If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.

    Hello, Fortovia.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here are the steps on how to adjust your Apple TV settings so that you can rent SD movies.
You can also request only SD content availability by going to Settings > iTunes Store > Video Resolution and changing the selection from 1080p or 720p to Standard Definition). Note: 1080p content is only available on Apple TV (3rd generation).

Not all content types are available in all countries, Apple can only sell content where the copyright holder has granted them a license to do so, and is some cases what a country's laws allows them to - a list of what is available where is shown on this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3599

    Hi mk112,
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you can't see the past movie and show purchases on your Apple TV, please make sure you are signed in with the Apple ID you used to purchase them.
Download past purchases - Apple Support
    Before you begin
Sign in with the Apple ID that you used for the original purchase. Use these steps to see which Apple ID you used to download an item.
See if the content is available for redownload. Previously purchased items might not be available if they're no longer on the iTunes Store. If you changed your Apple ID from one country to another, you can’t download items you purchased in a previous country.
If you're using Family Sharing, you can use these steps to download your family member's content.
Play previous purchases on Apple TV
    Movies and TV shows
On the Apple TV main menu, choose Movies > Purchased or TV Shows > Purchased.
Select the item you want to view.
    Choose Play.
    Take care,
    Nubz

  • Rented movies won't delete; how can I get rid of them?

They have been on my iPad longer than 30 days, and I can no longer access them, but they are eating up memory and I can't download anything new. Can't find the files on my computer to erase the files there. I am at a loss. How can i get rid of the movies on my iPad?

Try tapping Videos, swiping your finger across the movie and then tapping delete.
If you can't delete the movie that way, try checking Manually managing music and videos from the iPad Summary tab in iTunes, then click the triangle to the left of the iPad under Devices in iTunes. Then delete the movie from the iPad using iTunes by clicking Movies under the iPad and right-cicking the movie and choosing delete.

  • I have songs appearing as movies on my iTunes - how can I get these songs to appear as songs and not movies?

    Please help!
I have random songs that are appearing in my list of movies.  I have tried deleting them and then redownloading them from the cloud to get them back into songs.  I am successful after redownloading, BUT
...once I close out iTunes and then reenter iTunes, the songs are reappearing as movies.
    PLEASE HELP!  This is crazy.
    Thanks!
    -Zach

I had exactly the same problem. Check that the tracks still appear in your iTunes folder under Music (they should if you've re-downloaded them from the cloud). Next, look in your Movies folder and the songs might appear as individual folders. Delete those folders, empty your trash and then delete the tracks from the Movies tab in iTunes.
    Hope this helps.
