HT1657 Rented movie error

I transferred a rented movie back to my Mac before I watched it and an error occurred and it disappeared. How can I get it back without renting it again?

You can try contacting iTunes support and asking for help : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Express Lane, then iTunes > iTunes Store

will i get my money back or a credit?
I think the problem is that I have apple tv pre HD content.
so how can I get the SD without buying it 2x? can I  get money back/credit?

It's common in the sense that you'll see this issue arise in the community from time to time, but in the context that the community is the place that users bring their problems it's probably similar to a broken shoulder which may be common at the hospital but not so common amongst the population that the hospital serves.
In many cases the problem can be solved by restarting the Apple TV (pull the power for best results) and/or restarting your router. Persistent problems may indicate a network issue such as interference locally or a slow download speed from your service provider. Try the restarts and see if that helps.

  • Rented movie error that movie has been copied to another device

I rented a movie tonight and tried to copy it to my Nano, but receive error that movie has been copied to another device, but this is not possible as i only have my computer and ipod. help!

For borrowed do you mean rented? The exact error message helps others to help you.
Rented movies can only be on one device or computer at a time, expire if not watched within 30 days and once you begin watching expire within 24 hours (US) or 48 hours elsewhere. See HT1657 - iTunes Store: Movie rental frequently asked questions (FAQ). If there has been a problem transferring the content then you might want to use the report a problem links in your account history to contact the iTunes Store support team.

  • Cannot watch rented movie - Error 5103

I downloaded a movie to rent. It downloaded fine, but when I try to watch it, I get:
We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (5103).
I did some research and the last thing I could find (from over a year ago) is that this may be because my time is out of sync. But it's not; I auto-sync with an internet time source. And for the record, no, I wasn't trying to futz with the time so I'd have more days to watch it. Just to be safe, I manually re-synced.
The only peculiar thing is that I began downloading it shortly before midnight and finished after midnight.
I tried de-authorizing and re-authorizing my computer, but that didn't work.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this may be happening?
    Thanks.

    Figured it out.
This was the first time I had tried to watch a rented movie since upgrading to Windows 7.
The answer turned out to be disabling UAC. As soon as I did that and rebooted, the movie successfully started playing.
So just FYI if you have this problem in the future.

  • Streaming Rented Movies Error (Apple TV 2G)

    Hi,
I just purchased the new apple tv but the problem is when i try to preview the movie or play rented movie, i always get this error message "An error occurred while loading this content".
I dont know what to do, i tried restarting the router or plugin the Apple tv direct to the Ethernet but still the same problem.
P.S The Apple TV is updated the latest version 4.2

i have had a few errors each one unique, one is the standard error loading content. the other errors are something about needing an hdmi cable umm got one lol.. and the other error is the authorization.. i find simply unplugging the apple tv and plugging it back in works.. i don't use my unit very often its a trail thing..so far im impressed with the quality but not overly impressed with the amount of errors i get its only like a month or three old. id love to see more streaming 1080p content i would drop digital cable if they supported the 1080p and had a few more networks that carried some of my favorite shows.. i have tried resetting it and that don't do much either so i dono *shrug*
anyway if someone ever finds a work around or a fix let me know because unplugging and plugging it back in gets a little friggin annoying but it works.. if you don't mind the hassle

  • HT1657 Rented movie refund

I attempted to rent a movie on iTunes, but the Apple server kept crashing returning 'unknown error (50)' and therefore stopped me from downloading the rented movie. I have tried 11 times and have given up as I keep returning the same error. All other internet connectivity is working fine, and have found the movie on a rival website to stream. I now wish to seek a refund, how do I do this?

  • HT1657 Rented movie froze

My rented movie froze 1/3 of the way in and will now longer play beyond that point, how do I fix it?

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
