HT1657 Why can't I get rentals from my MacBook to apple tv

I just rented a movie and I am trying to play it from my MacBook to appletv. If I go to rentals on appletv it says no new rentals. But if I try to rent it again it says I already rented it. It is also trying to say that I have to purchase it again, why is that?

You need to be physically located in the country, its territories or possessions whose store you are trying to use.

Why can't I get internet from my AirPort Express?

I have an AirPort Express. I have three iPhones, two MacBooks, one iMac, one iPad, two Xbox 360's, a Wii and an HP printer connected to it. My dad has a toshiba laptop running windows vista and I can't get internet from it. I can connect to the AirPort Express just fine. I have exelent signal and all. But when I try to go online it says I dont have any internet. I ran the diogostics and it said theres no internet connection when clearly there is when I have all these devises connected to it without any problem at all. Can someone please help me out and tell me why and how I can fix it?

Hi - I just upgraded from an Airport Extreme to Time Capsule. The MacBook Pros and old iBook went on the new network fine, but my Toshiba did the same thing as yours. After hours of trying to figure out the settings myself (including reading this forum), a couple of calls to Apple and lots of troubleshooting they referred to me Toshiba. It took two calls to Toshiba (and a $49 troubleshooting fee), but it's now working. The second tech took over my computer remotely, deleted the old Atheros network software and did an upgrade. It's working great now! Good luck.

I can't transfer my audiobooks from my iPad to my iPod. I find this "new iPad" to be tarded x 3. Which makes it "********". Had I known that Apple dumbed this ipad down on purpose, I would have never bought it. Weird.

Transfer the purchase from the ipad to your computer: File>Transfer Purchases
Sync it to your ipod.

Why can't I get updates from the app store

why can't I update my apps? It always ask for the password and then goes right back to update.

Try signing out of iTunes & App Store then signing back in.
Settings->iTunes & App Store. Tap on your Apple ID then select sign out
Restart your iPad
Now, open Settings->iTunes & App Store - sign back in.
See if you can update now.
if not try Settings->General->Reset->Reset All Settings
You won't lose any data but will have to log back into your wifi networks again,

Hello,
I was transferring files from my macbook to my Buffalo HD-PNTU3 when it was accidentally removed improperly; Once I plugged it back in I could no longer transfer any files the cursor would turn into the round banning icon and wouldn't take the command.
After reading some posts in the community I tried repairing disk permissions in Disk Utility but it was in vain. Any propositions?

From your post I see that you're unable to move files to your external hard drive ever since it was unplugged before being ejected. To start troubleshooting this issue, I'd like you to please repair the disk using Disk Utility.

Why can't I get music from my computer on to my ipod?

I have the music I need from a CD on my PC. I can not get the music to then transfer to my iPod. The computer is authorized, but I have never been able to transfer music. Please help.

Your computer should not need to be authorised in order to put music from CDs onto your iPod.

What happens when you try?
How do you try to put the music onto the iPod, are you using the Sync method or are you using Manually Manage?
You have imported this CD music into your iTunes Library, haven't you? (I see no mention of iTunes, which is why I ask.)
Even more basic, you have installed iTunes on your PC, haven't you?

Why can I not get help from Firefox?

I have asked question on the forum. I have sent feedback. I have tried to call. I get no response from FireFox. I think you may not have a support department. If I have to go to another browser to upload files to my boss, than I could just use the other browser for all my business.

Why can't I get help from you people? Thunderbird is installed, but not working.

I carefully followed the directions for installing Thunderbird. I am running WinXP pro. Thunderbird is there but not functioning. I am 78 years old and I need help from you re: install. I am not going to pay $$$$$to get a computer tech to come to my home and install Thunderbird. I had no trouble installing Firefox, but Thunderbird is an absolute drongo. This appears to be your first post here and you have not provided much detail to work with. This is the Thunderbird support forum. No one is going to call or email you other than the spammers that get your info that you posted in a public forum.

Hi, do you have old settings from MobileMe or dot Mac maybe?
Do not delete the old account yet. sign up for an iCloud account if you haven't.
I understand .mac mail will still come through. Do not delete the old account yet.
You cannot use .mac or MobileMe as type of Account, you have to choose IMAP when setting up, otherwise Mail is hard coded to change imap.mail.me.com to mail.me.com & smtp.mail.me.com to smtp.me.com, no matter what you try to enter.
iCloud Mail setup, do not choose .mac or MobileMe as type, but choose IMAP...
On second step where it asks "Description", it has to be a unique name, but you can still use your email address.
IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
          •          Server name: imap.mail.me.com
          •          SSL Required: Yes
          •          Port: 993
          •          Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
          •          Password: Your iCloud password
SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:
          •          Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
          •          SSL Required: Yes
          •          Port: 587
          •          SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
          •          Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
          •          Password: Your iCloud password
Also, you must upgrade your password to meet the new criteria: 8 characters, including upper and lower case and numbers. If you have an older password that does not meet these criteria, when you try to setup mail on your mac, using all of the IMAP criteria listed above, it will still give a server error message. Go to   http://appleid.apple.com         then follow directions to change your password, then go back to setting up your mail using the IMAP instructions above.

I have a Boston accoustics speaker system from my old HP computer that worked fine on my old DELL computer but isn't playing sound when plugged into this Laptop? Any suggestions why it won't work? It shuts down the computer sound when I plug it in and don'y se it listed a s a hooked up device?

Why can't I get things from my old library?

Okay to make a long story short.
I brought a new iPod yesterday, & I wanted to use the videos & music from my old iTunes account.
But when I signed in I didn't have any songs or anything!!
So I authorized my computer then deauthorized it. But it still didn't work.

Have you copied or re-downloaded your old content onto the computer ? I don't know what country you are in, but in a number of countries you can re-download past music purchases : re-downloading. Film purchases can't currently be re-downloaded, so have you got a backup copy of them anywhere ?
