HT1751 Transfer Playlist on iPad to PC

wish to transfer my Playlist from my iPad (2) to my PC. I tried this with my iPod Touch & lost all my music, as the PC replaced the Playlist. How can I ensure this won't happen to my iPad?

  • Can I transfer playlists from my iPad to my new mac?

When I sync my iPad with my new mac I get a message that suggests that I can only transfer to the iPad from the mac.  I have playlists on my iPad that I would like to transfer onto my new mac.  Can this be done? And how?
    Thanks

You can transfer the playlist (the actual list), but you can't make a copy of the music from the iPad to iTunes, unless they were purchased via iTunes.

  • How do you transfer playlists from on computer to a new one, library has already been transfered

how do you transfer playlists from on computer to a new one, library has already been transfered

    - Why not just copy the iTunes computer folder to the new computer?
    - You can transfer iTunes purchases to the computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
    - You can transfer non-iTunes purchased music by using one of the third-party programs discussed in ths previous discussion:
    Best iPod to PC
    - Unless you can move/copy the iPod backup file from your old computer to the new one and restore from backup, you will have to restore to factory defaults/new iPod and thus loose all app date. The iPod backup file is located:
    Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
    Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\

Great question Rosa.Lee! Music is definitely a priority for my wireless device. From your PC, you can drag music to iTunes and it will automatically format. Then you can connect your iPad and sync.

You use iTunes to sync all music and playlists or selected playlists.Your iPad will need to have enough free space to sync the content that you have selected from your library. Tip: You can use the capacity bar at the bottom of the ipad settings window to determine how much free space is available. The size of a playlist can be determined by selecting it and looking at the bottom of the iTunes window. How to transfer music from iPad/iPad mini/iPad Air to PC,The instruction is clearly from Computer music library to iPad

  • How can I transfer photos from ipad 1 to pc

    I have an ipad 1 - ios 5.1.1
I want to transfer the photos on the ipad to a windows 8 pc.
Should be a really simple operation - yes? wrong.
After visiting 30+ webpages, downloading various 3rd party software (and deleting them again) - I am still unable to transfer photos from my ipad to a windows pc.
I connect the ipad 1 to a pc using cable.
    PC shows ipad.
Then you get the option to import photos (Which 20+ websites just repeat).
Contained in the DCIM Folder is 2 thumbnail photos. Yes - just 2. Two.
Stored on the ipad is nearly 3,000 photo's. NOT 2!
So how do you move photos from an ipad to PC?
    Next problem.
Someone recommended using Syncios - wonderful.
    All photos found.
All photos copied - except they are copied as thumbnails.
It would seem that ipad stores your photos as a thumbnail - but when you email the photo the true size is sent. (Thumbnail is 11kb - when I attach the same photo to an email it shows it as 1.1mb)
So - apart from creating and sending 3000 emails - so that I can transfer photos at their original resolution - HOW DO YOU TRANSFER PHOTOS FROM IPAD 1 TO A PC.
Apple really couldn't have made a 30second operation more difficult - or deliberately impossible.
There is NO option to do this via iTunes.
I can transfer photos from a PC to iPad using iTunes - but not the other way around.
So - please - does anyone have a degree in astro-physics that can explain how a person is supposed to transfer full sized photos, that are stored as thumbnails - from an iPAD 1 to a Win 8 pc?
ps... and yes I am irritated. This has taken me 2 days so far, and still unable.
pps... and no, I really don't need people posting - oh yes I have the same problem... I need answers.

HHow did the photos get on your iPad? since the original iPad does not have a camera, the photos were either received in emails, copied from the web or synced from your computer. If they were copied from emails or the web they should be available to copy off the iPad using whatever Camera or image capture application you have on your computer. Connect your iPad, start the application and transfer the photos.
if the photos were synced from your computer, they should still be on the computer used to sync from.

How do I transfer playlists from one ipod to another?

It needs to go through iTunes.  But there is no way to transfer songs from iPod to iTunes library (except for music you purchased from iTunes Store).  However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do a Google search on "ipod transfer," you should get some links.
Once the song files are on your computer, add them to your iTunes library.  You can then sync your iPhone to the iTunes library.
Alternately, if you sign up for the iTunes Match service, your iTunes music library on your computer will become available from iCloud.  You can set your new iPhone (assuming you bought a "new" iPhone) to sync from iCloud, instead of from your computer's iTunes.  All of your music will be available wirelessly, wherever you have an Internet connection.

  • How can I transfer playlists from my Iphone to my Computer

So I recently got a new computer and I just installed Itunes on it.
My old computer broke and so I lost the playlists in it, but I still have all my playlists and songs on my Iphone 4.
I searched up how to transfer playlists to my new computer and I found that doing a Back Up would work, so I backed up my Iphone to my new itunes and all the playlists with songs are on it.
Everything seemed fine untill i realized that I cant do anything with my music apart from playing it on my computer.
The songs play but i cant even drag them out to my desktop or anything.
Is there anything I could do to move the songs and copy them onto a file on my desktop?
Please answer asap, im frustrated and cant seem to find a solution.
    Thank You

Is there a way i can keep all my music i have on my phone and transfer it easily to my computer?
Not really. Frankly you should always keep at least two copies of your iTunes libraries on separate drives. Your iPhone could be too easily lost, stolen, damaged, or corrupted. Some of the paid transfer software does make it relatively easy to copy off the media but there are free solutions in that list too, the last three entries in particular.

  • How do I transfer a paid iPad app from one iPad to another?

I am not sure where is the best place to post this question, but here it is anyway:
The school I work in has 37 iPads split between 2 mobile carts.  For a variety of reasons, the staff wands the iPads divided up by classroom.  No problem.  The problem is that they would like the paid apps on the ipads moved around so the grade level apps wind up in the appropriate classrooms.  This is logical.
My problem is I have no real idea how to free up iPads from one iPad so that they are available for transfer to another ipad.  I use Apple Configurator to acquire paid apps from the Volume Purchasing Program and download/install them initially to iPads.
One knowledgeable individual gave me this advice:
"If you placed the apps on the ipad using Apple Configurator, then you should be able to attach the initial iPad to AC, unsupervise the iPad, and the apps' licences should be available for redistribution.  Then connect iPad #2 to AC, turn Supervision on in AC, then add the specific app to iPad #2."
    - - - - That sounded too good to be true.  I tried it and found out that that process does not free up app licences (at lest when I tried it).  What I think is the problem is that I don't know Apple products and iOS well enough and missed steps.  (I am from the Netware/Microsoft AD/Windows computing environment.)
Could someone help an old grunt out and possibly provide a detailled set of steps how to transfer paid app licences from one iPad to another?  I appreciate any help.  Thanks

I can't answer your question and chances are that you could be here a long time before someone that can help will chime in. So from one old grunt to another, I think you would be better off posting your question in this forum. These folks should be more familiar with the type of thing that you are seeking help with.

Sync them via iTunes. All your apps should be backed up in your iTunes Library anyway.
