You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

2 The program has detected all the user names of Windows and asks which user name password is to be removed. Enter the ID number for the User Name.
3 The program asks to confirm weather to remove the password or not. Enter "y" (yes) to confirm your action and "n" (no) to deny the action and hit "Enter".
4 The program asks whether to continue to remove passwords for other accounts. Enter "y" to continue and "n" to finish. Eject your USB from your computer first and press any key to restart the computer from Windows. Now you can log in Windows with an empty password (with no password.), just click “Enter” when you login.
If you have any questions of the procedure and the settings, you could visit the website:http://www.resetwindowspassword.net or send email to [email protected].
Now you could see that to reset or recover the admin login password of windows OS: XP, Vista, Windows 7 or 2000 is not so difficult and you can do it with ease.

  • Is there a way to keep the screen from lighting up every time an email comes in, but still be able to see the email on the lock screen when you press the home button?

Is there a way to keep the screen from lighting up everytime an email comes in, but still be able to see the email on the lock screen when you press the home button?  This is killing my battery, but also is kinda the whole point of the notification center in my mind.

This is something I've been wondering. I am a bit like you, I like being able to have a glance at emails or Facebook updates without having to log in, and I think it would be great to be able to turn off the notification switching the screen on, especially for emails as I do get a lot, and Facebook, but I somehow doubt it is possible.
I am currently monitoring how much this eats up my battery charge. On a normal day, after an overnight charge, I would probably still have 30%-40% left when I leave work in the evening. Today, I was down to 48% by lunchtime, where I've usually got a good 60-70% left... Might have to turn email notifications off on lock screen until it's possible to have them appearing in the list without flashing me...

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

  • Lock screen will not accept password on iPhone and iPad.

I have an iPhone 4S and an iPad Mini that I use with corporate eMail which has enforced use of the lock screen with a secure password. Occasionally (it feels like at once every day)  when I go to unlock my iphone or ipad after the timeout has brought the lock screen up it will not let me enter the password.
The soft keyboard appears and the keys appear response to my touch however no letters appear in the password box. I have to power off and restart before entering the password.
It's driving me nuts, always happens when I'm in a rush. Any thoughts on what I can do to prevent it?

    Hello kennyred,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
Connect the device to the computer with which you normally sync and open iTunes.
Note: If iTunes asks you to enter the passcode, try another computer that you have synced with. Otherwise, go to "If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer" section below.
If the device is still disabled, or if iTunes does not automatically sync your device, sync the device with iTunes.
If you have chosen to encrypt your backup, it will contain the passcode. Disable backup encryption before restoring from backup. Learn more about iOS backups in iTunes.
When the backup and sync is complete, select Restore from Backup and choose the most recent backup of your device.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

    @ haiduc -
    1. Starting a new query ..
Select appropriate Board (Selecting 'E series and communicators' as far as the device goes..but more apt will be the 'Hardware' Board under 'Tips and Troubleshooting' in this particular case..) and then select 'New Message' ..
    2. The security code needs to be reset to the default 12345 which can only be done by Nokia Care in your region. A proof of ownership (Bill / Invoice) may be asked.

  • How to strictly lock screen in landscape mode by Agentry editor?

    Hi
I am using SSM 3.0, Agentry client v6.0.38.1.
How can I lock Android device screen in strictly landscape mode for our customized Agentry app through Agentry editor?
If I lock device screen in landscape mode then it will affect other applications too.
So is there any way to just lock the screen for particular Agentry application?
    Regards
    Prit

    Prit,
There is no setting in the Agentry to force the application to only landscape or only portrait.
However, you can through the Android branding process force the orientation.
After you unzip the SMPAgentryClientFramework-Android-6.0.38.x.zip, in the AgentryAndroidClientSolution folder there is a file AndroidManifest.xml
You will need to edit this file to add the following directive to the activity tags (12) in the file where the android:name starts with ".ui."
    android:screenOrientation="landscape"
Here is one example from my file.
    <activity android:name=".ui.screensets.OverlayScreenSetActivity"
                   android:configChanges="orientation|keyboardHidden"
                   android:theme="@style/AgentryActivityDialog"
                   android:screenOrientation="landscape"/>
After editing and saving the file simply build the branded client and when you launch the new client on the device it should automatically go into landscape mode no matter what orientation the device is in.

  • How to delete lock screen photo image from camera while retaining the default images?

    Hi,
I've recently took a picture using my camera and set it as a lock screen photo. However, I can't delete the custom lock screen photo after deleting my camera picture on my laptop. I would not know what will happen if I were to reset my entire system as I
have two separate accounts; one of the accounts is not a Microsoft account. If i were to reset my computer system, some of the applications might not be there as the laptop had a custom setting when I bought it.
How do I delete the cached photo in my computer?(The one without a Microsoft account)

    Hi,
Do we have any backup available?
If yes, we may consider to use system restore point to return to a state that could be able to change/delete the lock screen picture.
    Best regards
