I have purchased songs and they only play the first 8 seconds and go to the next song. I can't download it again, Itunes won't let me. How do I get the songs?

Try clicking on the Windows menu item then select downloads.

2) If I erase these files, can I download them again? I bought a movie I erase it to make space, but I went to the Itunes store again and it says I have to pay for it.
3) Can use ICloud to store my TV shows? and how is it done if possible?

You can move the files to an external drive. Delete the entry from your collection but don't let iTunes delete the file. Copy the file to the external, then drag to iTunes to add it again. Hold down the option key while doing this so the file doesn't get copied to the internal again.
Alternatively use: Dougscripts: Relocates selected files to a folder of your choice - http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/ss.php?sp=relocateselected - replaces "Move Files To Folder" to move files.
2) I wouldn't trust Apple or the media companies. They could decide tomorrow to not allow a second download and you'd be stuck. The media company could decide to pull an item from iTunes Store. You are the only person who can be relied upon to ensure you always have access to your media copies.

There should not be any reason you cannot download it, unless you are referring to not having a link in your account for it.

Considering the cost for a new current gen shuffle, I don't think it will be an economical repair. That USB connector is connected to a very thin ribbon cable that runs up the shuffle inside the case. If its USB connector came off and is lost, that means the ribbon cable got torn off. So the shuffle will need to be disassembled and a new part (USB connector with its ribbon cable) installed. And that's significant labor.

I've done it before. You'll need to acquire a broken iPod shuffle 1st gen, but one that has a working USB connector. That's the most common failure for these iPods, so make sure it is described as being recognized by the computer/iTunes or something like, "It works but the battery is dead."

You cannot redownload ringtones.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion. Have you failed to do this?

They will only be where you put them.

Hi & sorry to butt in it's just that I've got a similar problem with my iPhone4S, only my Restrictions are set to "OFF!" with a pass code barring & cannot remember password to turn them "ON" I can't afford to start my iPhone to an afresh state because my contacts etc are a valued part of my own run business,I would rather have "no Apps" than "no contacts" Please could u tell me...if I try your theory of: Settings > General > Reset Home Screen Layout...Would this return my Apps badge or not? or would I risk losing something else by doing so? Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.

Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
