HT1665 need a audio video cable to connect to my radio in my car

need a audio video cable to connect to my dvd player in my car what do i nedd

What will the cay system accept?
You can get cable for the 4G iPod that support?
- VGA, you also need audio cable for headphone jack to car system,
- Composite, you also need audio cable for headphone jack to car system,
- Component, you also need audio cable for headphone jack to car system,
- HDMI (digital AV)
Note that TV out only works for the 4G for apps that support TV out. The Video app is one such app.

How do I connect an iPhone 5S or 6 with audio video cables? Our van only has these connections. Apple did have a cable that worked with the 4/4S, but it does not work with an adapter on the 5S. I want audio only.

  • Dynex Component Audio/Video cable for iPhone doesn't just play music?

I just purchased Dynex Component Audio/Video cable for iPhone and it plays video, but not music. It only works when I'm using Neflix or the video component of the iPod. How do I get it to just play my music?
If I run the iPod music and open Netflix the music will play, but that is just a roundabout way of getting it to play audio and is silly. How do I get it to just play audio?

don't think so but the component rely on normal analog signals using RCA connectors
you can find tons of 3.5mm minijack connector and 2 rca connectors in the other cables
they are dirt cheap and you can even make them yourself

How do I connect my HD radio in my car to iTunes?

Yes, you can mirror your monitor on the TV.  Hit CMD F1 to toggle between extended desktop mode and mirror mode.  All you need is the Mini DP to HDMI adapter and a HDMI cable.

  • Slow audio/video ichat startup connection

I work in a large hospital. I am looking at using ichat across a LAN (other .mac buddies).
I can quickly access buddies and text chat, but initiating audio/video with isight camera takes up to 5 mins. The other buddy clicks on the "accept" button for my incoming call, but then there is a 5 min lag before video connection is established. Once established we can then get reasonable video/audio. It is the initial connection that is really quite slow.
any suggestions how my IT Dept can fix this - is it a broadband issue, or a ports issue?
    thanks

Not quite Chris - your hospital will probably have a device or several devices distributing IP addresses connecting everyone to the network - the DHCP server. That device could have more work to do (ie number of users, traffic volume) than it is capable of delivering at speed. Using Bonjour for iChat relies on this device matching up buddies - if the device is busy you'll have to wait longer to be matched up for video chat. Ask your IT department to look at whether these devices are hitting 100% CPU - if yes that will most certainly be your problem waiting 5 minutes to connect.
Meanwhile - a separate suggestion - it sometimes helps to speed things up by reducing the number of directories your Mac looks at when searching busy networks. AppleTalk is the original Bonjour - SMB relates to communication with Windows. If performance remains unchanged simply tick them back on.
    Any use?

  • Need Laptop Audio Amplifier for USB Connected Speakers

For a laptop, does Creative have any kind of audio amplifier for USB connected speakers?
I think the laptop has what is called an Express 54 slot.
I am looking for amplification suitable for speakers, not headphones.

If their only connection to the laptop is via USB than you can't amp them without doing some internal modifications. It means the speakers have their own audio device internally which is receiving signal via the USB port, processing it and then outputting it via likely a weak amp stage to the speakers - you'd have to physically intercept that last part of the chain to add an amplifier.
Not saying it can't be done but you're looking at either harvesting an existing amp (which Creative don't seem to sell) or creating one from scratch (like the Penguin Mint amp, Objective 2, etc) for the purpose.

  • RCA Audio-Video cable to HDMI

Do they make a cable or device that can take the audio and video RCA and convert it to a HDMI out? Thanks!

In terms of RCA cables - is it a red/white pair?  That permits analog stereo audio only.
Ideally you want a digital audio connection, which is S/PDIF.  There are two common connections for this - coaxial and optical.  Coaxial is also an RCA connector but usually colored orange.  Optical is a connector known as TOSLINK.
If your audio source has optical only and the soundbar has coaxial only or vice versa, you'll need a special adapter.  I've never bought/purchased one myself though.
Don't buy Monster brand.  Massively overpriced.  Don't pay more than $10 for a 6 foot cable - I got my cables for $4.55 each for 6-foot 8mm cables with premium connectors and a net sheathing over the cable.  I can't link to them as I purchased from a BBY competitor.
Also note that the soundbar itself may be the limiting factor.  I have always avoided them since they seem like the surround effect would be way too dependent on room geometry.

  • Muse needs an audio/video player widget!

I am building a website for a music agency and need to have clickable links or (ideally) a customisable player for mp3/video files so clients can hear/see the artist before hiring them. I used to use Frontpage and simply created a folder with the audio files in it then hyperlinked the text to the audio file, but Muse has no files I can access. Is there a workaround, or better still, can we have a media player widget?

    Hi silverdogmusic.
You can hyperlink to audio files in Muse.  Muse normally sticks audio and video files you upload into a folder it creates called Assets.
Go to the page that has the text you want to hyperlink to the audio files.
    Select the desired text.
Click Add or filter links from the Muse toolbar.
At the very bottom of the list pages there is a Files category with an option to Link to File.  Click that option.
Navigate to the desired audio file and select it.
    Then upload your pages.
If you look behind the scenes, you'll see that Muse put your audio file into an Assets folder and the next time you go to link to another file Muse will display the current Assets as well.
    I hope this helps.
For a customizable player, I usually embed HTML code for that.

  • PowerBook 160   Powerbook Video Cable: how to connect to mdern flat monitor?

I wish to connect a Macintosh PowerBook 160 (very old) to a modern flat monitor. I have got the Macintosh PowerBook Video Cable that connects with one end with the Powerbook and has a sub-D 15 (two rows of holes) female connector on the other end. What kind of connection is required between the video cable and the 15-pins (three rows) of the monitor?-- Thanks for any hints, Peter

If your "modern flat monitor" is a widescreen display (16:9 aspect ratio), its optimal resolution will not be supported by the PowerBook 160 and its very limited 512K of VRAM.  Even if you used a Mac-to-VGA adapter to connect the display's VGA plug to the PowerBook's display cable, the onscreen result would be unacceptable.  I wouldn't waste the $$ attempting to do so.  Mac users with much newer and capable Power Macs having PCI graphics cards sometimes have compatibility problems with new displays.

  • Audio/Video Switch Question

    Heres the scenerio:
I have A JVC Wide Screen Projector that has (On the Back) component plugs and regular video plugs (Red, White, and yellow). I want to plug in the Apple tv to the TV, but that means I would be plugging the audio cables into another input. When I everything to the tv, I can see the apple tv, but I cannot hear anything because the audio plugs are plugged into another input.
On the tv side, If I plug in the component cables from one input and plug in audio-video from another input into the output on the switch.
Then plug the Apple tv into one of the inputs on the switch, will it work?
If the output on the switch is being plugged into two different inputs on the tv, will the apple tv be able to play sound and be seen when its plugged into the switch?

The back of my TV has a component input (green red blue). It also has another input for Video (red, white, yellow).
I can get video on the Apple TV from the component, but when I connect the audio to the red, white, I get no sound.
I was thinking that I am connecting to two different inputs, so thats why I would need a audio/video switch.

  • Basic s-video cable question

    hello,
I'm new to using a dvd recorder and am trying to hook it up.   My tv does not have an s-video port but the dvd player and cable box do.  I have the regular audio/video cables hooking the dvd player to the tv.. those work fine.  When i use those same cables to record with the dvd player, from box to dvd player they work fine also.  I figured since it was there i would get an s-video cable and use that.  So i have basic red and white audio cables hooking the cable box to the dvd recorder and it records audio ok.. but the s-video cable i just connected the cable box to the dvd player either doesn't work or i'm missing something because there is no video going to the player.
Basically am I missing something in getting the cable box to product video through my new s-video cable?
    thank you
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You should not have paid more than $5 for a s-video cable.  Next time, order from Monoprice.com.
The Motorola box always outputs through s-video, so if you aren't getting a picture, then you need to check two things.  First, make sure the s-video is connected to a s-video input on the DVD recorder, not a s-video output.  Second, you may need to change a setting on the DVD recorder to use the s-video input rather than composite (yellow RCA) input.

  • Conecting Mini DVI to HDMI Video Cable with my mac book pro

Hi. I just bought Mini DVI to HDMI Video Cable to connect my mac book pro to my HD TV. I connected the cables and put my TV on HDMI input. On the TV it appears the Snow Leopard Background but I can't see my desktop or the icons. What should I do to view my mac book pro on the Tv? Thanks!

    Hi y3p3v3,
On the TV it appears the Snow Leopard Background but I can't see my desktop or the icons. What should I do to view my mac book pro on the Tv? Thanks!
You've got it connected, and you're viewing it already! Connect it up again, and try dragging a window either to the left, or right, off your built-in screen. You'll find that it appears on your TV!
What you're doing is running the computer in "extended desktop" mode. That means that your TV screen is available to put things on, but won't show your menu bar, dock, or icons. Those remain on the "primary screen" which remains your MBP's built-in display.
When the TV is plugged in, go to System Preferences --> Displays
The main System Preferences window will remain on your MBP's screen, but a second one should appear on the TV as well. If you go to the one on your MBP's screen, and click the "Arrangement" tab, you'll see two screens shown in the diagram. One will have a menubar. That's your MBPs screen. You can drag the menubar to the other screen to change the primary screen to the TV.
OR, you can just click "Mirror Displays" and your TV will show the exact same picture as your MBP display. This option is the simplest and will accomplish what you want, I think.
If you have any other questions, or if you need any clarification, feel free to ask!

  • Apple video cable technical question

I can not seem to find the answer to this question anywhere... I have the Apple component AV cable and the Composite video AV cable. I have measured the resistance of all the pins and compared to the posted pinout web sites.
I am confused about the pin 21 details (not sure if this has been updated)
I measure 500k pin 21 to ground for both cables
the composite video line comes from pin 8, the component connectors go to 8, 9 and 10.
My question should be clear by now, If the resistance on pin 21 (which should define what accessory is connected) how does the iPhone (and iPad) know which type of video to output ???
I am an engineer and this is driving me nuts, maybe i am missing something..
thx in advance for any details.
