HT1657 the audio is off on my rental

audio is way off and video stops playing

Hi Leeperl,
Welcome to the Support Communities!
The following article will provide some troubleshooting steps for this issue:
Apple TV (2nd generation): Static or no sound from your TV when playing Apple TV content

If you can see video but can't hear sound
If Apple TV is connected to a receiver, make sure the receiver is turned on.
Make sure the input setting you've selected on your receiver matches the input you have your audio cables connected to. See the documentation that came with your receiver for more information.
Make sure the volume on your TV or receiver is turned up and isn't muted.
Check whether you can hear sound while playing video only. Also, check whether you can hear audio feedback while clicking through menu options.
If you're connected to the HDMI port on your TV and Apple TV, make sure your TV supports audio through its HDMI port. The HDMI ports on some older TVs support only video.
If you are using HDMI audio, try disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI cable.
If you're connected to the HDMI port on your TV and Apple TV, make sure your TV is setup to receive audio from HDMI. For some TV's this is automatic, but for others there is a choice between digital and analog (for HDMI audio, choose digital). Read more about HDMI audio.
Try the other audio outputs on Apple TV to see if they work.
If possible, try using different audio cables.
I hope this information helps ....
Have a great day!
- Judy

Ever since the new update in iMovie all my audio seems to be there ,but when I get in the middle of the video the audio is off. Help?

I think the problem is that the iPod got set to Manually manage music and videos.  It needs to be set up for automatic syncing again.  Just unchecking that Manually manage music and videos setting does not do it.
In iTunes 12, select the iPod in iTunes (using the device button), so that you see the iPod's "management" screen.  In the sidebar (along left side of screen), there are two headings (Settings and On My Device).  Under Settings, click on Music.  To the right, you see the iPod's Music screen, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.
Check the box at the top for Sync Music.  That turns ON automatic syncing for music.  Below that, choose the option to sync Entire music library (assuming your music library fits completely on your iPod).  Otherwise, you can choose the option to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres and make your selections below.  Then click Apply.

  • When burning iso with disk utility, the audio is off!

I have an ISO file that works fine when I mount it or watch it on VLC.   If I burn it using windows (in parallels) it is fine...
But when I burn it with disk utility, the audio is off by a second or so.  I can't figure this out since it is a disk image.  there shouldn't be a way to dissociate the audio.  I did have a previous version of the iso file that was off..  Is it possible that I am trying to burn an iso file and it is burning a mounted version from before (even though I am choosing this from the finder?)
    Any thoughts or suggestions?
I though macs just work.  Seems a bit more complicated.

I don't recall for sure about "disk utility" and DVD and/or Bluray. It seems to me that Toast is usually used.

  • HT204370 What do I do if the audio is off from the picture, during the movie that I downloaded from Itunes?

What do I do if the audio is off from the picture, during the movie that I downloaded from Itune

Depending upon what country that you are in (films can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the film from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download films or if it re-downloads with the same problem then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • Rip the audio track off a dvd

I am learning Spanish and would like to the take the entire sound track off a Spanish movie and turn it into an mp3 so m I could play to listen to it on my ipod shuffle.  I just want to listen to the track when I am cleaning.  I don't need any visual.
Does anyone know how to do this?
    Thanks.

You may be able to find out who actually performed the music score on the video and then get a download of that song for use in a music player... for a usual customary fee, plus profit. Knowing who made the music does open up other possibilities, though probably not video-length in duration, unless there is a soundtrack available. Maybe to contact the company whose name is on the video and ask if they have access to the soundtrack you can buy, & see what they say.
    {The original WireTap software years ago was handy in saving small files from the dialup internet that sometimes would go away or never be found again; or to make backups of sound to keep in the computer of noise within reach of a microphone attached to the computer. The old version could do little else, for free.}
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Audio cuts off during fade to black transition

After completing my movie, I tried to add a simple fade in at the very beginning and a fade out at the end. The video image fades fine but the audio is off altogether during both transitions.
What's weird is that if I look at the audio track in the precision editor, it looks like it fades in and out perfectly with the video.
    Please help!
    Thanks,
    Jeremy

Any takers? I'd be very keen to learn how to do this as well.
I have a "fade to black" at the end of my movie but I don't want the audio to fade until the end of the clip.

  • Output: Audio is off synch

Little problem... dont know why! It just started all of a sudden.
I have my Frame Offset (in System Settings) set to 7. This is the only way to have my canvas match my external monitor with external audio. I was able to output the video (no matter how long) and the video in my monitor, external monitor, VTR monitor all synched-up perfectly.
But since yesterday, whenever I output something longer than a few minutes the audio will begin to trail off. After a few minutes, the audio is off-synch even though in the beginning it is synching fine.
Today I had to thrash my settings and set my Frame Offset to 0 in order to output a 10 minute video. But in order to continue editing, I have to go back and set it again to 7.
Did I touch a setting somewhere that might have upset FCP? Thanks for your help guys!

  • Capturing footage and audio is off sync?

I'm capturing footage and then play it back on the timeline. I notice that the audio is off sync, why is that? I use Sony DVCAM Deck to capture without altering the setting, in Final Cut Pro 6, and the audio became off sync. Any solution?
    Thank you
    Luis

Is it consistently off-sync? Like is it always 2 frames off? Or does it trail off, like it starts in sync and then it drifts out of sync after several seconds? I recently captured a bunch of stuff that was recorded with a DVX100 and the audio was 2 frames ahead of the video (sometimes it seemed like it was only 1 frame off, but 99% of the time it was 2).
Then another problem that crept up was when it got to the end of a tape, which would confuse Final Cut. It would stop, and then make the last clip captured play at 29.97 when it should have been 23.98, though the audio would play back normally. So it would appear to be in sync for a moment and then it would get way out of sync very quickly. What I had to do then was just babysit the capture of the last scene on the tape and stop it before it got to the end.

  • Audio synch off when exporting to HDTV 720p 29.97 high quality

we are  exporting 720p native footage to the MPEG2 -> HDTV 720p 29.97 High  Quality  preset... the audio is off by six or so frames on export, which  is noticable on talking heads. find out if anyone has found a fix for  this in CS5?

  • How do i get the audio mixer window back

I have reinstalled the program 3 times and I still can't get the audio window back, I moved it over out of the way while making a video and it won't come bak into the frame. Pretty poor program design in my opinion, the volume controls should stay in place while you make a video but they don't. I am very dissappointed in this program. If this is not resolved soon I am going to return this premiere elements 10 and get my money back and find a better program for editing my videos.

If you're not having fun using this program you would probably be better of trying another program. I suggest though that you download and use their trials first - most video editing products have their own strengths and weaknesses. I've been playing around with Corel VideoStudio and Cyberlink PowerDirector recently and while they're not as powerful as Premiere Elements they may be worth trying.
On the other hand, if you want to persevere with Elements, try Window> Restore Workspace or toggling the Audio panels off and on.

  • After rendering video the audio is no longer in sync. Stumped on what's wrong.

I am working on a project similar to others I have done. This is in CS5 with Premiere Pro.
The video is a .m4v at 1080p and 23.976. Audio is 48Hz 16-bit stereo wave.
In editing the audio together I am finding that the further into the video I go the harder it is to get good playback (that's an issue with .m4v files). So I went ahead and rendered the video.
Well now all of the audio is off. I would be forced to redo all of the audio. I have looked at every setting I can think of to no avail. I started a new project and rendered the video right off the bat, but when I placed the synced audio into the timeline, it's off.
I am so stumped I don't even know where to begin. Rendering the video should not change a thing. But it has. Somewhere.
    Any ideas?
This project is a personal one. I don't like the terribly cheap and shoddy 5.1 remixes for most Hong Kong martial arts pictures so I rip the BD's and use the audio from my old laserdiscs (LD audio is never remixed). At 16 bit PCM it sounds superb. But natrually it needs to be synced since laserdiscs were transferred from worn out theatrical prints. Some jobs require minimal editing. Somne a lot. Once finished I create a brand new Blu-Ray to enjoy in my home theater. Anal, yes. but it's a hobby.
I have never encountered this audio drift issue before.

In the Finder, navigate to your projec folder. Look in the Shared Items folder. Is there a video ffile inside? Does it play intact?

  • Audio thrown off by Transitions

i have a section in my video where i have a baby crying ... and I am syncing the crying with the video .... ( the crying is from a seperate audio source ) ..
I have the audio matched ... but when i add transitions in between the clip ...it throws the audio crying off sync ...
I've read that doing transitions after syncing audio is a no-no ...
But if i wait to sync the audio after the transitions .. will the audio still match up ...?
Do i have to cut up the audio file to match each little clip ..?
    HELP PLEASE ...!!!!!

    I did something similar.
I made a "music video" for a friends band made up of live clips I've shoot, and one of the songs from their album playing over the top.
I was using the audio track to get things right and sync up the different clips and transitions so they roughly matched what was going on in the song.
Then I removed the audio track and re-added it and it was all great.
But when I saved it, and also uploaded it to YouTube, this one part at the end wne t out of sync.
    Here's the video:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfUi-y-0dGc
You can see the part I mean, right at the end just before it fades into the live audio I kept in on the last clip.
I don't get why this happened when it was perfect before I uploaded it.

  • After Effects isn't rendering out the audio in my video?

I have the audio output box checked and the same exact setting is working for every other Mac in the office. I just don't get it.

There could be a lot of reasons for this.
Your video may not have an audio track: either no audio at all, or the audio is embedded in the video track; AE needs a separate track.
You may have the audio turned off: check for a little speaker icon with the layer in the timeline, and turn it on.
You may have compressed audio -- mp3, ac3, etc -- and AE doesn't play nicely with it.  Turn them into aiff or wav files.
You didn't say where you're noticing this lack of audio: in AE, or after rendering.
....aaaaand it's tough to know the location of that audio output box you checked, because you didn't say.

  • FCP audio on/off toggle

I am brand new to this software and am under pressure to edit a sequence. Sound works on my computer, I see the meters working with my sequence, I cannot hear it. WHERE is the audio on/off option? I have been searching for more than an hour. PLEASE help. Final Cut Pro

There are several places to look. The above post is a good start. If that doesn't help, look in your audio/video settings in the Final Cut Pro menu and make sure your audio output is set to built in audio if you are using the computer speakers. If you are using a different source to view your footage, make sure you choose that source for the audio output.
Another question... are you getting audio from other apps, like iTunes? If not, your audio output in the System Preferences might not be set to Built In audio either. (I actually find, as the above post states, that I bumped the mute button accidentally...but...)
