My wife's i-pad 3 was just downloaded with the latest iOS6 and she's now unable to join our wifi network at home.  Can anyone help?

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

    Hello
Today my Iphone  unable to see any wifi network.
I tried to solve the problem in several ways.
    1. reset neteaork definitions.  -> did not solve the problem
    2. reset location and privecy  -> did not solve the problem.
    3. reset all definitions            ->  did not solve the problem.
Doses any one has any idea that can help?

The only other option I can think of is to try a Reset All Settings reset.  You won't lose anything, but your phone's settings will ALL be set back to factory default.
If this doesn't work you could try to do a restore through iTunes and set your phone up as new.  If that doesn't work, you may have a hardware problem and will need to take the phone in to an Apple store to have it checked out.

  • HT1695 Can't Find any wifi Networks after updragding to 6.0.1

My iPhone 4 can't find any wifi networks after upgrading to iOS 6.0.1 and i can't downgrade what should i do ?
I swtiched off  the connection from mobile and restared the router and nothing changed!
Note: My laptop found about 7 Networks my iphone finds nothing

I have the exact same problem.
It popped up on my 8gb iPhone (2.0.1) first time when i just purchased it. The Wheel spins as if it's searching for hotspots (and there are a lot of hotspots where i live). My MacbookPro finds them without any problems.
Second time i experienced these problems, it was after i didn't have a chance to charge the phone, and i figured it was a "Low battery, disable wifi" thing. But even though i charged it fully, it still can't scan networks.
I managed to discharge the battery, until the 10% warning popped up. I connected the charger, and sure enough, it was able to scan networks. Then when i tried to join a network, it stopped working again, and since then i've been unable to scan wifi. Now 3 resets, and a lot of fiddling later, i'm no further than i was before.
The fact that it was able to scan momentarily points me in the direction of the software, but i'm not so sure anymore.
Hope someone can shed some light on this.

  • Unable to join certain wifi networks

I have a 64GB 5S on iOS 8.1 and over the past several months I've noticed that I can't join some wifi networks. I have no problem with the type that prompt for a password, but if there's a browser window opened and I have to agree to terms (usually seen on store networks like Publix, Lowe's, etc.) the page just won't load. So I'm now completely unable to join these networks. I usually get an error message eventually about the request timing out. I don't have issues with any other unauthenticated or simple password-protected networks.
I've looked and I haven't seen anyone report quite this issue. I noticed it before the iOS 8 updates, so I don't think that's the culprit. I've tried turning the wifi off and on with no avail. I really hoping not to have to do a restore or anything like that on the off chance it will fix the issue, but at this point I'm open to suggestions.

I'm guessing these retail establishments require a login page to access their Wi-Fi? For ones that require a login, if it does not open automatically, opening a new tab in Safari has always created the prompt for me. You can try some troubleshooting, but it appears this has been going on for some time. You can try going to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network settings and see if that helps. If not, then you can try a restore, or make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple Store to have the hardware checked.

Does the iPod connect or even see other networks?

  • I have an iPhone4 that I just upgraded to iOS6 and now I am unable to join my wifi network.

Every time I try to join, it automatically takes me to a page that at the top says "Log In", but it says that this page cannot be found. My only option is to click the cancel button in the upper right hand corner. Which then just makes it so that I have not joined my wifi.
I have tried forgetting the network. restarting my phone, and then trying to rejoin the network. But that hasn't worked either.
    What can I do?

Joel, that is correct...the Digital Milenium Copyright Act has been interpreted such that jailbreaking a smart phone is illegal as it is a copyright infringement punishable by a fine of $2,500 per phone for an individual or up to $500,000 for an organized jailbreaking activity.  This went into effect January 26, 2013.

  • Unable to join my wifi network

It has been working good the last 10 months until this past week. The modem is working and my netgear router is working properly but my imac and my iPod touch cannot connect to my network.  I have even disabled the password to join still no luck. So far i have reloaded the router software and updated its firmware. Other people have tried to join my network with their devices and they are unable to join as well. Not sure what to do next can anyone help me out?
    Thanks,
    Tony

If you have reset the router to its factory defaults and nothing can connect through it, then it's not working.

Reboot your router to reset the app in it that assigns IP addresses. Remove all power from it for about 15 seconds to accomplish this.
