HT1725 I downloaded a TV episode but only 30 seconds of it plays
I'm not sure if it accidently got cancelled while it was downloading, but only 30 seconds or so of it downloaded and I tried iTunes Store>Home>Purchased>Not in my library to download the rest, but it appears to have not worked on the episode in question...
Delete the episode from the iTunes library, allowing iTunes to move the video file to the Trash. Then download the episode again from the iTunes Store via this procedure:

That fixes the problem for many people. If problems with the episode persist, go here:
iTunes Support
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.

Hi, I tried to download a bunch of my favourite TV episodes. I was unable to get them all due to lack of storage. I increased my storage but the downloads didn't come. I tried deleting the already downloaded and viewed episodes but don't know how.

You need to delete some item on the iPad.
How much space is used by your Other? You may be able to reduce.

With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. I downloaded a tv episode but it doesnt have any sound to it. Any ideas? can i delete the episode and somehow download it again? it is a episode of a series that i bought a pass on.
... is this an episode of Sons of Anarchy? (Multiple reports that one episode on a season of that is not playing audio.)

The first thing to check would be your internet download speed, you can do this at www.speedtest.net.
HD movies require a recommended speed of 6 Mbps, while SD movies require a recommended speed of 2.5 Mbps.
Netflix movies are adaptive and vary their quality according to your connection and can be as low as 0.5 Mbps.
But remember lower datarates = lower quality. -

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

no, i had to leave so i logged out and when i opened itunes on my mac and went into the downloads tab it only had one paused download listed. i resumed the download for the one movie listed and the other one never showed up. its been about two weeks since i initially bought the two movies so i figured something was wrong.

I cannot find information to help me change the orientation of a video filmed in portrait format but it can only able to be played back lying on its side (landscape) instead of upright. All the rotation buttons for iPhoto are not 'engaged' when it is in video .

I tried the Export function but it would not allow me to choose the option of exporting to iMovie. I think you are right about needing Quicktime Pro. I opened iMovie and imported the clip from iPhoto and with some searching found the 'cropping, rotation' mechanism. So I now have a copy in the correct orientation. I plan to import/export it back to iPhoto because I want to have a copy on my iPhone to show people and I wanted to have it available as part of a slideshow I am making in iPhoto of my recent overseas trip. It is a pain that there is no simple orientating tool for the movie clips downloaded to iPhoto with the photos from the one camera. -
Downloaded some TV shows, but now iTunes won't play any of them
Okay, I downloaded a couple of episodes from Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends. They downloaded completely, I watched them do so, but they won't play, and whenever I try to play them, iTunes says that it has encountered a problem and needs to close. I tryed checking a few of my other TV shows, which all worked perfectly fine before, but now they won't play, and have the same response. Whenever I pull up the episodes in Quicktime, the screen either remains green and soundless, or it encounters the same problem, and shuts itself down. All my songs still play though. How do I fix this? Do I have to download the new version of iTunes before I can watch them?

You need to contact iTunes Customer Support.
I had the exact same problem and they gave me a full refund so I could download the movies again.
The cause is at Apple's end and you can't fix it from yours.
