HT1670 Can't sync from iPhone4 up to iMac.

I'm using MS Entourage 2008 (12.2.0).  No problem syncing down from iMac to iPhone.  It won't sync UP from iPhone to iMac.  I enter an event for say August 16 on my iPhone then run sync thru iTunes, the event will NOT sync UP to my iMac.    But, if i add and event for the same day on my iMac then run sync it will sync both events both ways for that date.  Any assistance would be appreciated.   Thanks.

can i sync from online itunes?

If the videos are iPad compatible, you need to download them to computer then copy over to iTunes. After that connect iPad to iTunes with the video selected, click Sync button.

  • Can you sync from iPhone to PC?

Can you sync from iPhone 3GS to PC, instead of the other way 'round?

The syncing of iTunes content is a one way transfer process only - from iTunes on your computer, or from your iPhone to your iTunes library on your computer the first time you sync your iPhone with iTunes after purchasing/downloading music, video, or 3rd party apps with your iPhone.
iTunes content is not kept synchronized but is part of the iTunes sync/transfer process. Photos transferred from your compute to your iPhone via the iTunes sync/transfer process are not kept synchronized either. The transfer of photos is a one way transfer process only - from your computer to your iPhone.
The only bi-directional or true sync process is for contacts, calendar events, and Safari bookmarks with the supported applications on your computer. The same for notes if you are using a supported application on your computer for syncing notes.
In regards to iTunes content, an iPhone can be synced with an iTunes library on a single computer only, and photos can be transferred from a single computer only. When transferring iTunes content and photos from another computer, all iTunes content and photos transferred from a different computer will be erased from the iPhone first. You can sync contacts, calendar events, and Safari bookmarks with the supported applications on multiple computers.
You need to transfer your iTunes library from your old computer to your new computer along with all other important data that you will need or want to access on your new computer such as photos, documents, etc. All iTunes content is stored in an iTunes named folder. With iTunes quit on your new computer, place the copy of the iTunes named folder from your old computer in the appropriate location for access by iTunes on your new computer. You will also need to authorize your new computer with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so.
iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store from an iPod or iPhone, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only. First you need to authorize your computer with your iTunes account with iTunes. With your iPhone connected to iTunes and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.
The iPhone is not designed or intended to be used as a backup storage device or as a storage device to transfer data from one computer to another.

  • If I buy a Macbook Pro, can I sync it with my desktop iMac?

If I buy a Macbook Pro, can I sync it with my desktop iMac?

If what you mean is whether you can move all your files to the new Mac, SURE -- that is easy.
Daily Local sync-ing seems to have been removed from 10.9 Mavericks, which would come pre-installed on a new Mac.
You can sync through iCloud or a Server you control.
File Sharing between Macs on a network remains available.

  • Can I sync from iPad to a Mac as hard drive crashed and data lost

My iMac hard drive crashed and the data cannot be recovered. Can I sync the iTunes data on my iPad or iPhone back onto the new hard drive?

You should be able to recover data that is in the backup. That does not included some items like music. See the following for what is in the backup:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4079
First in iTunes preferences check the box for prevent automatic syncing when a device is connected.
They connect your iPod to the computer and transfer iTunes purchases to the computer. See:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
Then right click on the iPad listed under Devices in the left hand side and click on "Back Up". After backup is complete I think you will have to restore the iPad from backup to complete the process of using your iPad to the "new" computer.

  • Can't Sync my iPhone4 Windows XP

    Can't Sync - iPhone4 - Windows XP - iTunes version 10.4.1.10
1st AppleMobileDevice seems to run and run and uses up all my CPU capability.
When I connect and get iTunes to recognize my iPhone4, it starts the Sync process..
"Backing Up"  (step 1 of 4)   but ....
it seems to just run forever in this mode, and never backs up .  sometimes iTunes stops working and just sits there.
The problem has been getting worse since iTunes 10.2
I have no other programs running, just iTunes.
Basically I can no longer Sync my iPhone4, can't add new APPS, or rearrange the ones that are already on it.
    Someone Please HELP !!!
    Thanks!   Doug

Hi Doug.  I had the same problem so took my iPhone to Apple Store for Genius appt.  Whilst there, it synced perfectly - the chap thought it might be my wifi settings at home interfering with iTunes.  So when I got home I disabled wifi signal and hey presto - it synced fine!  Hope this works for you.

  • HT4236 how large of a tiff can you sync from your computer to iphone 4?

what's the largest size photo I can sync?

The camera roll is not part of the sync process at all.
You should be importing these photos to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera.  Youc an organize them on your computer and sync the to the iphone if you wish.
The photos sync from the computer to the iphone is one way.
The iphone mirrors the selected content of the computer to which it is synced.
