Well, I'm going to go scour the internet for a while and see what kind of tools I can find. I'll come back with a solution eventually, but this is something that apple needs to take care of. To date, the most frightening and inconvinient processes ever performed with apple products are the iTunes sync and upgrade processes. I find it wrong that I would ever have to void my own warranty to deal with something so simple and so common.
Don't get me wrong, I love apple, more than anything, but this is their one big mess up. I pray they figure it out soon.

As stated, completely exit pst (don't just leave the app) and then activate airplane mode. Then open PST and change your cloud sync option to "off". Once you deactivate airplane mode, you should be able to open PST again without the crash. Iirc, I had to work at opening PST and accessing my settings very quickly or it would still crash before opening the settings page. Unfortunately, we have to completely forget about cloud sync until the bug is fixed. Save any image files back to the ios camera roll to share with other apps or upload elsewhere.

You can usually just tap and hold on certain things to access the right-click menu. It works in almost all cases. :)

For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices.
That all works.
It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now. They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.

How? I could find no active link associated with the Customer Reviews section once I had located the item for which I wanted to write a review.

Certainly, the Apple website and associated instructions have become, for this long-time user, more akin to Microsoft Windows in their impenetrable lack of intuitive, user-friendly ccharacter.

I have been having this issue for months, now--at least 3-4. I updated my credit card info on my account, thinking maybe that would do it, but NOPE--can't review a single thing I've ever purchased in iTunes--not from my iPhone 5, PC or iPad 2. You can only create iCloud account on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) running iOS 5 or higher, or on a Mac running OS X Lion (10.7.5) or higher. You do this by going to Settings>iCloud (on an iOS device) or System Preferences>iCloud (on a Mac) and signing in with your Apple ID.
Once you create your account you will then be able to sign into the account using the ID on your PC.

I don't think such a feature exists within iBooks Author but it is a feature within ePub.
So if you are viewing ePub books on an iPad the pages turn but if you are looking at books made with iBooks Author it is a page sliding.
I will stand to be corrected here but I hope this helps some what.

You can't. But it's still the same dock area as before, just not transparent with a physical-looking "shelf" as iOS 6 had.

It can be used to transfer pictures between IOS devices. I recently got one from Amazon and it allows me to quickly and conveniently transfer pictures between my partner's and my iPhones and iPads.
