HT1725 song cuts out halfway through

I bought the smash complete season 2 soundtrack today, and one of the songs on it (the song i was actually wanting) cuts out after 1min 49secs.
I use winamp to play my music, but also it cuts out at the same spot when using other music players?
Is there any way i can re-download this song to get it complete? When i try though itunes it says its already on my computer.
Cheers
Stephen

Hello stephen9478
All you would need to do is delete the song from your iTunes library and then go to the iTunes Store and look in the Purchased section to download any previous purchased content. Check out the article below for more information about any previous purchases.

i recently purchase a song using itunes it shows it downloaded all the way but it cuts out halfway thorugh the song.
anyone know how to make it download the entire song?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

  • TS3297 Songs cut out halfway through, help please.

After purchasing Clutch's album 'Blast Tyrant' I noticed that half of the songs cut out mid-song. It is obvious that they are not meant to cut out where they are as I've heard most of them before. Anyone know how to resolve this?
I also had the same problem with another album I had purchased and downloaded on the same day.

Other people have been having similar problems with songs over a number of days.
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting those incomplete tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those songs and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

  • Some songs I downloaded didn't download fully, and when I play them they cut out halfway through.

I downloaded a couple of albums, where most of the songs don't last as long as the time listed, and they sound like they cut out halfway through. For example, a track that itunes says is 7 minutes actually only lasts for about 3. Dragging the songs into song editing software reveals the songs really are shorter then they should be, my ipod isn't just skipping ahead.
How do I go about getting the songs in full / restoring them?

That is usually the result of a downloading problem.  You can download fresh copies (at no charge) by following this guide:  iTunes 10 for Windows: Download previous purchases from the iTunes Store
In the unlikely event that the new copy has the same problem, it could be a defect in the store master file.  If that happens, you cannot correct it yourself, so report it to iTunes Customer Service.

  • MP3 audio cuts out halfway through song

Has anyone experienced this? Every MP3 that I import into Premier CS4 can only play halfway before the sound cuts out. Please help.
    My set up as follows:

    RAM 8GB
    AMD Phenom 9950 Quadcore 2.6GHz
    ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe
    C Drive Seagate 150GB

"...just converting that highly-compressed Audio to PCM/WAV 48KHz 16-bit is the next best course."
Bill...I'm having the same problem in CS4 with MP3's some of the time, not always.  Very annoying.  Sometimes it's on a different Audio track in the timeline and when I move it to another "sometimes" it works OK but mostly it doesn't.  It's about half way through.  As mentioned above, closing the project and reopening it seems to correct it, but it is a very annoying bug in the program.  Never once had it in CS2 (didn't have CS3).  This happens on all my areas on the workspace....timeline, source panel, etc.  Audio mixer shows it drops to 0 at the same point.  Yet when I play the audio clip in any other program it works just fine.
Could you explain how you would convert MP3 audio to PCM/WAV...step by step please.  Thanks very much.

  • Song cutting-out midway through error.

I have downloaded a song that stops abruptly about half way through. ( Only Human-Daniel Yount about the 1:19 mark)
Is this an iTunes error, has it been uploaded by the composer incorrectly or have I made a mistake?
Any ideas how this can be fixed?

I have this problem as well ... no rhyme or reason for it.
    Weird thing is this ...
On my PC iTunes and on my iPod Nano it does the same (cuts out mid way through the song), but on my iPhone 4S it plays fine.
    Please someone help!

  • TS1424 song cuts off halfway through?

I downloaded the album "Homes" from Jon & Roy and two songs show the time length of the song, but stop playing halfway through and skip right away to the next song.  Is anyone else having this problem with this album, or another album and know where to go for help? Thanks!

i use itunes to play music through my airport express but sometimes the songs cut out sporatically.  a song will be playing along then all of a sudden there is intermittant music and silence. What could be causing this?

I finally resolved my problem after spending way too much time on it. I simply handed my 160GB iPod to my husband to put his fav Stones & Beatles songs on and I went back to my 80GB Microsoft Zune which has never disappointed me.
After spending so much time trying to figure this out I did finally take it back to Apple Store who performed a diagnostic and found there was a problem with the device. They replaced it with a refurbished one which has similar issues. All I wanted to do was listen to my music. Was that too much to ask? So I am happy to be free of this problematic device. No more Apple for me!!

  • HT1725 When I download a song from iTunes into my library, it often says it has downloaded, charges me for it, and on the song in my library shows the full playing time. However, when I play the song, at around halfway through it skips to the next song?

    i'm just wondering:
    a) why it does this
and b) how to stop it doing this, because it still charges me for the song :/

  • I have downloaded a CD from iTunes onto my matchbook pro but the first three songs cut out after a few seconds? Help!

I have downloaded a CD from iTunes onto my Macbook pro but the first three songs cut out after a few seconds? Help!

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the current copies from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

Delete the problem song(s) from library including file(s). Then go to the iTunes Store and select "Purchased" from the Quick Links side bar on the right. Select Music tab to re-download again for free.

  • Songs cutting out in itunes and ipod

I just switched to a new computer with Vista and a quad core processor (not sure if that has any impact), and iTunes cuts off songs randomly as well as on my iPod. It doesn't matter if I ripped them from a CD or purchased via itunes. I've tried converting to ACC, but itunes will not let me.
    Any help would be appreiated.

I am having this same problem. I recently converted my iTunes library to a new Windows Vista PC. Song cuts out on iPod but not on iTunes. Apple store gave me a replacement unit fo the 30GB 5th generation and it still happens on the new unit. Also happens on my iPod Nano (new model).
