As long as they are still available in the store then you can re-download apps for free, and music can also be re-downloaded in a number of countries (plus tv shows in some countries, and films in fewer) : re-downloading. If you aren't in a country where music can be re-downloaded then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

You will need to use third-party software to transfer music from your phone to the iTunes Library. I recommend Phone to Mac - Pod to Mac | Macroplant.com.

  • My hard drive crashed and I have lost my Itunes library. How can I get my the music that I loaded from my own CDs back on my PC from my iPod?

My hard drived crashed in my HP Pavilion desktop and I have installed a new one. I have Windows 2007. My Itunes library is gone. How can I get all the music that I loaded onto my iPod from my own CD's back into an Itunes library?

The loading of audio files to iPod is designed to go one way only: computer to iPod. There are some third-party applications available which will rescue an audio library and write the files back to a PC HDD. The playlists might not copy, nor the album art work, nor videos but you might be able to recover all audio files. Some apps are open source and available for free download, for example: Senuti, Onyx. There are others which are  Windows-based; do a Google search to find out.

  • How can i get my purchased music that was under another user name

how can i get my purcchased music that I purchased under anorhe user name.  I just lost all of my music!

You will need to sign into the iTunes Store using that other Apple ID and password. Then you can re-download the content via the Purchased link.
    Regards.

  • Had to buy new computer can i get my purchased music back?

My first laptop broke and it is the motherboard so i bought a new one and i cant get the itunes store to put my purchased music into my music on itunes.

It is your responsibility to keep up with your purchases.
Do you not back up your info/music/pics?
    You should always do this.
From the terms of sale of Itunes Store:
"PRODUCTS CAN ONLY BE DOWNLOADED ONCE; AFTER BEING DOWNLOADED, THEY CANNOT BE REPLACED IF LOST FOR ANY REASON. YOU SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR BACKING UP YOUR OWN SYSTEM"

  • After purchasing music from itunes on to my iphone i lost my phone before backing it up on to my computer how can i get my purchased music back from i tunes on to my phone again

  • Can't get my purchased music.

Ok, so I reinstalled windows a while back and when I synced my ipod to the newly downloaded itunes, I chose to sync to this new library, as I hadn't yet replaced all my new music etc, and let it sync. It didn't give me my purchased game though, just ones in the music library I had from CDs. No big deal I thought, as I had only one game purchased, and It was starting to get old, so I didn't worry about it. Next time I reinstalled though (just recently), the same thing happened but it was with albums and songs I had purchased since last reinstall as well as the game. I only had a few of my purchased songs and games on my ipod then, and that's all it gave me. I went to store -> check for available downloads, and it says I have everything. I went to purchase history and it's there, but with no download link or anything. I submitted a ticket to support using the feature in purchase history:
"All of my purchases from 8/12/08 to 5/19/09 are now unable to be downloaded to my machine after I reinstalled windows. I went to store -> check for available downloads, and it only downloaded purchases from 5/19 on, because they were already on my ipod. They were the only ones on my ipod because I've had this problem before and couldn't get my old songs then either. Please get me my purchases."
    Now, the weird part:
At 10:27 pm (hotmail time) I get an email saying:
Your request for a refund for "Collide" was carefully considered; however, according to the iTunes Store Terms of Sale, all purchases made on the iTunes Store are ineligible for refund. This policy matches Apple's refund policies and provides protection for copyrighted materials.
I didn't ask for a refund! I just want my music...
The weird part is that AFTER that, 11:30 PM the same day(hotmail time) I get this:
Thank you for contacting the iTunes Store. This is an automated reply, but an iTunes representative is reviewing your request and will send you a personal response soon (generally within 24 hours). Meanwhile, you may find the following articles helpful. They address several common customer questions.
    (then the links)
So they denied my request for a "refund" and THEN say they will get to me in 24 hours.
It's been more than 24 hours and there has been no response.
What should I do to get my music back?

Sorry, but officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items other than iPhone/iPod touch applications (though not all of those). You get only a single download per purchase; the "Check for Available Downloads" only works for tracks that were not successfully downloaded once already. It's your responsibility to make backup copies in case something goes wrong with your system, as unfortunately it apparently did in your case, and you lose all the information on your hard drive. The official statement of their policy can be found here, among other places. If your hard drive was erased and you don't have a backup of your purchased items, and don't have them on an iPod, you're probably out of luck and will need to repurchase your tracks.

  • I forgot to back up my ipod and when I updated it last night it reseted all my music and apps to factory default. Is there anyway I can regain all my purchased music and apps even though I haven't backed anything up?

Last night I decided that I would go and update my ipod for the first time to the latest version of the system. I completely forgot that I still had not backed up any of my purchased music and apps and of course when the update was finished, I found that all my music and apps had been erased. Is there anyway I can get my music and apps back.

  • Old computer died - can only get recently purchased music on ipod nano

    Hi,
My old laptop packed in suddenly, had no back up, my fault.  I downloaded itunes on my new laptop and was happy to see that although cd's I had put on my old computer were gone, I still had music which I had purchased from itunes.  However, when plugging my ipod nano in (2nd generation), the only music which it gives me the option of putting on is music which I have recently purchased, using my new laptop.
On looking at a few other forums I thought I should restore my nano and then maybe I could transfer all music, not just the new items, but no.  Still only comes up with the 28 songs…even though in my itunes library I have several more.  So now I have next to no music as everything got deleted when I restored the nano.  I have clicked the “sync music” and “entire music library” to no avail.  Still only the recent songs.  Please help me.  I know I’ll have to put my cds back on (and will back up this time)..but surely I should be able to get the music I have already paid for through itunes?
Any help appreciated, hope this is enough info,
    Cheers
    KC

Got the info from this link (also pasted the answer for you directly below): http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60920#faq5
Question: I have a computer at home and one at work. Can I update my iPod music collection from more than one computer?
Answer: Yes. When you first connect iPod to your computer, iPod recognizes that computer as its "home" computer. Each time you connect, iPod automatically downloads the music library stored on it. When you connect iPod to a different computer, iTunes will inform you that iPod is linked to a different iTunes library and will ask whether you wish to erase iPod's contents and sync with the new computer's library. If you will be connecting to multiple computers frequently, configure your iPod to manually manage music. This will allow you to selectively drag songs, albums, or playlists from the second computer to your iPod without compromising the existing music.
Synchronization generally occurs only in one direction, from your computer to your iPod. This means you typically cannot transfer music, automatically or manually, from your iPod to a computer, and you cannot use iPod to copy a music library from one computer to another. An exception to this is the transfer purchases feature which allows you to restore purchased iTunes content to your computer from your iPod. Additionally, if you legally are allowed to copy music or other media files, you can configure your iPod as a storage drive to move media files.

  • HT201272 I can't get my purchased music in my Itunes and Iphone 4

    Hey there,
I can't get some of my puchased music to my iphone 4, call me for support.
    Thanks,

Yes I am looking in the app store. When I look in Itunes on my computer and look at purchased apps it is there. And when I go on my other device and look at apps purchased all apps are there.
The new ipad doesn't show any apps purchased when I click on apps purchased and when I search the app store it doesn't show it is purchased. I am wondering if I am just missing something...need to turn something on in options or something. Never had this problem with previous ipad when I set it up.

  • How can I get my purchased music to play again?

I recently updated my iPod 4g to the newest version of software. everything has showed up EXCEPT my purchased music. It is shown in my music and in iTunes, but it won't play. Instead, it will skip to the next playable song. Any solutions?

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • Can i get my purchased music on a new pc?

I've recently gotten a new computer, and want to put my purchased music on the new itunes on that new computer.
is there a way to do this?

Make sure you deauthorise your purchased music in iTunes first, unless you intend to use your old PC for playing music. I couldn't because my old PC is broken, and now I used up 2 of the 5 machine limit.
The method I used was to buy a Belkin easy transfer cable (XP to Vista version in my case) and follow the instructions. You need to install the supplied Software on your old machine before you try it. Run the Easy transfer utility in Vista (assuming thats your new OS)

  • Can't get a purchased song to play on iPhone?

When I hit play, it just skips over it and plays the next song. I can't even delete the song and try to reload it. Any ideas? And yes, I made sure my phone/computer were authorized for iTunes Match.

Other people have been having similar problems with songs over a number of days, I assume that there has been a problem with Apple's servers.
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting those icomplete tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those songs and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

  • How can I recover lost purchases. I updated my iphone and did't back up my information and lost everything. Please Help me.

I updated my iPhone and forgot to backup my information. I need to know how can I recover the apps and the music that I bought.

    No.
Any tracking program would have to be installed and activated before the iphone went missing.
    Sorry.

  • HT201272 I purchased some music on my iPod touch and want to download them to my iPad mini also but I can't get the purchased section to load at all anyone else had this problem?

Ok so I have an iPod touch 4th gen and I purchased some music on it. I also have an iPad mini and wanted to download it onto there also. Problem is that no matter how many times I try I can't get my purchased music section to load. I get the big at the top where you can select all or not on this iPad and the alphabet down the left hand side and the little loading thingy appears but nothing ever actually loads no matter how long I wait. It also sometimes just crashes the whole thing and kicks me out the app. Any suggestions? I've tried turning device on and off, it has the latest software iOS 7 and I've tried resetting all the settings already also as well as logging in and out of my Apple ID.
