My rented movie has no audio

See if you have Mute System Sounds on. Either click the button just above the volume control on the right hand side of your iPad, or if that Locks Screen Orientation, on your home page, double tap your home button and the recently used apps bar will appear below. With your finger, swipe to the right all the way to the very last icon on the left, which would be a Mute icon. Touch it and system sounds will return.

You probably put Midi loops (green) on audio tracks, and audio loops (blue) on Midi tracks.

Premiere Elements 11: Got an m2v file instead of mpeg, and there is no audio

I rendered a video out of Premiere Elements 11 using the "share" function and wanted it to be an Mpeg-2 or Mpeg-4. What I got was 5 different files .ac3, .m2v, .mpg.xmpses_Audio, mpg.xmpses_Video, and .mpg.
The .mpg file is zero bytes and I get a Windows error if I try to play it that says "Windows Media PLayer cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file."
When I try to play the .m2v file there is no audio.
What do I need to do next? I need this file to end up as a Mpeg

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 11 installed on? I ask that in case we need to get into any computer specific details in the troubleshooting exchanges. Windows 7
1. What are the properties of your source media? Video shot from video camera that creates .mp4 files
2. What did you or the program set as the project preset to match the properties of the source media? I let the program match the Preset
3. What were your specific choices in the Export area...

If you have jumped from one to the other in trying to find answers to your problems, then for troubleshooting purposes let us focus on

If iTunes purchases, delete and redownload by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise delete and resync if they play OK in iTunes on the computer

at the end, you say "import preferences", which program are you describing?
So im safer using footage that is remotely being pulled from iphoto...
vs
using footage that is imported into FCP from imovie?
Is there anything i can do in fcp to make this footage more reliable or safer or more stable as i pull remotely from iphoto?

The Buddy's Audio can get dropped completely if the speed of your Internet connections are vastly different.
For example the minimum speed for a 1-1 video chat is only 128kbps Upload (As Downloads tend to be faster).
Where I live in the United Kingdom I can only get DLS. This is further subject to the distance to the Exchange.
DLS at less than 3.5 km can be done at 20Mb at most exchanges.
At some exchanges there is roll out of some Fibre optic services.
In most larger towns and cities there is normally the option of a Cable service that offers similar figures.
In some parts of Sweden you can get 100Mbps services.
When the speed from your ISP varies a large amount then iChat will drop Frames to smooth out the Video
There comes a point when so many frames are dropped that the Audio will not make sense and will be dropped.
At about 128kbps a 5% variance will take you below the 100kbps mark (after allowing for the actual connection overheads)
At 10Mbps that 5% variance can be (in round terms) 500kbps
(A 500kbps service is itself good enough for a 4 way Video chat)
My experience is that PC users on AIM tend to only send the Pic at 10 frames a second (Fps). Any slower than this and the picture losses it's smoothness and flow.
You may see different Speeds and Frame Rates when you Call Out compared to when others Call In.
Setting the Bandwidth Limit to a lower figure such as 500kbps (fast enough for 4 way chats) may get around any variances in the speeds you see in the Connection Doctor during a live chat.

Imported a video file and there is only audio. It was originally captured from VHS onto a PC. It took over 24 hrs to import the 4.24 GB mpg.
Is there something I need to do since it was a mpg from a PC?

I use Steve's method all of the time, and edit the Audio output in Adobe Audition. You will want to Export/Share to PCM/WAV @ 48KHz 16-bit, and keep that format both going and coming back into PrE. Remember that you will be working with an Audio file, that is the full (or almost) Duration of the Timeline. When you Import that edited Audio file, give the program a few moments to Conform that newly Imported PCM/WAV for editing. I suggest not touching the computer, until Conforming has completed 100%, and the little progress bar in the lower-right of the GUI has disappeared. If the Imported Audio file is short, and your computer is fast, you might not even see that progress bar, but the Conforming has taken place, just the same.
I like to keep the original Audio on its Audio Track(s), and just use Window>Audio Mixer to Mute that/those Track(s), leaving only my edited Audio on its own Track un-Muted. This is a "fail-safe," just in case I change my mind along the way, and wish to revert to the original Audio for some reason. It is much easier to Mute-Unmute, than to gather up all of that original Audio again.

HI I am pulling my hair out i want to export a prem pro project to mpeg2 because it needs to play and windows but there is no audio I have tried all setting can some one please help me is there a plug in or mpeg sound card

There are two checkboxes to look at:
Export Audio in the main settings panel
Multiplexing (tab) and choose DVD, or similar, rather than "None."
Even with Export Audio checked, if Multiplexing is set to None, you will get two separate files, one Audio and one Video.

did you put your Air to sleep with headphones attached, or closed the monitor with phones attached?
Do not sleep your Air (close the monitor with headphones attached) with headphones attached, this is known to affect some Air under Mavericks.
* this occurrence is being looked into.
Much testing on my own and others as well show that, in some instances, this occurs in Mavericks.
If you choose you may contact Apple for an appt and diagnostics.
However as said, refrain from having phones attached when you close the monitor to prevent this until it is resolved

Try checking you are not sending the audio to a remote source such as an airport express, appleTV or something similar.
Probably not the solution, but something I keep finding I've done.

Without a link, it's anybody's guess.
It could be a problem the video rendering itself. Which software did you use?
Did you export to the 3 file types -- MP4, OGG and WEBM to support all browsers?
Does your web server support those 3 MIME file types?
