As it seems Gmail doesn't accept kids email accounts, but hotmail and yahoo are said to do. I've not managed to set up one for my daughter though! good luck!

If you don't have access to your rescue email account (you won't be able to change it until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4551

What you've outlined in this part of the post is all that icloud stores for you outside of the backup. If you want to restore from the icloud backup you will then have for all practical purposes a carbon restoration back to your device if you restore from the icloud backup.

Apple doesnt give this feauture and there are certain apps in app store under utilities which provide password facility under this app and u can store photos videos and orther stuff and lock so
Kids will be not able to access this single app ortherwise there is no such feature of locking apps feature given by apple

You need to get the previous Apple ID password reset. The only way to do that is to log onto Manage your Apple ID and click on Reset Password for the Apple ID you need to sign off of the device:
Apple - My Apple ID
You will have to answer the Security Questions. If you do not know the answers, you will have to have Apple Support reset them for you:

Thanks, but impractical. Many of the folders have more than 500 emails. Total is about 2 GB (which I have free on iCloud btw)

My business uses an online application that can send emails to our customers as long as we provide it with an email account. I used the following from my mail.app:
SMTP HOST: smtp.mac.com
SMTP PORT: 25
SMTP_AUTH: true
SMTP USER: cryogen (my dotmac account and email)
SMTP PSWD: ****** (my dotmac password)
But, I cannot seem to get this to work. I tried it with another account I have with COMCAST.NET and I was able to successfully send emails using that account.
Is there something special about a dotmac account that I am missing?

The information you’ve provided now is what I was asking for. Unfortunately, it’s still insufficient. It’s critical to know here whether the SMTP server does actually accept or reject the request of the mail client to send the message. Any conventional mail client would allow you to know that. In Mail, for example, you know that the message has been sent because Mail puts it in the Sent mailbox (whether the message arrives at the destination is an entirely different issue). And if the SMTP server rejects the message for some reason, Mail will report what the reason is.
Whether I’ve actually set up a different mail client to send with a .Mac account is irrelevant -- I don’t even have a .Mac account, for that matter, nor do I need one. Gee, if I needed to have the same accounts as the people I help, I couldn’t be here. Fortunately, I just need to know how email works and what the idiosyncrasies of some email services are, if any.
Try setting up your .Mac account using a conventional alternative mail client, such as Thunderbird, and you’ll see that you can do that with no problems -- or, if you have problems, it should be pretty clear what they are exactly and how to fix them.

Just log out of the current account and create a new account and merge your data when prompted. You might be better exporting your data from calendars and contacts to your desktop before you start so you have a back up.

How can I put back the bar that held my go-to site icons?

I am referring to the bar that has the site address, and Google box. In the past, I placed a lot of icons on that bar, that I got from my bank, utility sites for bills, mail, facebook, etc. It was a great convenience. The bar had a plus sign, to add more icons. A window would appear, that allowed you to choose an icon and enter the site address. A lot of the sites had their own icons, that would automatically appear, in the window. Now, I tried to follow the directions to add icons to the bar, but it looks like there are very few available, and hardly any that I use. I'm hoping that there is a way that can be used to add back the bar's abilities to place very useful icons, that were so easy to use. I'm sure many people are upset also. It's a mystery how anyone could think that the new features would be better than the old, at least for this one bar's usefulness. Thanks, in advance, for your help.

How can I put MP3's on an iPad without using a computer?

I am helping out a local sports team with music for their players. They have purchased an iPad and are currently buying about 150 songs from iTunes so that the kids have music to listen to while they practise. They also want to be able to use the iPad to play MP3's that were created specifially for the team (local sponsors, etc). The team doesn't have a "team" computer that they can sync to it though. They don't want someones personal computer used with the iPad. They would like it to simpoly be a "team" device
Problem though... how how do we get the MP3 tracks that are the sponsors into the default music app on the iPad? We have no computer to do this with. Are we out of luck?
We could use a computer, but we DON'T want it "syncing" or being associated with the iTunes ID that already is partnered with whomever's computer we use.
Does anyone here know of a solution?

You can buy the Pages, Numbers and Keynote apps from the App Store (the versions that are used on a Mac are separate purchases, Macs and iPads use different operating systems).

How can I delete my rescue email, in order to use it as my primary email?

Im trying to change my primary email, in order to use my rescue email as my primary I just can't do it. I already deleted my alternative email which is my rescue email and it still doesn't let me. Any ideas or what should I do.

go to id.apple.com , click manage, sign in using your apple ID, click on Password and Security, answer the questions, then you can edit (or delete) your rescue email address.
Before you edit the primary email to something different, make sure you sign out of iMessage, FaceTime, iTunes and App Stores, and iCloud (including find my iPhone) on all your devices. After you are signed out, you can edit the primary address, then sign back in on the devices.
