HT1665 Is their an adapter to connect a i phone 3 to a lightning connector
we have recently purchased a Sony radio/alarm with docking station. The docking station is for the i phone 4/5 series . Is there an adapter to connect from this to my i phone 3 ?
I've seen USB2<->FW cables/adapters advertised out of China, but there is no way for them to work, different voltages, amps, & protocols.
Some few FW400 drives here, but FW800 will work with a 6 pin<->9 pin cable...

Hi all,
I am seriously considering dropping my landline since I mostly if not only uses my iPhone as my primary device for calls. The problem I have is an alarm system is connected to my land line and requires a way to call the alarm centre in case of an emergency.
I talk to my alarm service provider for an alternative. They already have the cellular option, but it adds $12/m which is not a big saving... They are working on finding an IP/Internet solution, but it will be also a $4/m.
I was wondering if I could use the FREETALK Connect•Me Home Phone Adapter for Skype as a solution. From a computer I can call any 1-800 numbers for free, and I really suspect that the alarm centre is a toll free number too. So in theory it could work.
Can anyone share their experience with the device and suggest if my solution can work or not?
ThanksI use that adapter in my house, it works just as a normal landline would. There is a slightly longer predial delay when initiating a call (approx 3 second Skype dialing noise), beyond that no real difference. If the box doesn't lock up, or your Internet doesn't go down it should be rather reliable as a replacement. Those are worst-case scenarios and I generally don't find myself having to do anything to maintain it. In any case I have it connected to a power surge strip like I do the rest of my equipment. Should I need to reset it, I just toggle the switch.

How can I connect my Ipad Air to my PC to see the Ipad screen on the PC?
I have connected them via the Ipad to a LIGHTNING DIGITAL AV ADAPTER-ZML connected to a APPLE HDMI TO HDMI CABLE (1.8 M)-ZML, and to the HDMI port on the PC. But now I don't know how to show the Ipad screen on the PC, as if it was a monitor / screen, so that I can then use Lync and share my PC screen with people virtually.

JCA adapter outbound connection properties values are not populating ..

I am struggling to find a solution for this problem.
My managed connection factory impl has all the properties as per the java bean spec. I have also implemented hashcode and equals but i still don't see the custom outbound custom properties information populated into my ManagedConnectionFactoryImpl properties. I checked property names in both weblogic-ra.xml and ra.xml. The names are consistent.
As per this discussion (BINDING.JCA-12510 JCA Resource Adapter location error in SOA 11g Suite i saved the properties using Keyboard entered. I restarted my server and also i can see the saved values
I also verified the Plan.xml that gets created when the values are updated. Please find the provided the code snippets. Any help appreciated.
Please let me know if i need to post this in a different forum. We use weblogic 10.3.5 application server. Let me know for any more details.

I tried, no luck and it is giving me the following error. Once the Plan.xml is created I am usinng "update" button on the console to redeploy the application using Plan.xml. When I take this route it gives me 2 options (1. update this application in place with new deployment plan 2. redploy this application using the following deployment files).
When I use the second option eventhough there is a change in the Plan.xml nothing happens. If I use the first option then I am getting the following exception. If I put the module-override for application then only the ear is getting deployed.

Trouble w/Linksys WRT54G2 connecting w/Linksys Phone Adapter SPA2102
I am trying to connect my new VOIP phone adapter Linksys SPA2102 with my wireless router Linksys Cisco #WRT54G2 V1. I have DSL and previously had the wireless router connected with a Vonage Phone Adapter and everything worked fine. When trying to connect my new phone adapter Linksys(SPA2102) it does not work. It will work if I connect the new adapter directly with my DSL modem but will not work through my wireless router (WRT54G2 v1). I have turned everything off and restarted all products several times along with the PC and still no luck. The only way I can get my DSL to work with the new adapter is to wire it directly to the DSL modem. Everything worked yesterday prior to trying to use the new phone adapter. I hope this makes sense lol. This is not allowing me to use my laptop through the wireless router. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Jennyyou should try this -- it shows you how to configure wrt54g2 behind the SPA2102 because it is recommended that you put the SPA2102 directly behind modem for better voice quality

Hi, I use facetime regularly with my parents who live outside US and it stopped working. Their ipad2 rings,says connecting..and then 'call failed'. Upgrading their iOS5 (or 6) is not a option as my parents do not know to do this. I came across forums where this issue is mentioned on apple support and cnet.

Though the 6 GB versions were available in November so I guess they really did get 'nervous' about Christmas and like to get their shopping done early! Kudo's to you for trying to remain with the Creative line but for what you're looking for it's obviously not the player for you. Creative seems to be fine-tuning their line for the audio crowd. I'm into mp3 players for the audio. Sure, the ability to watch video's and look at pictures on a decent screen is a plus but for me at least, it's all about the music. And with music, 6 GB is more than enough. Heck, 8 GB would have been more than enough for me. I'm a subscriber to Napster-to-go, so I don't feel the need to carry 00 plus GB of stuff on my portable player. I honestly don't understand the desire to watch movies or TV shows on tiny little screens. But you're also talking to a guy who doesn't watch television. What a complete waste of time and brain cells. Probably the **competitor products we can't discuss here** or one of those players would better suit your needs. Companies are definately picking their niche markets carefully and Creative's decision to not offer hard dri've players any more seems to definately be saying bye-bye to that market. I can't say I blame them. Hard dri'ves eventually give up the ghost and are quite delicate for people on the go. Good ridance, I say. Let Apple, Zune and all the others cater to the Z generation's need to be spoonfed their video/TV addictions anywhere and everywhere. I'll pass. It's one thing to be able to enjoy some music on the go and enhance an otherwise dull work day or dri've. But movies/TV shows at work, school, or wherever? Please. Cut the cord! Just my $.02 - YMMV!
