HT1657 cant find my rented movie in iTunes

I downloaded multiple movies and I cant find the first movie I downloaded.. I know I should have taken note of the name

They should have downloaded into the Videos app (if they aren't in there then have you got a film age rating set in in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding them ?) :
If you can't remember their names then they should appear in the purchase history on your account (Store > View My Account on your computer's iTunes)

I downloaded a new version of iTunes, then rented a movie to watch on my laptop. Now I cant find the rented movie or how to play it. Please Help.

It should be in the Movies part of your library - if you select Movies, then is there a Rentals tab on it with that film in it ?

  • HT1657 how to find previously rented movies in itunes

How do I find previously rented movies in Itunes if I can't remember the specific name.

Settings - iTunes - check for rental
Once you press play you have 24/48hrs (depending on region) to view. Accessing other content or turning the device off will flush the movie, and it will need to reload

Can I watch rented movies from iTunes on an airplane ?

As long as the films have been fully downloaded then you should be able to watch them without an internet connection.

  • Where do i find my rented movies from itunes on my apple tv?

I can't find the movies I rented yesterday. Are you allowed to watch them more than once? I was under the assumption that you can watch as many times as you want in the 48 hours time period.

    Hello MikeK19
It all depends on where you rented the movie. If you rented the movie in iTunes and wanted to see it on your Apple TV, make sure that you have Home Sharing turned on and then you would need to navigate Computers and select your iTunes library and then navigate to your rental for playback.

  • Can't find the rented movies on iTunes

I rented 2 movies few days ago, and they do show in my purchase history, and now I can't find them. Can someone please telll me where are they located?
    Thank you,
    Micaela

Movies rented on Apple TV aren't transferable to another device. If its taking awhile to load then its an issue with your network.
What is your speed via speedtest.net
    1080p requires 8mbps
    720p needs 6mbps
You can change to SD in settings
Interference can cause issues, verify via istumbler or netstumbler
Should be using ISPs DNS (settings - network - DNS should be automatic)

  • HT1657 I cannot play my rented movie because itunes cannot locate where the original file, has anyone face this problem before? Where can I find the location of the downloaded movie?

I cannot play my rented movie because itunes cannot locate where the original file, has anyone face this problem before? Where can I find the location of the downloaded movie?

What did you use to download it with? iPad? iPhone? Computer?
If it's an iPad/iPhone, play it using the videos app.
If on the computer, look on the left side of iTunes in the library under movies.

  • HT1657 cannot find rented movie from iTunes store

I recently downloaded a rented movie, but was interupted durning its download. I reinstated the download but now I cannot find the rented movie to watch it.  Where is it?

If you rented it directly on the iPad then it should have downloaded into the Videos app - if you can't find it in there then have you got a film age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding it ?

  • Unable to find rented movies from itunes

Once I download the rented movie, I am unable to find it on my mac book pro.  The library only lists TV shows, podcasts, music.  My purchased TV shows are listed, but where do I find my rented movies?  Thanks!

Unfortunately, rental movies do not appear in Front Row. I believe this is because of the inability of Front Row to alert you (and have you click "okay") to the rental agreement requirements. It may also be because Front Row does not give iTunes feedback about when you started playing the movie and/or when you're done. If you would like to see rental movies in iTunes, as do quite a few people who post in this forum, I would suggest you send Apple some Mac OS X feedback (since there's no form specifically for Front Row):

i cant transfer a rented movie to my iphone

    Hi, JM,
Make sure you're following the procedure outlined here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1390
If you are, can you successfully download other content or apps from the iTunes Store and sync them to your iPhone? If you can and it's just the rental that won't transfer, go here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.
    Regards.

  • HT1657 do you need internet to watch a rented movie from itunes

Do you need internet to watch a rented movie from itunes?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
From my own personal experience, I have found that when I turn off the Wi-Fi on my Wi-Fi only iPad, I am still able to play rented movies on it. I have tried this perhaps four or five times and in each case, this has been the result. I have also noted that other users have had the same experience as I.
However saying that I have noted a small number of users that have stated they are unable to view rented movies without an Internet connection. This knowledge base article from Apple, also suggests that an Internet connection is required.
