HT1688 My phone's iMessages are being sent to a the intended addressee. However in addition to him, his father's email account just recently started receiving our texts last night. How can we stop him from receiving our texts and replying in our thread?
I've tried turning iMessage on and off, his son has deleted his iCloud account in suspiscion that that was the cause of the problem, etc.
We've been texting for months without problem. This morning his son texts me, "Good morning," and then his father replies into our thread, "Good morning to you too!" I checked my contact, and I never had his father's email account before nor was his email a part of his son's contact. Please help me to stop him reading our messages. Thank you.
You don't necessarily need to change the Apple ID for iMessage, in Settings > Messages > Received At > On each device have them uncheck any number/email that does not belong to that device

So even when I load up websites (like ones we here at my job have created) with very simple HTML and absolutely nothing Flash related, I still get a pop-up asking me to install flash (pops down from the URL bar at left.) How can I stop this without disabling all plug-in updates?
Moreover, why in the name of all that's good is it asking me about Flash when I have no pages open with anything remotely Flash like on them?
Thanks to anyone who can answer.I do not see why this should happen because of Firefox. Maybe you have some sort of adware on your system.

Try Firefoxin safe mode to rule out your standard extensions. if that does not solve the problem then scan for malware with multiple and up-to-date tools.

To further clarify my dilemma ....
A friend of mine just got a new phone number on her LG cell phone.
When I try to text her, my messages are going to someone else's iPhone.
The iPhone has been deactivated off the VZ cell network, but they are still using it on WIFI.
They used to have this number on their iPhone, and it's still active in iMessage.
So, when I try to send a text message to my friend on her LG, from my iPhone,
they instead go to this total stranger, cuz they still have that number active in their iMessage account.
This is a serious issue!!
The only suggestion I get from apple support is to have my friend get a new number, or for me to turn off iMessage when I want to text her.
Not really the optimum solution.
Something really should be done to prevent this from happening!
Strangers are effectively intercepting text messages!
Help!?!Tell her to contact her carrier and get a new phone number.

How can I stop Verizon from sending me texts and calling my phone?
I am not the primary on the account. The primary has called and complained numerous times and was told each time, my number isn't in the system and I shouldn't be getting these, but the calls and texts keep coming, dozens per month, every month. When I get the calls, I push the number to let them know they are calling the wrong number, it tells me to wait for customer service and when they answer they wont talk to me because I am not the primary. I am so upset by being harassed by the 10 calls and messages per day and no one will help me. Somebody help stop these automated calls and get my number out of the automated call and text system! I need a solution.
My next suggestion is to simply change your cell number on this line. However I frown upon doing so since I believe you may end up with a worst set of annoyance calls then you are receiving now. Its a crap shoot.
Often times it takes almost 30 days for your number to be purged from verizons calling or marketing system. Just wait for that time to elapse before doing any number change.
At my verizon you can block up to five text or telephone numbers for 90 days. If they are not internal verizon business numbers you can block them
Please note these calls you receive can be external telemarketing calls who are pestering verizon customers via auto dial.
You can send unwanted texts to #spam and follow the instructions.

How can I stop Exchange from including previous text in message replies?
This is an issue because many people use "reply to" from their iPhone and the previous messages are included at the bottom of the message. But they are not aware of the earlier messages. Now and again, especially when we have several ".cc" persons, a confidential discussion is messaged out to people who do not need to have it. In Outlook Exchange on my PC, I have this turned off. This means that when I want to include the original message, I select and copy it, then paste it at the bottom of the new message. That is much more secure.
In Nokia Symbian it was possible to leave out the original message. Can the iPhone do this?
Many Thanks for your help.There is no setting for this with the iPhone's Mail app - to include or not include the recieved message when replying to the message. The recieved message is included by default.

How can i stop adobe from installing google toolbar and chrome every time i install/ update adobe?
Im never using chome and/ or google, but i liked adobe untill it started installing google every time it updated.
now, using adobe, i keep uninstalling chome and scroogle toolbar...
it took some time before i realized it also installed scroogle every time i update adobe. if i cant fix this, i will uninstall adobe, will never use adobe till its fixed.
can anyone tell me how to stop this, keeping adobe, or do i have to uninstall everythig adobe offers?

Since upgrading to the latest version, I have viewed read and interacted with everything on the What's new page. I have done this a number of times but the page is still opened each time I launch Firefox. In addition it shows my homepage in a second tab.

A friend is complaining that every time I send him a text message to his iphone from my iphone it goes to his ipad. How can I stop this from occurring ?
If he has iMessage on his iPad set to receive at his iPhone's phone number, that is exactly what is supposed to happen. There's nothiing you can do - he needs to remove his iPhone number from his "you can be reached at" iMessage settings on his iPad.

Do you think deleting the message off the phone would make a difference?If you don't enter an e-mail address, it just uses SMS and MMS. iMessages (sent over the data connection instead of using your SMS messaging plan) require an e-mail address registered on the device.

iPhoto has detected faces of people I dont know, in my 'iPhoto faces' whenever I click the cross in the corner of the face (when sorting faces) the face temporarily disappears, but once I have uploaded a fresh batch of photos (and want to identify new faces) it automatically re-identifies the old photos that I don't want to have to sort again. How can I stop iPhoto from reidentifying faces I have already 'crossed', while still being able to identify and sort new faces.

How do I identify the people in my new photos without clicking 'find faces'. I know that button searches through my photos to find faces, but it also gets me to the place where I identify the faces as my friends and family, is there a shortcut to get to that place without clicking 'find faces'? Actually, I did notice the thread age. However, this phenomenon only appeared with mu phone in the last week.

This post has already been answered. Why are you plugging your own site with an answer that has already been given? Not to mention that the information you are handing out is incorrect. There is no bug, there is no patch, and no one needs to delete any email addresses. If you take the time to read the posts with the correct answers, you will see that the solution is totally different than the erroneous one you have posted.
