It should be sent to the email adddress you associated with the Apple ID when you set it up.  Apparently it can take up to 48 hrs.  This is from Apple:
I didn't receive a verification email (within 48 hours).
Sign in with your Apple ID account and resend the notification. Search all of your mail folders for any emails coming from 'apple.com'.

  • How long does it take to receive email receipts for App Store purchases?

    I've been using iTunes for awhile but only recently got an iPhone.  Whenever I've purchased music from iTunes I would usually get an email receipt same day or next day.  I purchased my first iPhone app from the App Store five days ago but still have not received an email receipt (email address is correct and I checked spam folder).  Is this normal?  I'm kind of a stickler about keeping records for my credit card purchases and would like to have a receipt for all purchases.  I read somewhere an email is sent every $20 spent or every 12 hours, whichever comes first.  I've made other app purchases since then but not $20 worth.  But since it's been five days since my first purchase, something has to be wrong, no?  Additionally, is there a way to find and print receipts?  I know you can go to 'purchase history' in iTunes and do a screen grab, but if I have to do that for each purchase here on out, that will be depressing.  Also it's not much of a receipt since it doesn't show which credit card was used.

    Well wouldn't you know it?  I received the email receipt tonight!  Only took a full 5 days.  Of course it comes right after I posted this question...  I guess the 12 hours thing is bunked--maybe only when it comes to app purchases--but at least they sent it.

    I tried phoning them today but it said something about being iPhone only hotline. I am busy all week so I will just go into the store with my receipt next week-end to see them I guess.
    I did get the education discount and they took my student card so they must have just forgotten the app store card. Hopefully they will be ok with it...

    I apologize for any confusion. When you set up a Rescue Email address for your Apple ID, all future security emails (such as verification emails) will be sent to that email address. You may find the following article helpful:

If you have an existing Apple ID that you use with the iTunes Store or Mac App Store, you may be asked to provide some additional security information, including a rescue email address.     Has anyone received an answer to this? It seems that a lot of us are having the same issue. In the past i had no trouble receiving emails to reset my password but for the past week I havne't been able to login, my security questions didn't work and I haven't received any of the emails to reset my password. I've created a new Account but would rather  get into my old account because it's linked to my perfered email address. Hum..

  • For the 2nd day my iPhone 5 will not let me download updates for apps.  When i click update, it acts as if it is going to update but puts all apps in "waiting" status.  I've tried selecting each, as well as deleting and re-downloading but to no avail.

    Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
    First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
    Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
    When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

    If you aren't receiving the email to your rescue email account (and you've checked the spam folder on it as well as the inbox) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.

    I'm liking the app store and the ability to download apps quickly and efficiently. However, I'm not able to edit spotlight comments for downloaded apps. I've tested editing spotlight comments for my regular assortment of apps that were not downloaded from the App store and didn't have a problem. Nor did I have a problem editing spotlight comments for regular files. I've just been locked out of editing app store apps. The permissions for App Store Apps appear to be set identically to other apps I have. I'm wondering if this has something to do with the built in update process for these apps, and now they are locked out for any modification by end users? Anyone else have this problem, or know of a workaround?

    Unlocking the application and adding the privilege allowed me to edit the spotlight comment.
    Bad:
    After updating the application (Sparrow Mail for my example), I'm in a worse spot.
    I changed the privileges again, and unlocked the application.
    I can not edit the comment.
    Spotlight is not finding the comment.
    Reindexing Spotlight
    Still not finding it.
    Anyone have suggestions on this one?

    Perhaps the reason why you didn't receive an email confirmation is that may have misspelled your email address. Do you mean "icould" or "icloud"?
