so i rented "we're the millers" about a week ago knowing i would have the allotted 30 days to watch it. Now it is GONE and my iTunes says there are no available downloads. Plus iTunes charged me for it so I know that the order went through. Help?

It's not in the Movies part of your library, and you didn't start watching the film, even for just a second (after starting to watch them they expire in 24 hours if you are in the US, 48 hours elsewhere) ? If not then you could try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

I just recently got an iPad (4th generation) and I've recently rented two movies off of iTunes, and they loaded and worked perfectly fine. Ever since then I haven't downloaded any new apps, or made any changes to my iPad. Just tonight, I rented ONE movie, and it won't let me download it now cause I apparently don't have enough storage?? How much free space do you currently have on your iPad : Settings > General > About > Available ?
And how big is the film - it should be on it's description page in the store. Some films are over 5 gig.
And do the previous rentals show in Settings > General > Usage > Videos - if they do then try deleting them from there.

That won't be possible. You can only view a rental on the device used to do so, unless it is done via computer (in which case you can stream using home sharing)

I rented a movie from iTunes and now it's not working

I rented a movie from iTunes on my iPad and it started downloading. For some reason it stopped. The movie is showing up in the video app but when I hit play or the download cloud it tells me I have rented the movie but have not downloaded it. I go back to iTunes and the download section is gone. I go back to the movie, where you can buy or rent, and it says watch....which if clicked on takes me back to videos. And then it again tells me I have rented the movie but have not downloaded it and to go to Downloads to manage my downloads. THERE IS NO DOWNLOAD SECTION OR OPTION IN ITUNES....IT IS GONE!! I have closed iTunes and restarted my iPad several times and am still having the same issue. I have rented movies in the past with no issues. I have NO IDEA what is going on and am very very frustrated. Hopefully someone can help.

I would ask iTunes Store support for help with this. You may never be able to get the movie to download on your own now.
Go here and then tap on Connecting and downloading, then tap on Movie Rentals. You can have someone contact you, you can chat online or you can get email support. I would opt for the phone call or online chat.

Trying to figure ot how to rent movies from iTunes and watch w/o being connected to web. The dude at the apple store said that when I download it I can designate if I want it downloaded to my device (ie: MacBook) or my Cloud...but I don't see that option being given. Any help? Traveling Tues and I'd like to get a few movies set for my trip.

I have rented ten movies from iTunes store and to my chargin they don't play on my iPad after it indicates it's been already downloaded. This has happened to me a couple of times and I just ignore it and rerent the movies. But now it's all the eight movies I rented and two tv shows, one of which I bought a seasons ticket. If you've downloaded it on the iPad then it should be in the Videos app. If it's not in there then have you got a film age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding it ?

I just rented a movie today of itunes and it is in my rentals however this is my first time renting a movie and i tried to sync it onto my ipod touch version: 4.2.1, (I am going on holiday tomorrow and need it on my ipod before then). I rented a movie 2 days ago off itunes. When i try to play it now, it says it runs out in 47 hours and is so blurry that i cannot make out the movie. Please help, this is a brand new laptop.

Once you start to play a rental you have a finite amount of time - in some cases it is 24 hours and in others I believe 48 hours. You can play as many times as you like during the period.
You have up to 30 days to start to watch the rental but one you start you have 24/48 hours to watch the rental.
Check that your display setting are correct in System prefs.

Does anybody know what to do when you rent a movie from itunes and it soes not seem to download properly? I get a message when I try and play the movie that I have rented the movie but it has not been downloaded. Then it says I need to go to my Downloads?

That would be great if someome had thanswer to this question on downloaded movie rentals and why the downloads don't seem to come through even though they charge your credit card. Any advice would be appreciated.

Try to reboot your computer. If that doesn't work, try deleting the movie and redownloading it (assuming no other AppleID is associated with your computer).
If neither of those work, try contacting the iTunes store.
