i just bought this i phone 4 today now when i unlock the phone a voice comes on and i can not put my passcode in. what do i do
By any chance are you pressing the side edge convenience key at the same time, which activates the camera?
If so, you can change that button to do nothing in your Options > Screen/Keyboard > Convenience keys

I listen to my iPod Classic at work and it kept cutting off today out of nowhere and this hasn't happened before. I have it in my pocket so I have the HOLD button in the lock position so the wheel won't get pressed while in my pocket. I figured it died on me but I had just charged it last night so I took it out and unlocked the HOLD button. Well, the music immediately came back on. It happened a few more times and i figured maybe it was the song or something so I changed albums and it kept happening. Every time it would cut off, I'd unlock the HOLD button and it'd come back on every time, almost like it was paused or something. Has anyone experienced this? if so, how do I fix it? I really don't want to buy a new iPod since I have little money because of school, bills, and photography/film equipment. Help? thanks.
I'm having a hard time finding an answer to this too. This is what is going on. Sometimes the iPod (iPod Classic 160GB) does not "like" the songs I've downloaded from cds. Sometimes it does. I think it always plays whatever songs I've purchased on iTunes though. The other day I synced it to add two new cds and somehow the iPod was wiped clean--no songs, no pictures, nothing. I did a reset and the songs came back but now these problems:
1. The song will play for a few seconds then it either skips to the next song.
2. The song won't play, just skips to the next song.
3. Everything just stops, the iPod is still 'on' but won't play anything.
4. Right now it's playing an Aimee Mann album that I downloaded but it wouldn't play the Joni Mitchell album just before. Is the iPod making a comment on my taste in music?
Flipping the lock back and forth helps sometimes, but not always.
I bought this device less than two years ago; I really hope it's not permanently messed up. Should I just go to the Apple Store (please I beg of you, don't make me!) and throw myself at their mercy?

Sounds like a hardware issue. Bring the phone to Apple for evaluation.

Strange issue found on my Iphone 6 Plus: the the first picture i take or movie i shoot when i unlock my phone is always upside down. After the first picture, everything is correct. If i'm opening the camera after another app, i don't have any issue. Only if using the camera when the phone is still locked or if it's the first app used after unlocking.
I'm not in "zoom mode", and i started my Iphone as a new device, not importing any data from my previous Iphone.
A part from that: best phone ever !Get a replacement nanoSIM from Rogers and see if this helps.

The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart... Reset... Restore from Backup... Restore as New...

To unlock an iPhone yoiu must go to the carrier and requesrt that they unlock it.

I am having the problem when trying to take a panorama picture.
It may only take the first frame or doesn't even start at all when I press the shutter button.
even though when i hold the phone straight up and down, so that camera is at the top on the back and the home button is on the bottom on the front.
This problem is irritating me....?To take panorama
- ensure that the panorama option is on
- press the shutter button once
- you will see a line with an arrow
- move around in a circle ( I keep the camera steady and turn myself around in a circle)
- as you do this you will see the arrow moving across the screen as it captures pictures
- at the end of the capture, you will be able to see your panorama picture

My Iphone has family emails that appear randomly when I try to update apps or generally have to log into my account. It comes up as my sister in laws address. She was once connected to our account when she got her phone at first. How can I remove? There are only two other email address's associated with my account and hers was never one of them! (When she synced with your computer it may have transferred this app to your library. It was subsequently synced to your phone.) The only way to stop the prompt for her ID is to delete these apps from your phone and your iTunes library and repurchase them using your Apple ID.

The device is locked to Verizon wireless not a Russian cell provider.
You can use Verizon here in the states. Get a Verizon Sim.
In out of the country use, pop in that Sim and it should work. However Verizon does not unlock for use in the USA.
And you must be a Verizon customer to get it unlocked to use in other countries. Apple claims it will work in other countries.

My I phone is frozen and I can't get it to work. I have tried to restore it several times and nothing happens. All it does is show the iTunes logo with the plug and arrow. Is there anything I can do to get it to work I am in sales and need my phone. The closest Apple store is 45 minutes away

MaryTry to force your phone into recovery mode. Disconnect it from the computer's USB cord. Turn it off if you can by holding the sleep/wake switch until you see the red slide to off. If you can't turn it off, please continue. Press and hold the home button while plugging it into the computer's USB cord. Continue holding the Home button while iPhone starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo. Return it for a refund, if you can. Otherwise, sell it to someone that can use it on Sprint's network in the US.
Fact is, Sprint will only unlock the sim slot for customers using the phone on their network...obviously not you. Sorry, but you wasted your money. -
When I plug in iPhone (5.1.1) to computer, playlists show up on the iPhone (when plugged in), that do not appear when it is not plugged in. And I can't erase them. I have iTunes match, and deleted all my music on the iPhone, but that had no effect on the phantom playlist that shows up on the PC when I plug in the iPhone to the PC. I cannot manually move songs or playlists from the PC to the iPhone
