky patcher.

On my advice we just got Apple Tv for our clinic but none of us can get the air play icon on our iPads or iPhones to mirror to the apple tv. Shouldn't we be able to mirror our devices onto the apple tv?
Here are just a few basic troubleshooting steps. Tell me more about the iPad 2. Is it wifi only? I'm asking because both the iPad and iPhone, if set up for cellular, will connect to the Web without connecting to your network. If the iPad is cellular, start by turning off the cell capability.
Restart your wireless router.
Give it a few minutes to boot up. Then connect the iPad to your wireless router. Turn on your AppleTV, and ensure it is connecting to the exact same wireless router. Make sure both are indeed receiving data from that router.
Then go and perform the steps required for AirPlay. Let us know how you do. -

In IOS 7, the air play button lies below the bottom of the iTunes page. You need to click along the bottom for it to come up. Air play is there! Wow! I spent so much time trying to figure out what was wrong and as usual, it was me!

however what you are probably referring to is mirroring? iPad 2 and iPhone 4s have mirroring capabilities, so what you have on the screen is exactly what would appear in the apple tv..
on ipad for example...ignore the settings page. Instead, go to the iPod controls. Double-press your home button to see the multitasking bar, showing all your recent apps. Swipe your finger from right to left for the mirroring icon; you'll see the AirPlay icon. Tap on that, select your Apple TV and toggle the mirror button to 'on'. -
How can i find the air play icon because it isn't showing up
I cannot figure out how to use my air play. The air play icon is not visible when double tapping the home button. I own a MacBook Air, Iphone 4s and an iPad 3. All of my software is up to date and my wireless connection is the same.
Is the Apple TV up to daye? What software is it running currently? Have you enabled airplay?

stevie, a third party app called airparrot will give you the pretty much the same as mirroring and forks on Macs too old to mirror.

Where is the "Air Play" icon in iTunes11?
I have iTunes 11.01.12 running on my PC with Windows XP. iTunes runs properly, but the "Air Play" icon is not visible in the header next to the volume slider, as indicated in the iTunes help guide. How do I get iTunes to display the "Air Play" icon?
I was able to fix this by following the instructions here [1]. It seems like this was specific to my Asus router, so not sure if others are seeing similar issues with other branded routers.

I have a MacBookPro with OS X Lion 10.7.5 - Just purchased an Apple TV Device but can't mirror stuff in my computer to the TV. Do I need to upgrade to Mountain Lion in order to get air play or is there another way to mirror stuff to my TV?

Thanks to the $15 Beamer, AirPlay streaming is still possible on Macs that do not support Airplay and mirroring.

HT201343 Cannot get Air Play to work--tried everything :(
I have three, relatively new mac products--iphone 5s, iPad, and late 2012 macbook pro. I cannot get the airplay icon to show up on the phone or iPad. I have tried two different wi-fi networks, removed firewall on MB and router at home. Even when I am certain they are all on the same network, the Air Play icon will not show on my phone or ipad. I am trying to send my screen to my MB so I can record myself using apps. I have been trying for three days to get this to work. I have the Reflector App installed.

I tried rebooting everyhing: my router, my computer, and my phone. I "Reset network settings" on my phone. My Apple TV displays as a possible Airplay connection, but my Reflector app doesn't -- I'm lead to believe that the latest build of reflector app might be broken. No response from the developer :-(

I have iTunes on an old pc and am thinking of buying a MacBook Air. I am wondering how to get the content of my iPad on to the Mac as I know that sync only happens in one direction, from pc to device. I assume therefore that when I attach my pad to the new Mac it will sync to an empty iTunes and I will have lost all the content of my pad. I know I can restore purchases, but what about contacts, calendar, photos and music not purchased from apple. I have a fairly recent backup on a pen drive but it is a usb2 device and is formatted for a pc. Any advice would be appreciated.
Do I copy my media library or from a backup. I have a backup on my pc and on an external drive. This drive is usb2 and formatted for windows so I can't connect it to a MacBook Air to make the transfer. Equally I don't think there is a way to connect the 2 computers via a cable ie usb2 one end and usb3 the other. Will the computers talk to each other via wifi if I enable home share although I think this is only for music which still leaves contacts, mail etc.
I am sorry to be such an ignoramus but any further help would be appreciated.
