I recently have downloaded a few new albums from iTunes. However, after I have listened to them, I realize there are some "blank spots" in the recordings... not sure why. Can I "re-download" the album/music again with paying again?

The advice you provided me helped download songs from the album that failed to download the first time. However, there are songs that I originally downloaded that have blank spots in the song... How can I re-download songs that have already been downloaded so they are "clean" .. i.e. the play straight through without blank spots in them. Can I do this without re-paying?

If you can't enter the passcode then you have to place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore the iPod via iTunes. For ecovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
Note that this requires using the sleep/wake button. If you are not successful then there is nothing else that I know you can do.

iBooks, as it says in the iTunes Store, are readable only on iOS devices; the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. They cannot be read on your computer.

I purchased an audio CD that I then imported into iTunes - I can find (and play) the new music from iTunes - however when I try and load it on my phone I can not see the new album as one that I can select in the music listings available for download.

It seems that recent additions to my iTunes library are not available for download to my (or my son's) iphone - other albums by the same artist are available.

Audiobooks (and ringtones) are currently a one-time only download from the store. Do you want to retry or be done." Each time I retry, the same thing happens. They will not download. I have restarted my phone and the same problem remains.

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting it from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

You're right, it would have been covered under warranty. But because of the user damage, chances are there's a 200-something dollar fee . If you explain to them that it had a defect previously, they might replace it for you at no charge. **MIGHT**. But they would have to believe that it had a defect previously.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

Does this only happen with the tracks you have downloaded from the iTunes Store? Perhaps you should work the suggestions in this Apple support document first.

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
