HT1725 Has anyone been experiencing downloading and updating issues today with iTunes and app store?
Tried to download a few songs and some downloaded and then others stopped, authentication issues with songs for a computer that is already authenticated to play these songs, updates in the mac store not going through or completing.
Lots of people. I wasted half a day yeasterday working out all the fixes and none of them worked for me. I just returned hoping that Apple got their act together and figured out the fix. Right now I can open my itunes or connect my ipod. I'm starting to get really angry.

After doing a software update for iPhoto, some of the photos in my library appear distorted and stretched. I have tried repairing the library, rebuliding and repairing the thumbnails but they are still distorted. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?
What upgrade did you apply? As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

I have tried to order a photo book. Both times it uploaded images etc and then after payment details a message pops up saying this album couldn't be processed. Please try again. Has anyone else experienced this? Can the photo books be printed in store?

Firefox is known to work well with the download manager when other browers fail. -
I have several songs in my ITunes library that show as ineligible to be uploaded to ICloud via Match, even though most of them were purchased through the ITunes Store. Has anyone else experienced this and figured out why?
I had the exact same issue!! Seriously p*ssed me off when I checked out my ITunes purchased items (via my computer) and noticed that most of the additional tracks listed on my IPhone playlist was listed there too. However, I never authorized any purchases!! (I have actually written Apple Support asking for a full refund of all tracks listed on my purchased list)
Be careful when you swipe your finger to the left/right on those "additional" tracks on your IPhone playlist... I'm pretty sure that the cloud symbol is an option to download or automatically buy those tracks.
Solution for the problem:
1 - go to your IPhone settings
2 - choose "iTunes & App Store"
3 - go to "Show All" & "Music"
4 - turn off "Music" by moving the bar to the left (it should be a white color once you turn it off)

I upgraded my operating system to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and now my Lexmark X4875 will not print wirelessly and neither Apple, Lexmark or Belkin can work out why. Has anyone else experienced this and knows what to do? Thanks

Has anyone been able to sync new i-phone with a 2004 Volvo XC 90 with dealer installed bluetooth. New software download says it is now discoverable but pairing failed.
Is "NILESH" the name of your computer or perhaps the name of your iPhone? What are you trying to achieve by connecting your iPhone to your PC via Bluetooth?
Only certain Bluetooth profiles are supported by the iPhone, the list of supported profiles is listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647
If you are attempting to use another profile then an unsupported message is to be expected. -
Has anyone been able to upload an ibooks file with audio only files (m4a) in it? I keep getting the following error message during the upload in iTunes Producer: ERROR ITMS-9000: "Files of type audio/x-m4a are not allowed outside of widgets. then it names the file as an m4p file. Everything works beautifully on the iPad through Preview, and validates through iTunes Producer up until the attempted upload. If you've been able to accomplish this, please let me know how you prepared your audio files. Many thanks.

Today I received the same error that you all have been discussing. I tried selecting the DRM
and this did not work for me, though I'm glad it did for some. Here's what I did as a work-around. . .
Since iBooks Author did not have a problem with Videos, I simply used one of my video programs, ScreenFlow to turn the audio into a video file m4v. I added an image and extended the length or timing of the image to span the length of the audio file. Then exported as an .mov. I then opened QuickTime and opened the file and exported the file to iTunes.
You can use iMovie, Camtasia or any other progam that will allow you to export the audio as a movie file. Does this make sense? I hope this helps, at least in the short-term.

Has anyone been able to link all their contacts with their Facebook info?
I just got my first iPhone and am seeing an issue: not all Facebook contacts are being synced; specifically, only 27 out of 254. I’ve been reading posts about this here, and it appears a good number of people are seeing this same problem, including a friend of mine with a 5S running iOS 7. It appears people are under the impression this is due to a change Facebook made, and that only contacts with specific info showing on their profiles will now be synced. I’ve done some testing, and it does at least appear that only Facebook contacts showing an email address on their timeline - other than their @facebook.com address – are synced to my iPhone. Thing is, Facebook contact sync works effortlessly and perfectly for all contacts both on my Windows Phone and on another friend’s old Android phone. It therefore appears this is either an Apple or an Apple combined with Facebook issue, and not a general issue with access to Facebook contact info. I’m primarily interested in fixing this so that each of my contacts show their Facebook profile photo (which also worked effortlessly and perfectly on my Windows Phone).
I’ve tried various potential solutions like adding Facebook emails to contacts, but nothing has worked so far. Has anyone been able to get this to work? If not, and this is a universal problem with iOS 7+ and Facebook, I’m surprised more people aren’t up in arms and reporting it to Apple and Facebook as something they’d like to see fixed?

http://www.facebook.com/help/suggestionsI had no issues activating my iPhone 4s. I just hooked it up to my computer and it did the rest. It was pretty easy and this was my first iPhone, I had the Motorola Droid 1 before that.
Although I was experiencing problems with calls going straight to Voicemail, even though I wasn't on the internet or doing anything on the phone, so I just got off the phone with Verizon and they had me punch in numbers to reprogram the phone and that seems to have done the trick (i hope).
I don't know if the above issue happened during the initial activation or if it was just a separate fluke, but there you go. You shouldn't experience any difficulties in setting up the phones.

I should add that I got my phone in NOV and so I'm not sure if something changed in the activation process that made it faulty. I'm just reading the thread about people having issues activating the phone over the holidays. -
Has anyone been experiencing problems with "Restore Purchases" after upgrading to iOS 7?
I've been having problems with restoring purchases on a majority of apps that I have previously downloaded and purchased IAPs. I've only successfully restored purchases on one app (Warhammer Quest); but other apps, such as "Legendary Heroes" (On which I spent $20 to unlock everything), no longer restore my purchases. Instead the "Restore Purchases" button prompts me to buy one "Remove ads" purchase. Some apps, such as Trinity Interactive's Tiny Legend Monster Crashers and Call of Mini Zombies do not have a "Restore Purchases" button at all. Has anyone else been having this problem? And even so, is this an issue with iOS 7 or just an incompatibility between the apps themselves and iOS 7? I've put way too much money into a bunch of these apps to have to repurchase everything all over again.
I would recommend using the SEARCH function of the forums and locating the many others posts that have already discussed this issue.

Yes, I'm on a mac. No telling where I ended up posting this. I don't usually use this type of support. Looks like it downloaded, and now when I try to install it (which I'm not even sure I should do, since I already have itunes on my mac), it says I need OS 10.6.8. I'm so confused.
Aaaaaah. You're on a Leopard system? Unfortunately, you'd need Snow leopard or higher to run 10.7.0.21 and your iPhone 5.
When you check in with the Apple Store folks, let them know what particular model of mac you have, so they can work out if it can run one of the newer operating systems (Snow Leopard or above). -

I want to download an app that is 1.87 gbs I have 4.1 gbs free but my ipad says I have no room how do I fix this
You fix it by creating more space. The app will expand when downloaded and the iOS will not let you use every bit of available storage on the iPad. So...the 4.1GB of free space just isn't enough to download the app. You will have to delete some content or you will not be able to download the app.

Has anyone been experiencing problems with the most recent update?
I have a Ipod Classic 160GB so you all know. Anyways it said today that it needed to be restored which I did that, but then it was unable to sync my music and now everytime I attempt to sync my music I get a message from windows asking if I would like to scan the disk (iPod) which it recommends. When I click on yes scan and fix windows and iTunes freezes and if I ignore the message from windows iTunes freezes anyways. I completely reinstalled iTunes after this originally happened, but the problem continues to persist.

Has anyone been experiencing the following problems with iPhone 5 using IOS 7.04.
1. My phone dies despite the battery showing about 28% and i then switch it back on and its fine.
2. The on/of switch sometimes works and sometime doesnt.
Went in to my local apple store to get help and i felt i was treated like they didnt care. They told me as i didnt get the phone from them and it was orange direct i had no come back as it was just over the year. However if i had purchased it through the shop i would have had a 2 yaer warrenty!!!!! I could have been dishonest and said yes, but thats not me. They told me they could sell me a reconditioned one for £209. As have been a very loyal customer to apple over the years and have several apple products in both my house and place of work and feel that they are not interested in customer service. They way i feel at the moment, this will be the last ever apple product i purchase and think i may go on to using Samsung!!!!
