i updated my 3gs to ios6 and it said no sim and wouldnt activate anyway iv got the phone to come on it still says no sim and i cannot connect to any wifi can anyone please help

it wont activate and iv tried every different sim but none seem to work it was unlocked before the update now i dont know wat networks its on

Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data, but a reset can cure some glitches.
If this does not work, try to set it up as new device, explained in this article:
How to back up your data and set up as a new device
Don't use the backup afterwards, to rule out a software problem. If the camera is working again, restore from the backup.

You copy them from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer.
The iphone is not a backup/storage device.

I cannot get the contacts on my iPhone 5 onto my iMac. I have spent ages on the phone to support and they do not seem to be able to help. If i put a new contact into the contacts on my iMac, it goes to iCloud but it does not do this when i input a new contact onto my iPhone. i have checked and all software is up to date. All the accounts are the same for iPhone, iCloud and iMac (all registered on same email address.) Am planning on using the iMac for business purposes and really don't fancy manually inputting 200 new contacts!!! Please help

KiltedTim- Yes, I have encountered an activation lock. The Apple ID should be the one that I use when I go into itunes but that one is not working. I even tried the Apple email/id I got when I first bought the phone years ago and that didn't work either. It is asking me for an id that ends in @me.com and I have NO IDEA what this is or how to get it to "shift focus" onto one of the id's I do know.
Does that make things clearer?

Nope. Tethering isn't an option until iPhone 4. My wife has the 3GS and not an option. Sorry. you need to update your phone, but wait a few months for the iPhone 5 or discounted iPhone 4S.

I just got an Iphone and I am trying to get my Itunes music as my ringtone. I already got an app and made a ringtone. I even got the tones tab to appear in my Itunes library. I cannot however get a tones tab to appear on my Iphone sync area. Also I cannot get any of my ringtones into the tones folder. They are no longer than 30 seconds so that is not the problem. Does this app not provide a video on how to sync it with itunes and then sync it to your phone.
If you have transfer the ringtone to your computer, play the ringtone - then it should move to your tones folder in itunes. Just make sure when you play the ringtone it's plays in itunes.

On 25th JUNE I synched my ipone 3 gs to my PC with Outlook in Windows 7.
All the voice memos that I had recorded using the iphone app where backed up and appeared on my itunes voice memos BUT all the NOTES written on my iphone NOTEs app where not synched to notes in Outlook on my PC…in fact…. all the notes that I had entered into my iphone were GONE and the notes that appeared on the iphone where the same that were on my PC back in 27th Jan 2012…..so all the notes that I had entered into the iphone from January to June were gone…..NOT happy Jan!!

Terminology check here. Do you really mean a "CD"? There's a difference in Cloud behavior between content from a physical CD you ripped (which only has Cloud content if you have iTunes Match) and an "album" you bought from the iTunes Store.

The above can get pretty complicated. You are probably best off by syncing both devices to a single library and/or updating the libraries on both computers to have the same content.

Hi Go to settings Reset Network Settings After Reset you need to enter your Router wireless key Before you do this turn off your Router for 30 seconds Also an option is to go on Websites for your make of Router look for any Firmware updates but you can do this later. Cheers Brian
