HT1751 Cannot sync music from iPhone to iTunes

Loaded iTunes on a brand new laptop and used existing iPhone 5 to transfer all music, apps., etc. to new iTunes program. Much (not all) of my iPhone music is mysteriously missing from iTunes and does not seem to want to transfer over no matter what I do. Help.

I lost all titles from itunes when I upgraded to the new itunes. Apple allowed me to download them again (thanks Apple). You would have to use 3rd party programs. Try youtube, they would give you tutorials and the name of the program. There was one program I used but it deleted after I got all my music out my iphone.

You don't sync from one iphone to another.
You sync both to your computer.
All of your music should be on your computer. If it is not, then put it there.
You can then sync to any of your idevices you like.

Cannot play music from Iphone on iTunes

This is the setup:
I have a home PC that I use to sync / buy content on my Iphone. When I come to work, I have none of this data on the PC, but I want to play the content of my Iphone through my PC.
When I click on the iphone triangle and click music, the content is all grey and I cannot play (or double click to play).
How can I play this music on my Itunes?

I've had this problem for ages. You've inspired me to find a fix and I appear to have found one.
I manually sync my iphone at home (computer A) and I wanted to play songs on Computer B at work. The songs were all greyed out on Computer B.
Now, to get around this I have selected "Manually manage music and videos" from the sync options in iTunes.
I have no other options selected for sync options as I do actually want to manually manage music rather than sync it.
Now, when I click on "Music" from within itTunes --> iPhone it is no longer greyed and is playable through Computer A and Computer B.
Think that made sense, if not let me know

I cannot sync apps from Iphone to Itunes. Itunes says apps cannot be determined.

I have tried syncing my apps many times already and this first time Itunes says that apps cannot be determined. Has anybody else gotten this error messege on Itunes? If so how did you solve the problem withouth having to restore the iphone to factory setting?

About a year after the rest of the world, iTunes sent to my iPhone the U2 album that everyone else was force-fed and some other music too from a German radio station. I could not get music and videos from the computer to the iPad and vise versa although the computer apparently was backing up the iPad. After playing around with them a bit I finally got the two devices to share media again. i still get the message that the iPad and the computer cannot sync - now that i got them to start sharing again i'm not sure how them "not syncing" is going to affect me as yet.

any itunes purchased music can be transferred from phone to pc via hitting the "transfer purchases" option when u right click on the phone under devices in itunes on the computer when it is plugged in. any non-itunes purchased music is stuck on the phone and cannot be transferred to the computer. u will have to load it onto the computer from the original source or from the old computer.

With your iPad connected to your computer, select the music tab. Is "Sync Music" checked? If not, select the box, then choose either all content, or selected etc.. Keep in mind that you can only sync your iPad with one iTunes library at a time. Trying it from multiple notebooks lead me to assume that you don't have the Sync music option checked.

I definitely understand wanting to clean up your iTunes library. There are a few resources I recommend looking at.
Firstly, if you wanted to continue with your existing library, you can identify duplicates in iTunes following these steps:
Choose File > Display Duplicates to show duplicate items (matches are based on the song name and artist). If you have multiple versions of the same song (for example, live and studio versions, or versions from different albums) you can hold the Alt or Option key (for Mac OS X) or the Shift key (for Windows) and choose File > Display Exact Duplicates. This will show only duplicate songs having the same name, artist, and album.
If you are using iTunes 11 (the latest version of iTunes at this time), you will need to go to View>Show Duplicate Items (you can hold Alt or Option here as well to get the Show Exact Duplicate Items option). You can find the full article here:
