HT1695 I am not able to update the calendar app or reminder app. There is no ability to update and siri is also unable to set a reminder or update the calendar. This is a new phone.
I am not able to update my calendar or reminders. I've looked at other iPhones and they have a + button to allow you to update. How do I fix this. Also, Siri also does not update the reminders or calendar.

Earlier iOS apps are becoming increasingly difficult to find. You may want to look at VintApps, new in the Apple app store, that makes this much easier.

Be sure to backup your current apps on earlier devices. Once the vendor updates them past your maximum iOS, they can not be downloaded again.

I have just purchased the iPhone 5s and my previous phone was backed up on iCloud. However when I restored this on my new phone my photos are still being restored after 4 days. Shows the amount there but no pictures? Is there anything I can do to get them back as my other phone has now been cleared. Many users have lost photos while preforming a restore from backup or upgrading the iOS. Recall, only photos in the camera roll are backed up to iCloud. There is a way to turn backups for camera roll on/off, perhaps these users had camera roll turned off.

IMPORTANT...
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album) or using photo stream. If using Photo stream, but sure to move the received photos to a permanent album. If you have been doing that, then you can sync those photos back to your device.
Or, you can find other apps in the app store that send camera roll photos to a service like Dropbox.
If you haven't been saving photos except relying on iCloud to store them in a backup, then that is risky, as many users have discovered. I'm afraid I have no advice in this case - there is no "cure". -

Are you trying to change the Apple ID associated with your iCloud account? If so, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID. This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account. To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll. -

I bought in a galaxy note 3 in January. I signed up for a month to month contract. I was offered a free iphone5c with a 2yr contract. My daughter in law needed a new phone so I took the offer. Unfortunately she broke the phone and gave it back to me. In the meantime I decided to upgrade my phone since I signed up for a 2yr contract I figured I might as well get a new phone. I got the lgg3 for free with a2yr contract and with that I was offered the LG tablet for free for 10$month with a 2 yr contract also. I am not happy with Verizon at all. The fees, service and even my lgg3 device. I wanted to know what would be the cheapest was to end this contract. I should have thought about the agreement before I signed I know. I just want out. I have just updated my iPad2 with iOS 6.3.1. and now I am unable to access my home network. The Wi-Fi icon in the status bar is not shown.
Under settings, Wi-Fi it shows my network name and under the Wi- Fi menu, chose a Network it shows it is searching for my network by name and continues to run and run without finding the network.
Prior to updating to iOs 6.3.1 my system worked perfectly.

I want to order files (e.g., photos) in a particular order (not necessarily an order that is an option in MacOS. Ie, my own custom order, and I want them STAY in that order until I change the order. Is this possible?
Custom sort order is not a typical option in the list view of any desktop computing systems I know of. The way you're seeing it work is also how it works in Windows and other systems.
There is no "None" sort order. What you're seeing is a "None" option under "Arrange By." Arranging is not the same as sorting; arranging is how the files are grouped in the window. For example, you can arrange (group) files by Kind while sorting by Name. You'll notice that if you are in List view and you choose Arrange By "None," in the window there is still a sort triangle next to the column name that it's sorting by.
If Arrange is set to None, the files appear in one big group (the traditional view) that is controlled by the Sort order (where there is no None option).
I didn't even know the difference between Sort and Arrange until I saw your question and did a little research! This Macworld article helped:

As for your main question, how to do a custom sort order in the Finder, you can only rearrange files manually in Icon view. As with other operating systems, if you want to create a custom sort order for photos there are other ways:
Use a photo organizer application like iPhoto or Lightroom. Some let you have custom sort orders in folders, but others only let you have a custom sort inside a different container like an "album" or "collection". Having those additional container types is part of why photos are often best managed in an organizer application and not on the desktop.
Rename the files. You can use a renaming utility program to rename the photos with numbers that will enforce your sort order when sorted by name on the desktop, like

What the ****? I don't remember my **** security answers and I just put $35 on my iTunes account and I am not able to buy anything! I'm so mad! If you don't have a rescue email address, or you don't know what it is (you won't be able to add/view it until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

Why is that when I downloaded the iOS 7 for my iphone 5 that it changed my send and receive for imessages to a random number but my SMS messages are still linked to my phone number?
I just encountered this problem for the first time and stumbled upon this forum to find a solution. I played around with it a bit and it seems that if you slide your finger from the bottom up, you will come upon that new screen that will allow you to do various functions with your phone (put it in airport mode, lock, etc.), you can select your Airport from this screen and play your music wirelessly from your phone; at least this was my experience. That problem isn't related to Private Browsing specifically, that's how Firefox works with regards to multiple "sessions" with the same server - only one logon is allowed at any time. Try using one of these extensions to be able to run multiple session cookies.

i downloaded the latest update ios 7.0.4 and update my iphone 5, but to my surprise i couldnt locate the downloaded file on itunes and i've also checked my itunes folder, still cant see the file. pls anybody who can help.
The downloaded file is probably stored at C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates. In general it is probably best to "download and install" updates than download and then install later. Note that you cannot revert to the older firmware if you don't like the update, even if you have the old .ipsw files.

When I synch my ipod touch it only lets 50 videos get on ipod . I can't get the other videos on even though there's plenty of space available and it's set to synch all movies. What am I missing?
i had the same problem. did a lot of research..my phone became unusuable. do you use the htc mail? if so that is your problem. there is a bug with it that it keeps eating your memory until you cannot use your phone. i had to do a hard reset. back to factory condition..not happy! but then went to the marketplace and got k-9 mail. that is now my default mail program. i have not had any issues since then. this is what i kept reading over and over for complaints on this phone. it is a major glitch and the only way, as of the time it happened to me, to fix it..

- IBM SPSS Statistics 18 and 19 releases are supported on Apple Macintosh OS 10.5 (Leopard) and 10.6 (Snow Leopard) with Intel processor.
- IBM SPSS Statistics 20 release is supported on Apple Macintosh OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and 10.7 (Lion) with Intel processor.
- The IBM SPSS Statistics versions 18 and 19 are not supported on Mac OS 10.7 (Lion).
THIS MEANS THAT TO USE LION ONE FIRST HAS TO UPGRADE TO SPSS STATISTICS 20.Whilst the 2012-02-15 edition of IBM's matrix does not mention Lion, a few users have noted that:
• 18.0 can be troublesome
