HT1694 How do I upload attachments to email?

I'm trying to attach a document from PDF lite to an email and can nontrivial work out to upload attachments on hotmail mobile or via mail. Help!

If you are using PDF Reader Lite app then there are instructions here for how to select a PDF in it and email it via the Mail app : emailing PDFs.

Often, pictures or simple documents (eg, one-page PDFs) will appear directly within the message itself. You can also use the Quick Look button next to the attachments line (in the message header) to view and scroll through the files (provided they're viewable, and aren't compressed or binary files).
You can also click Save next to Quick Look to save the files to your Downloads folder.

The thing to remember is that iOS email attachments start with the document itself, not from the Mail app.
    1. Select the thing you want to send in an app that handles it, (for example a Photo might be sent from Photos, a PDF from GoodReader etc.)
    2. Then tap the "share" button (which I see others have kindly posted screenshots for) and create an email containing that attachment.

  • E51: How not to receive attachments in email?

    Hi,
I can't find anywhere how to disable attachments in emails!
I just want to receive the text. I can't believe it's not possible
If I put maximum mail size to, let's say 2kb, it still downloads the larger attachments...
    Headers only doesn't work too.
    Is that normal?
    Thanks in advance,

    Go to Solution.

There are other e-mail progs like Profimail and Emoze whitch can be customized much better. I prefere Profimail. There is a trial version for 28 days on the net. Emoze is free.

How can I open attachments in email

Are you sure that the attachment file type is a supported file? Can you open the attachment on your computer?
If the answer to both questions is yes - try quitting the mail app completely and restart the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

  • HT1694 How can I send videos via email (hotmail) that are 55 seconds or more?

Hotmail is supposed to have a 10MB limit and my videos are only coming to 5MB. But I can send a video that is 54 seconds long, but 55 seconds won't send. I also tried sending it through a gmail account and it wouldn't work either. Any advice? I'm using a iphone4. Thank you!

When sending an email the largest size of any file or collection of files is 20MB. A 720p HD video recording from your iPhone 4 for 55 seconds probably hits about 20MB (or just under). There isn't a way to increase the email sizing limit, however there are other alternatives such as Microsoft SkyDrive (Free), DropBox (free) and Google Drive (free) which will let you upload and share your files (like you would with email, only slightly different).
If you have a Hotmail/MSN account, you already have SkyDrive and it's easy to setup and use. Just visit: https://skydrive.live.com and sign in using your Hotmail/MSN account.
If you have Gmail (or blogger, or other Google service including YouTube) you can enable and start using Google Drive easily also, just visit: https://drive.google.com/start
If have neither a Google or Microsoft acount, and have no interest in creating an account with either of them, try DropBox. Found here: https://www.dropbox.com

So, let's say I send an unprotected mp3 in an email to a friend's iPhone.
Is it possible to move that file into the "library" of her phone (so she could, say, add it to a playlist) within the operation of the iPhone?
    No.
If not, what do we consider the easiest &/or most efficient method of getting it there?
Put it in your iTunes library on your computer, then sync it to the iPhone.

  • MobileMe: failure to upload attachments to emails. Safari works why not Firefox?

L/Mouse on Slide Clip icon opens up Finder to select file to attach but the file does not upload. No "timer" icon appears on reload of email and no file is attached when email sent. Type and size of file makes no difference.

JKELLETT, That initially happen to me also. When you go to dolinsky296's suggested website https://www.google.com/earth/explore/products/plugin.html I saw "Download plug-in" box in the middle of the globe. When I click it the download executed but the plug-in never got installed. Then I clicked on "Download Google Earth" in the ''upper right corner'' of the website and life was good. Google Earth now works in Firefox.

  • How to delete the attachments of several ancient emails simultaneously?

In order to diminish the space used by Thunderbird, I'd like to delete the attachments, without deleting the email. How to do this for 50 emails all together? I only found a way to do it one by one, email after email, which takes much time… Thank you!

Thunderbirds add-ons are platform neutral, so of course it works on OSX. You may however have tried to install it in Firefox which tells you bad things about not installing.

Unless you believe middle-click is yours and don't like it being usurped, mine is set globally to "Enter".

  • Email attachments from SSRS email subscription are not being uploaded to an email enabled SharePoint 2013 document library

Email attachments from SSRS email subscription are not being uploaded to an email enabled SharePoint 2013 document library.
I have tested the library using a standard email (with attachment) to the library and this works fine.
I have monitored the drop folder on the server and I can see both emails being picked up in drop and processed by SharePoint.  The email sent from a regular email account is uploaded with the attachment, whereas the email sent via SSRS subscription
email is uploaded and the attachment (report) is missing.

An update on this.  The email when sending from SSRS subscription is received in the library and the attachment is contained within the .EML file uploaded.
The behaviour that I would like from SSRS subscription emails are to just have the document and not the email.
Below is a snippet of the .EML files I quick copied from the Drop folder.

    Rapidshare
    Transfer Big Files
