We have just purchase our first ipod touch and have spend the past hour trying to get it activated, we go thru all the on screen procedures and still cannot activated it.
How do we activate our ipod thru itunes
Yes we are first time users
Yes we hate anything to do with computer, blackberry, ipods
Please help us all we want to do is download our favourite music onto our new ipod touch
Stick it in the new BOSE dock we also purchased
Listen to our music
Can't anything connected to a computer, internet be simple!!!!!!!!!
By ''wifi system'' you mean wifi router right? Ok check if your wifi is fitered which means it can only be accessed by mac address entered into the system. i have this. to activate via itunes all you need to do is plug it in with the usb cable it came with to one of your computer's usb ports and make sure you got itunes 10.5 and up to use it. the ipod touch activating screen should come up and insert your info and click cont. and your done.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Either enter a credit card or
Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.

I'm having same problem with new iPad Mini. My public library that I connect with suggested that maybe I have too many devices (only allowed 6) attached to the Adobe ID, even though this is not the error message I'm getting. In fact, I generally don't get an error message at all, I login to OverDrive, then try and authorize my Adobe ID, which then takes me back to the OverDrive login window, and repeat. I must have tried about 20 times by now. My next step will be to contact Adobe Live Support and have them reset all my devices, just in case that's what the problem actually is.

New iMac 27" and cannot get it to mount a new LaCie thunderbolt drive. Any suggestions?
My new iMac 27" finally arrived and seemed to be working fine,until today when I received, from Apple Store, a LaCie d2, 3TB drive. Connected the Thunderbolt cables and powered it up. Rapidly flashing blue light on the drive but it does not mount on the desktop and does not show in the system report. Could be a bad drive or.........
All help appreciated.Can you see the drive in the System Report or Disk Utility?
One thing I read was that you need to do is to shut down, and unplug everything, your iMac, the Thunderbolt drive, everything. Then reconnect, and start up the iMac. Seems to cure everything.
If not, return the drive to the Apple store, and see if that fixes it. If that doesn't fix it, then return the iMac within the 14 day no questions asked return period and get a new one. You'll have to move fast. -

I don't believe the "Apple MacBook Air SuperDrive" is advertised to work with anything except a MacBook Air or a Mac Mini.

I'm not sure I believe that it is just a software issue, or a "what is Apple willing to test and support?" one. At the very end of the page, someone reported seeing "Extra Operating Current (mA): 600" in a USB device tree report.
I think this drive can draw more than the standard amount of power for a USB port. The USB ports on the MacBook Air (and now on the versions of the Mini that lack internal optical drives) have probably been designed with that in mind. The USB ports on the other Macs may only be supplying standard amounts of power, which might (educated guess) be insufficient for some operations (like burning DVDs). -

Hi. I have a MacBook Pro with OS10.6.8 and cannot get internet pages to load on my WiFi network at home. My iMac, iPhone and iPad all work on this network. It is connected to the net as dropbox registers a connection and so does skype. I can connect to the WiFi in work and on other networks when travelling. However, some other networks are now starting to fail. Can anyone suggets how I can fix it, as the MBP appears to be fine, its updated with all the latest versions of software and the WiFi network is also fine....just not with my MBP??

Currently have ipod touch 4 and am getting iphone 5c this weekend. Currently our family has several apple devices and they have the same apple ID for itunes and it is the same ID that we use for icloud. I want to set up a separate icloud ID so that it is only on my new device. I still want to keep the same apple ID for purchases. Can I do this and better yet when do I do this...before the purchase, after the purchase and backing up of data. Where do I go to create a new one?
