HT1694 why do I keep getting password incorrect when I know it is. I get a message unable to connect to server.
I've attempted numerous times to sign on to my hotmail account. It keeps telling me the password is incorrect. I also get a message connection to server failed. Everything else connects fine, except my email. Could I possibly be locked out due to the numerous attempts I have made to log on?
It sounds as if your account has been compromised. I would recommend logging into those accounts from your computer and their websites and changing your password.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try the following.
Go to Settings > iCloud > Delete Account (This removes your data from your device, but not from your account, it will be added back later).
Restart the device.
Sign in again (Settings > iCloud, don't use the 'Create New Apple ID' button). -
In the icloud settings, I am told I need to accept the terms and conditions to use icloud. However, when I click on "Terms and conditions", I get a message "unable to connect to server". This has been happening for a week now since I upgraded to iOS 7.06. There is no problem with my wifi or cellular connectivity, all other applications work perfectly. P.S.I have never used icloud before, but wish to do so now. How do I overcome this problem?
Have you turned the iPad off then back on? That often helps with problems.

I have uninstalled Chrome and now cannot access the internet via Firefox.If the printer is WPS capable.. most wireless printers are.. please us the WPS method.
Open the airport utility and highlight your TC..
Then go to the top menu area... and select WPS.
This will open another menu area. I recommend you select first attempt.
Then select WPS connection in the printer and attempt to connect.. you have 60sec to connect.. after which any attempt will fail. -
On my Iphone4 3G, which I have upgraded to 6.0, and, have had many issues but this is my main concern: Everytime I go to Safari (or dif. sites) I get msge that reads "cannot connect to server", today it upgraded to "that msge plus this "the internet is offline". How do I get it back online?

when i try to connect my ipod touch to my wireless network, its keeps saying the password is incorrect-this has been ongoing for several months now even though it used to connect when I first bought the ipod-is there anyway to reset the password?
All devices should automatically reestablish a connection after power cycling the router.
Also try resetting your iPod. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

When I open my apple mail I keep getting password incorrect but it is correct !
I have tried deleting the account and then adding it again which worked last time !
I have changed the password on googlemail settings etc but still get the same messages.
The same messages are appearing on my ipad and iphone mail all runing on the latest ios etc
how can i resolve this issue ?I had given up trying to sort out my Apple mail / Gmail problem after contacting apple care and Gmail webbsite.
Thought I would try deleting the account and then re installing it as I had donee many times in the past three days.
This time it just installed the Gmail account no problems !!!! Its all working fine now.

Updating Snow Leopard won't help. You need to Upgrade OS X to Lion or higher if your system will support it. First check to see if your system meets the system requirements to upgrade.
Lion system requirements are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space

If you can run Mavericks, you can download a free upgrade from the Mac App Store. My new Macbook won't connect to my wifi network - it keeps saying "password incorrect" - but I've tested it on my phone and works fine, I've checked the password I enter is correct digit for digit - what could the problem be?
you need to open the keychain access located in your utilities folder in the applications and once in the keychain on the left side click on the words system at the top and in the lower section click on passwords
next look in the striped area for any passwords that say airport network password next to kind and highlight those and hit delete on the keyboard to remove them from the keychain.
once you remove all of these airport passwords, quit the keychain
turn wifi off then back on, select your wifi network from the list and enter the password telling it to save to keychain this should resolve your issue! -
Password incorrect when restoring from backup
I have restored my iPhone last night. After that I was trying to restore from backup, but iTunes keep asking me for password. I did not set any password for the backup before this. I have tried all the possible passwords but it keeps showing password incorrect! How can I solve this?
First, reboot your computer. Sometimes the request for a password is mistaken and rebooting will clear it. Then connect the phone and click on its name in iTunes. Is "Encrypt backup" checked? If it is then at some time in the past (and it could have been 6 years ago if you had an iPhone then) the box was checked and a password was entered. Or you have a corporate MS Exchange email account and your IT Administrator required that the backup be encrypted.
Either way you have to figure out the password. Try unchecking "encrypt backup". It will prompt for a password. Make an educated guess. It is a password that you have used at some time in the past. (Unchecking the box is a faster way of guessing than trying to restore.)
There is no other way to restore that backup, unless you have maintained iCloud backups. These do not require or allow passwords, because they are already encrypted with your Apple ID password.
If you are desperate there is a commercial product that can break SOME backup passwords if they are not too strong. Visit elcomsoft.com for more information. This tool is intended for law enforcement use, and is priced accordingly, however, they have a trial version that will give you the first two characters of the password.
