I have my library cloned to a small 1Tb USB drive which I can take between home & work. At either location I use SyncToy 2.1 to update the local copy with the external drive. Mac users should be able to find similar tools. I can open either of the local libraries or the one on the external drive and update the media content of my iPhone. The slight exception is Photos which normally connects to a specific folder on a specific machine, although that can easily be remapped to the current library if you create a "Photos" folder inside the iTunes Media folder so that syncing the iTunes folders keeps this up to date as well. I periodically sweep my library for new files & orphans with iTunes Folder Watch just in case I make changes at one location but then overwrite the library with a newer copy from the other. Again Mac users should be able to find similar tools.
As long as your media is organised within an iTunes Music or Tunes Media folder, in turn held inside the main iTunes folder that has your library files (whether or not you let iTunes keep the media folder organised) each library can access items at the same relative path from the library folder so the library can be at different drives/paths on different machines. This solution ensures I always have adequate backups of my library and I can update my devices whenever I can connect to the same build of iTunes.
When working with an iPhone earlier builds of iTunes would remove any file not physically present in the local library, even if there was an entry for it, making manual management practically redundant on the iPhone. This behaviour has been changed but it will still only permit manual management with a library that has the correct internal ID. If you don't want to sync your library between machines on a regular basis just copy the iTunes Library.itl file from the current "home" machine to any other you want to use, then clean out the library entires and import the local content you have on that box.

Pretty much, Yes.
If you wish to keep the formatting, notes, ratings, etc. that are with the library, you should allow the iTunes software to "discover" the library.
If the iTunes Library from one machine is placed on an external drive, the iTunes software on the other machine can be directed to the library of the external drive when connected.
Allowing "Copy to Home folder/music" will provide for copying of the library to the new machine.
Alternatively, if the library is loaded onto an iPod, the iPod can be used to transfer the music.

You could try signing out of your account on all devices and signing back in. On devices Settings > Store. In iTunes select iTunes Store in Side Bar and use the Quick Links on the right hand side.

I understand - sorry to have missed your point before now.
Some sites don't display those previews in safari - secure pages (https) for one, and also sites that are redirected.
Taking the example in your screenshot, the site http://fabulouslyartsy.blogspot.com/ actually redirects to http://www.fabulouslyartsy.com/ and Safari (rather annoyingly) doesn't 'follow' the redirection & show the appropriate preview. See the image below - the blank preview is for the blogspot address, and the one visible to the right is from going directly to the site.

Ive recently bought my wife and iPhone 4, and we have a shared library. But she clearly downloads her own apps and music choices direct from the store to her phone, so wants to maintain her own log in etc. How can I share the library in my iTunes on my log in on the same PC to her iTunes on her log I'm on the same PC. its windows Xp machine with latest itunes version.

When you say you have a shared library... you mean you have a networked external hard drive that you are sharing?
In iTunes, generally...when the term Shared Library is used, it's speaking to sharing a specific computer's library over the network with different computer.
I would think it would be better to do what ya'll have been doing (one log in acct/one computer) and have her create her own Apple acct and each of you log in and out whenever purchasing music apps etc. and then setup individual playlists and pick specific playlists to sync with each individual iPhone.

I like Thunderbird's native task manager. I do not use Google Tasks or any other 3rd party task manager. How can I keep my Thunderbird tasks in sync between 2 or more PCs? Unfortunately Google Tasks is not a very effective task manager.

Once in a while, Lpx says it needs to download Adittional Content. I allow to do so, and then it does.
After a while it's done. And now? I would love to see what's new! Does anyone know how?

How can I see my iCloud content online?

I have synced my Pictures library on my PC to the iCloud PhotoStream. Is there a way to see all my iCloud content in a web interface, like it's allowed by all other cloud services (such as Skydrive, Google Drive, SugarSync, Dropbox)? It's surprising to find that iCloud doesn't provide this simple feature that every other cloud service does.

The problem I have is that new iPhone photos (post iCloud setup) appear correctly in the PhotoStream folder on my PC, but the hundreds of older photos in my Camera Roll don't. That's my simple problem.

I can give you a Mac answer, but I'm not sure how the whole Photo Stream thing works in Windows.
On the Mac, you'd synch the photos from the phone to your computer and then move them to the Photo Stream in iPhoto.
I'm not sure how to do the same thing on Windows.

How can I AirPlay my iTunes content to a friend's ATV?

AirPlay works fine sharing content between my own iTunes library content and my own ATV . . . but when I take my laptop to my friend's house I cannot connect my content to her ATV to play my library content to her ATV via AirPlay. I successfully connect to her newtork but her ATV does not come up as an option, and in playback my content controls show no AirPlay icon in the playback control tool. Am I missing a step in connection or is this typical for ATVs? THX

Are both devices connected to the same network? This is a requirement for AirPlay to work. If you are connecting to a guest network, it is most likely kept seperate from the main network for security reasons.

I tried to share my itunes library with all the account holders in my house - basially to make an account for each iphone, and some how i messed it up and moved the whole library into the home folder?? it didnt work and i lost my entire library, but by messing about i have managed to create a second identical library.. but it now only plays some tracks all the way thriugh and others it stops near the end.. this has also moved onto my iphone 4s and also my iphone 3gs... can someone help me restore it back to the original settings???. Try booting to recovery and see if you can reinstall the OS:

Doing so depends upon the OS that was on the Mac before and what was done.
Otherwise you will need to boot from install disks.
