How large is the film ? It's size should be on its decription page in the store. The current 'top film' here in the UK is 5.12 gig in HD format.

Why do I get the error message "iTunes Match could not be updated because you were disconnected from the network during processing." I'm on the internet during all of this. What disconnect is the message referring to? Itunes is frozen now. I keep clicking OK but it just comes back with no action.

iTunes Match needs a network connection to work, either Wi-Fi, cellular or wired. See the following:
Make sure you have an active Internet connection
Be sure your computer or device has an active Internet connection by loading a webpage using Safari or another web browser.
On an iOS device with cellular support, if you are not on a Wi-Fi network, try enabling 3G cellular data1 for iTunes Match.
For iOS 6, tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Use Cellular Data > On
For iOS 5.1.1 or earlier, tap Settings > iTunes & App Store > Use Cellular Data > On

Rented movie does not download

I paid for a movie rental on iTunes. The movie shows up as a download, but I get an error message when I try to download.

The fact that I logged into an apple.com site fooled me to believe that this was a 'report a problem' site.
I since found the 'report a problem' link.
Wasn't easy to find (could not find it on my apple TV or iPad) had to:
log into iTunes via laptop, and then
click on iTunes Store (right top);
click on account (quick link or at bottom);
select "see all' next to purchase history;
click on small arrow next to 'problem' purchase (movie rental for me);
click on 'report a problem' (at bottom);
click on 'report a problem again (now inside the purchase details) - redirect to browse
fill in details, and
submit.
As you can see quite a long process.
The long process and my missed movie night were the frustrating parts.
The reponse from Apple Customer Support was swift and extremely good - makes up for the frustration.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

Dear apple. You've done it again. You ruined our movie night. Rented movie, got all ready to start watching. Now the movie does not download. Wrong on your Sid as Internet works (100Mbps) and other content/trailers download swiftly.
I am extremely ****** of that this happened again. I have lost the past hour trying various things and now finding a way to get my money back.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

Lightroom 5.2 CC will not download after deleting Lightroom 5.2 from my machine

Prior to signing up for Abobe CC Photoshop and Light room Package I had downoaded and updated my destop computer based Lightroom 5 to 5.2. Subsequently, I decided to register for the CC PS and LR package offer. After registering for the clould based products I received the CC download home screen and selected PS,BR, and LR for installation. PS amd BR loaded as the CC product; however the LR product simply said up to date and showed no CC. A response to this question in Lightroom Killer Tips indicated that PC computer-based LR 5.2 needed to be uninstalled prior to donloading/install LR 5.2 CC. After making a copy of my machine based LR 5.2, I uninstalled the program and rebooted the machine. I then again invoked the CC APP window and attempted to download LR 5.2 CC. Once again the CC App window indicated the LR app was up to date but did not download/install the LR 5.2 CC version.
I like the PS-LR CC concept, but I don't want to be paying for an app that I cannot install and operate.

Reinstall the original 5.2 and forget the CC version for now. It's exactly the same piece of software. What you did get was a second license, useful if you have more than two machines, but completely redundant if you haven't.
The situation is different when Lr 6 comes out. You'll get that as part of CC and don't need to purchase the upgrade. So at that point you can just install CC and leave 5.x where it is.

Rented films won't download....

They were stuck and I released them but now if I go to iTunes it tells me they are already rented and they are not on my download queue anymore - any ideas.

I've been searching this forum to find a solution to my error 403 problem I kept getting when I try to download music I purchased on iTunes.
If you are running McAfee Security Center, click on the link below, then go down to "solutions." Add those two items to your Privacy Service "Allow List," and see if it solves this problem for you.
I was so aggravated before I found this solution. Hope it helps someone else, too!

HT1725 Error (-54) There was a problem downloading...an unknown error occurred (-54)

I ordered a movie. The downloads began and were taking so long, I decided to stop the Standard Def download and let the HD go on. After the HD finished the DL, I tried beginning the download of the other incompleted movie and got the message in this subject line.
I deleted the movie and now can't find it. When I chose the $14.95 download, the Standard Def movie was offered automatically for iPhone use. Now I can't find the SD movie to try downloading again.

You should always have and keep an up to date backup.
Sounds like you need something a little stronger than Disk Utility. At this point I have no way of knowing if Disk Warrior can or will help.
Depends..!
If you do format and install, then Yes it will.
If you reinstall OS X, then No it will not.
Problem is that according to the Disk Utility message, I don't think that you will be able to install either 10.6 or 10.8.
Those are very good questions. The only bad questions are the ones you have to ask yourself.
