Is this happening with one particular network or with all? Make sure iOS is updated on the device.
Try this:
Reboot ipad by pressing and holding both the home and sleep/wake buttons at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go. Then try to connect to network.
Go to settings, Toggle airplane mode on/off. Make sure bluetooth is off. Turn on wif (airplane mode off). Try to connect.
Reset Network Settings
Go to settings/general/reset/reset network settings. Then try to connect to network.
If its your home router, then reboot router by unplugging for 5-10min. (do this while you're resetting network settings).
If problem persists, then check for firmware updates on your router.(you check router manufacturer support website for downloads and instructions).

Yhey,im wondering if there is any way to track down or finf ipod touch 4th gen. through the serial number?
No, the only way to track it is "Find My iPhone". And the app has to be installed and activated before your device is lost.

Can i get my 4th gen ipod touch serial number in itunes
hello i have recently lost my iPod touch 4th generation and never had the "find my iPod" app installed i also threw all my packaging away so i cant get it off the barcode i have the iPod registered to this account is there any way apple can locate my iPod if it is connected to the Internet or plugged into a computer please help i really want my iPod back
iPod: How to find the serial number
Also, if yougo to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and hover the mouse pointer over the iPod backup the SN will pop up in a box.
Apple will not help locate or block your iPod. Change the passwords for all accounbts used on the iPod and report it to the police. The SN will only help identify your iPod if it is fond. Se:

Will it be possible to retrieve a Lightroom 5 serial number if you lost it and was not registered on Adobe? But I have the number on the inside box of Lightroom 5 only?
Refer to this webpage for the locations of various LR files, paying attention to the one that says Serial Number:
http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/preference-file-locations-lightroom-41.html
Go to the folder it says, and open the .lrreg file with a text editor, like Notepad or Wordpad, and look for the serial number that will be 6 groups of 4 digits beginning with 1160. Don’t post the serial-number here, of course, as this is a public forum.
If you have had more than one LR version on your computer, e.g. LR3 or LR4, there may be more than one serial number to determine, as you’ll need an older serial-number if your LR5 one is an upgrade. -
iPad wont let me unlock on main screen tried everything from a hard restart, to a factory reset with itunes but nothing still wont let me unlock from main screen. Any more ideas would be great with problem.
iPad 4th gen ios 8.1.2 or 8.1.3 not sure since i cant tell if i took after i factory reset it was on 8.1.2 before the issue. If the touchscreen is not responding, and it appears that you have already tried to restore. If that didn't help, then you are going to have to get it looked at. You can double-check troubleshooting here If the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond to touch - Apple Support but if that does not work, then you need to make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service provider, whichever applies to your location.

No wifi connection on new iPad 4th gen
Help please ive just bought the ipad 4th gen and it wont connect to any wifi networks, im unable to complete the setup because of this. Ive tried different networks and still nothing.I have also tried reseting it but nothing same thing keeps happening, is this common with the new ipads because i have the first one and have never had any trouble connecting to wifi
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Ipad 4th Gen not working at all
Hi
I have an iPad 4th Generation WI-FI and I got it less than 2 years ago and now it doesn't work at all. I will explain a bit more about what happened to it in more detail below. So I was taking photos with it and after I was done I turned it off or as Apple call it "sleep", well I pressed the power button in other words like everyone does, right? Then in the evening I went to go on it and it was blank and wouldn't respond but in the morning it had about 30% battery but anyway it put it on charge using the Apple adaptor and I let it charge for like 30min but when it was charging it kept on showing the Apple logo every 20 seconds but wouldn't go past it. So when I took it off charge I tried holding the Power and Home buttons at the same time for about 20 sec and after about 3 to 4 tries it showed the restore iPad sign with the Lightning cable and the iTunes logo on top of it, so I plugged it into my computer and iTunes poped up and said something like:
iPad 4th Gen detected the device needs to be restored. (By the way my laptop is Win7 and had the latest iTunes on it) So I clicked the restore button and it said EXTRACTING SOFTWARE and after that the line stopped moving and a window came up saying: Unkown Error 4005 and 4013 and it took me to the Apple website and I did all the steps they told me to do and it didn't work and kept on saying the error thing. So I took it to an Apple store and the guy there said he waz restoring it and downloading new software for it and it ended up not workin for him either, but he told me there is nothing to do cause the 1 year warranty expired. Anyway now it doesn't show anything at all not even the restore logo, the apple logo nothing it completely blank and Ive had it on charge for like 2 hours. And I haven't dropped it or anything it doesn't have any physical damage or that. So yeah what should I do? Any suggestions will be appreciatedHi Try this Connect USB lead to pc hold down power button on iPad connect Lead To iPad still hold button down Wait to see if pc sees iPad keep button down for upto 1 Minute. If that doesn't work make An Appointment at Apple Store. Cheers Brian

Want to use my iPad (4th gen) to edit a movie using iMovie - easy enough if the movie file is on the iPad - but what if it's too large - can I keep the source file on a USB stick or external USB hard drive and edit from there? How can you do this?
You can't export any type of file using the camera connection kit, so a USB flash drive or SD card won't work.
There are some wireless external hard drives that can be used with the iPad.
The Kingston Wi-Drive, which costs $50 for the 16 Gigabyte, and then $30 more for every 16 gigs more. It works by you turning it on and then accessing the files on it from an app that you download on your iDevice. You can access music, movies, and other stuff. No connections or anything, it works like a WiFi connection, you connect to it from the setting on the iPad under wireless networks.
Then there is the Seagate GoFlex, which some would recommend over the Wi-Drive. But this one costs $199 and had 500 Gigabytes of storage. It works the sameway as the Kingston: no wires, runs over its wireless connection. You can actually fit up to 300 HD movies on it.
Another option:
Expand your iPad's storage capacity with HyperDrive

Hi,
I have a problem with Laserjet 100 color MFP M175nw and Airprinting.
Ipad(4th gen) cannot connect to printer for AirPrinting.
Wireless Direct is set on in the printer.
When I choose to connect to printers own wifi network with my Ipad, it can't connect.
(Ipad doesn't show the wifi symbol on top left corner.)
And if I try to print with Safari, it says "AirPrint-tulostimia ei löytynyt" which means in english "No Airprint-printers found".
I have all installations by the guide book several times, but seems that this Airprint simple doesn't work.
Device Configuration show this:
Installed Personalities and Options
PCL6 (20040201)
AirPrint
PCL (20040201)
PDF (20040201)
PS (20040201)
I wonder why AirPrint has empty value? (what ever this might mean)
Br,
HeikkiHi,
Thank you for your reply and first action plan to find a quick fix.
Unfortunatelly even though I disabled IPv6, it didn't fix the problem. Also reboot and WIFI restart has been tryed sevelar times without any help. Ipad Safari is still giving me a message "no airprint printer found".
Same problem also when I try to print so that both Ipad and printer are connected to my home WLAN/DSL-router.
I don't see any problems for the printer to connect my home WLAN, both printer and Ipad has received an IP address from the WLAN router.
My router model is Zyxel AMG1202-T10B.
Ipad is updated to it's latest SW version which is 7.0.6. and printer's firmware date is 20131028.
I have no problems printing with my Windows 7 desktop computer which is connected to same network as well.
Windows 7 PC is connected to router via Ethernet. Printer is connected to router via Wireless, not ethernet.
Here is the network settings from HP Device Toolbox:

How do I get my email address recently changed on my account in iTunes on my MacBook Pro to show up on the sign-on notice on my iPad (4th gen)? It reflects my old email address and therefore won't recognize my password. When I try to do something on the App Store on my iPad, it brings up a notice to sign on, which reflects the old email address, and rejects my password since the username/email address is no longer correct. Puzzled!
I have another question for the community. My daughter tells me that my texts to her show my primary email address as the account name of the sender (me) when I text her, rather than my cell phone number from which I'm texting her. I've had others report that to me too. How do I turn that off so that recipients see my cell phone number displayed as the sending party and not my email address? Thanks -

What does MM stand for in the ipad mini and ipad 4th gen description (wifi+cellular) ?
I think it must stand for "made of money" because this 4th generation ipad model 1460 is the most expensive.

Why is the FaceTime ring so low on the iPad 4th gen? I could barely hear it when it rings. I tell my friends to text me first so I wii know
Are you also using the same Apple ID for FaceTime, as listed under Settings > FaceTime?
If so, don't. While it's perfectly okay to share an Apple ID for iTunes & App Store, you shouldn't share an Apple ID with another person for the following:
iCloud
FaceTime
Messages
Use a unique personal Apple ID. Whoever is the actual owner of the current Apple ID needs to keep using that. The other person needs to make their own Apple ID, and use that for iCloud, FaceTime & Messages. Maybe even Game Center to be on the safe side. -
My ipad 4th gen touch screen is not working in one area
I had a screen replacement and now the Ipad 4th gen touch screen is not working in one area ( a strip across the middle). We tried 3 different touch screens with digitizer...any ideas?
Since Apple doesn't replace screens, they replace the iPad, I presume you had your screen replaced by an unauthorized service provider or perhaps you replaced it yourself. That voids the warranty and the ability to get assistance from Apple. If someone else replaced your screen take it back to them and demand the correct the problem.

IPad 4th gen won't charge?
I have recently got an iPad 4th gen (3 with lightning charger).
Last night I was on youtube watching videos, when suddenly the screen went black.
I plugged it into the wall, pressed the on switch.. it turned on and it was 1%.
So I let it charge overnight (12:45am - 11:30am)
I go down to see it and its STILL on 1%
I use the plug (12WATT) that was provided in the box, and also the cable provided
both seem to be working fine as it says my iPad is charging due to the lightning symbol in the corner next to the percentage..
but my iPad will not budge past 1%
I have tried the power button and home button reset... twice and it hasn't worked either time.
Does anyone have any ideas why?
And what should I do, because I really need to use it..?
Update : I plugged it into my laptop and it now says 'Not Charging' in the top right hand corner?Hi Moll.x,
If you are having difficulties charging your iPad, you may want to follow the directions listed in this article -
iPhone and iPod touch: Charging the battery
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1476
Note that the article title says iPhone & iPod touch but the same steps are relevant to the iPad -
If your battery doesn't charge, or if your device shows a low-battery image, black screen, or "accessory not supported" alert, follow these steps.
Inspect the connector at the bottom of the phone:
Make sure that there are no bent pins in the connector.
Make sure that the connector is free from debris.
If there are bent pins or debris, please contact Apple Support.
Otherwise, continue troubleshooting.
Make sure that the outlet you're using works.
Make sure that the Apple USB cable and Apple USB power adapter work.
Plug the device in to power and let it charge until your device turns on. This could take between 10 and 30 minutes. If you don't have an Apple USB power adapter, try connecting to a computer's high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be on.
If the device still exhibits an issue, try turning your device off and then on again while connected to power.
If the issue persists, please contact Apple Support.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Best,
Brett L -
