Cannot delete a itunes movie rental download from library on iPad. How can I delete this movie?

If you rented it directly on the iPad then it should have downloaded into the Videos app - if you can't find it in there then have you got a film age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding it ?

No option to delete rented movie on iPad!

I rented a movie on my MBP via iTunes and synced it to my iPad. It ended up expiring and now I see that it is on my iPad, but there is no option to delete it. From iTunes, there is no option to sync or delete rented movies any more (the whole rental section of the Movie tab is GONE when I sync my iPad.
I un-synced all my movies, but that deleted other movies i had synced, not the rental!
What is going on here? I have nearly 2 GB eaten up with a movie I can't watch or remove!

I finally called Apple Support to get the answer to this question.
1st, make sure you are signed in on your computer under the Apple ID that purchased the movie.
2nd. Go into the summary page of your device on ITunes. Near the bottom you will see "options". In that section you will see "manually manage music and videos". Select that option.
3rd. Then go to the "On this Phone" click the RENTAL sub section under your device. This depends on the version of ITunes you are using.
4th. Right click the movie you want to delete. The popup box with the delete option should appear.
5th After it deletes (which will take quite a while) remember to go back into Options and uncheck the option for"manually manage music and videos".

How to move a rented movie from IPAD to Macbook Itunes?

Hi,
I've rented a movie and downloaded it on my IPAD4. I didn't watch it yet and I prefer to move the movie to my Macbook pro Itunes.
I've connected the IPAD4 to the Macbook using the USB cable provided with the IPAD power supplier but I cannot find a way to transfer the file.
Does anybody know how to move the file from the IPAD to the Macbook/Itunes?

You can't. Movies rented on an iPad 4 can't be transferred to any other device or any computer.

go to the video player and swipe your finger across the details off the move a red box should come up and ask if you want to delete that movie... that should help

The method is exactly the same as in previous versions of iTunes:

The only difference now is that by default the iPad will appear as a button at the upper-right of iTunes:
Click that all all should then work as per the directions. You can also go to the View menu and select "Show Sidebar" and iTunes 11 will then look substantially like earlier versions.

Airplay rented movie from iPad to ATV2

Hi - I rented a movie on my iPad and then wanted to playback on my ATV2 using Airplay, however when I try to do this I just get a timer, or sometimes a frozen image of the start of the film on the TV or content Not Supported on this device. Should this work? I can play purchased content from the iPad via Airplay.

Ok, I fixed it. The router was set to use wireless mode G only. Changing it to use b of g fixed the problem. Clearly he iPad and ATV2 support 802.11g as i could stream non rented video but there must be a problem with using the g only mode for rentals. No idea why.

Cannot delete expired movie from video?

I don't get it, and i hope that Apple sees this and solves this problem. i have been doing A LOT of internet searches to find the solution to this problem and have concluded that there is none. i am trying the same things as +Hannah Barnes+ and probably everyone who has read this. the only difference is that i dont get an "are you sure you want to do this" message. Apple, please find a solution soon and i will continue to patiently wait. (but i can go crazy any second now)
the only solution that i can think of would be to get screen shots of all 96 videos and place as album artwork, but that would also make me go crazy, and it isnt worth the time and effort to get back to where i was in the first place.

There are two solutions...
a) Logout from iStore at Apple TV, Restart Apple TV, Login again
If this way won't work:
b) Restore to factory setting helps.
